General Hospital's Laura is about to pay a visit to the son she can find, Nikolas, and Adam Huss is once again reprising the role of the dark Cassadine prince.

Another General Hospital stint for Adam Huss

Huss was last seen on GH when Laura took a drive to Pentonville in April of this year. Not long after, she learned Nikolas was being transferred to a prison outside Port Charles. Fans can only assume Laura has been visiting him there regularly, but her next visit comes with a mission.

When Laura and Nikolas come face to face on August 27, she delivers sad news. Lulu is in need of a liver transplant, and her best chance at finding a match is with one of her siblings. Nikolas was a bone marrow match for Lulu when she was a toddler suffering from aplastic anemia. Perhaps he will be a liver match, as well. Laura already has the prison infirmary on alert, ready to test Nikolas when she gets there.

Adam Huss loves playing Nikolas

In July, Huss thanked GH fans for their love and loyalty with a tweet.

"Don't think I don't see all your #GH love for #Nikolas," he wrote. "I see you and I appreciate you all! As you know I love playing Nikolas Mikael Stavrosavich Cassadine so wherever the journey takes me YOUR love always resonates with me. Wanted to take a moment to express that! Thank you."

At the time, he didn't mention any more return appearances, but GH's tape schedule indicates that he might have been filming this week's scenes around the time he reached out to fans on social media.

Huss's first appearance on GH came when he pinch-hit for Marcus Coloma in 2021. After Coloma left the soap in early 2022, Huss played out the end of Nikolas' storyline. The character was presumed dead after Ava clocked him over the head with a gargoyle statue, but Ava only thought she'd killed her ex-husband. Months later, Nikolas turned up alive, being cared for by the late Austin Gatlin-Holt.

Huss has returned as Nikolas several times since then, including for emotional scenes in which he said goodbye to his baby son, Ace, earlier this year when Nikolas headed to prison.

Will Huss one day play Nikolas on a more long-term basis as many fans have asked for? Time will tell.
