General Hospital fans are about to meet a brand-new man in town on March 13 when Adrian Anchondo debuts as an attorney named Marco.
General Hospital's new mystery man

GH spoilers tease that Lucas is going to have a fascinating encounter on Thursday and TV Insider reveals that Anchando screen-tested with Van Hansis, who plays Dr. Jones. Coincidentally, the two actors already knew each other.
"Van and I met each other at Williamstown Theater Festival 20 years ago," Anchondo told TV Insider. "I think we did a play with each other. It’s funny because I remember having a little crush on him back then, and we’ve been in the same circles because we have mutual friends. So, I felt totally comfortable. Van is a very comfortable person to be around, regardless if you’ve known him for 20 years or not."
Anchando's previous screen credits include Law and Order: Organized Crime, NCIS: Los Angeles, and The Rookie.
Getting to know Marco

While there's not a lot of information available about Marco and how the new contract character will be involved with Lucas, Anchando did drop some hints about what we can expect to see.
"The character has been very sweet and charming, and, of course, it wouldn’t be a soap opera without dark secrets somewhere," he said. "He’s also very intelligent and very articulate, which is kind of the opposite of who I am as a person. I don’t find myself to be the most articulate person. I don’t think I’ve ever played a lawyer. I’ve definitely been on the other end from Viola Davis grilling me on How to Get Away with Murder, so that’ll take getting used to. Van was like, ‘I gotta play a doctor on here, and there’s so many things about the human body that I’m just learning,’ so I’m like, 'If he can do it, I think I can handle the legal stuff.'"
Is it possible Anchando is coming onto the scene as a new love interest for Lucas? The character nearly reunited with ex-husband Brad (Parry Shen) last week, but the reunion fell flat when Lucas realized Brad is the same schemer he always was. Lucas was left heartbroken once again, but it might be time for the legacy character to find a new love.
