Danger intensifies in Salem as Connie's plan starts unraveling before her eyes. Now that Rafe is awake, he can tell Jada what happened the night he was stabbed. He doesn't remember everything, but he does recall hearing a woman's voice.
Meanwhile, it looks like Ava figures out what Connie has been up to, so Connie has to take matters into her own hands. Stefan walks in just as Connie puts a knife to Ava's throat. Jada also gets a shock when she bursts through a door with her gun out.
Gabi also finds herself terrified for her life when she appears to be stuck in the same room as a bomb. Is Connie responsible for the bomb as well as Jada's big surprise? Perhaps Gabi will finally learn that her trusted assistant is the one who made sure she spent the better part of a year behind bars for a crime Gabi didn't commit.
Steve wants answers
Steve's gut is telling him that the woman walking around town, claiming she's Abigail DiMera, is really an imposter. To get to the truth, Steve asks Kayla to perform another DNA test.
Meanwhile, Clyde orders Mark to make sure his sister plays her part well. Perhaps she plays it too well when she finds herself falling for Chad. Clyde tells Mark that his sister needs to get Chad to put a ring on it, which looks like it might happen sooner rather than later.
Lust in the afternoon?
It wouldn't be a soap without a little passion to round out the week. Both Stephanie and Alex have been lonely lately, so the exes who are now neighbors share a passionate kiss. Does it lead to more?
Gabi might find herself in danger with a bomb that's about to go off, but that doesn't mean she doesn't find time to enjoy herself with E.J. once again. While E.J. and Gabi are surely not in love, they certainly seem to be in lust. Could Gabi and Stefan's marriage really be over forever?
