It's a busy week for General Hospital's Michael Corinthos when the truth about his wife becomes public knowledge. However, when Michael gets a few surprises, Chad Duell will not be playing the role. Instead, Robert Adamson is back as his replacement.
General Hospital temporarily recasts Michael
Adamson filled in as Michael in 2022 when Duell was unable to work. This time, Soap Opera Digest cites a scheduling conflict as the reason for the recast.

Adamson spent eight episodes playing Michael and brought the character to life during court scenes when Nina (Cynthia Watros) sued Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael for visitation rights to see Wiley, her grandson. Adamson was back just a few months later when Willow dreamed that Nelle had returned from the dead to kidnap Wiley.
Adamson is best known to soap fans as The Young and the Restless' Noah Newman, a part he played off and on from 2012 to 2020. When he last appeared as Noah, the character had returned to town for a special party honoring his grandfather, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Adamson was once engaged to Days of our Lives star Linsey Godfrey (Sarah Horton), and the pair shares a daughter, who was born in 2014. They met when he was on Y&R and Godfrey played Caroline Spencer on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Michael's complicated life
During Adamson's current go-around as Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny's (Maurice Benard) son this week, Michael is about to get a shock. Cody just announced to a bar full of people that Michael's uncle, Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison), was sleeping with Nina while also sneaking off for some passionate moments with Michael's wife, Willow.
Nina warns Willow that her secret is out of the bag, but is Willow too late to confess all to her husband? Will he learn the truth before Willow can explain her whole sordid tale?
Michael is set to get a big surprise this week, so it looks like the character is about to learn that his pure and perfect wife isn't so pure and perfect after all. Considering how close Michael and Drew have been since Drew returned from the dead in 2021, this will feel like a complete betrayal from all ends.
There is no word on how long Adamson will remain in the role or when Duell will return. Duell has been playing Michael since 2010 and won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2015.
