Rogers attended the special day with his wife, Teresa, as well as his son and daughter, Cale and Sara. The event was held at Eight4Nine Restaurant and Lounge, owned by famed Hollywood photographer John Paschal, according to Michael Fairman TV.

Rogers has been playing GH's WSB superspy Robert Scorpio off and on since 1980. Although Robert left town with longtime love Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) on November 12, he promised Holly they would eventually return to be with their daughter, Sasha (Sofia Mattsson).

Holly only recently revealed that Sasha was hers and Robert's daughter, so it would only make sense for the characters to end up in Port Charles again sometime soon. After all, Roberts wants to get to know the adult daughter he never knew he had.

Rogers, who hails from Melbourne, appeared in several Australian TV shows in the 1970s before making the move to the United States. By 1980, he became a bona fide soap star playing the agent who helped Luke and Laura save the world from the evil Cassadines.

Thirty years later, Rogers landed another big soap role when he originated the character of Colin Atkinson on The Young and the Restless. Colin was the father of Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) and eventually married and divorced Jill (Jess Walton).

Unlike the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles, the Palm Springs Walk of Stars honors longtime residents who have made an impact on the community.

"With over 400 stars, this pathway pays homage to an eclectic mix of luminaries, from Hollywood icons to sports legends and even local celebrities," is how the official website describes the Palm Springs Walk of Stars. "Each star is a lasting testament to these remarkable individuals’ talent and contributions, further solidifying Palm Springs’ allure as a true haven for the stars. As you stroll along the Walk of Stars, you’ll encounter a constellation of recognizable names and faces. It is a time capsule, transporting visitors back to Hollywood’s golden age."

Rogers joined other Hollywood legends like Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra, Ricky Nelson, and Adam West when he received his star.
