General Hospital's Lucky returns with someone new

Now that Jonathan Jackson's Lucky is officially back on General Hospital, he will bring a new character into the story, played by Star Trek: Discovery alum Sawandi Wilson.

Although viewers caught a glimpse of Lucky in what seemed to be some sort of prison at the tail end of the August 23 episode, Wilson won't air until August 26, according to Deadline.

As of now, all that's known about his character is that his name is Isaiah, and he has a "connection" to Lucky. Could he be one of the people holding Lucky captive, or is he one of the other prisoners? Maybe Isaiah is a friend Lucky made during his years in Africa. As far as the audience knows, Lucky has been living in Africa for nearly a decade.

In the previews for Monday, Lucky tells a man that he will do whatever that person wants. Is that person Isaiah?

Who is Sawandi Wilson?

According to IMDb, Wilson was born and raised in New York and was a breakdancer with a degree in sociology from Hofstra University before he decided to pursue acting.

Aside from his work on Star Trek: Discovery, where he played Captain Leto during the show's final season, Wilson has appeared in a variety of other series, including Dudes, Harlem, and The House of Flowers.

With Wilson joining the GH cast as part of Jackson's long-anticipated return, fans can expect to see him featured prominently, as it looks like Lucky's whereabouts and activities over the last few years are about to be the subjects of a major storyline.

It's not yet known whether Isaiah is a long-term or short-term character, but perhaps he will arrive in Port Charles with Lucky and somehow become involved with Ava. After news of Wilson joining GH broke, actress Maura West reposted the news on X (formerly Twitter). While West only included fireworks and star emojis in her repost, it left fans wondering if West was trying to tell fans something about Isaiah.
