Chad Duell is enjoying his best life post-General Hospital

General Hospital fans have been in a tizzy ever since Kelly Monaco exited the part of Sam, and on the heels of that, Chad Duell left the role of Michael. While Sam was killed off, Michael survived an explosion in Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) penthouse but suffered major burns, requiring him to get experimental treatment in Germany — a great plot point that has the character off the canvas with the promise of an eventual return. Duell took to social media to show the fun he’s having while taking a much-needed break from the show.(See who General Hospital fans think set the bomb off in Sonny’s penthouse.)

They were horsing around

On Instagram, General Hospital’s Chad Duell shared some pics of him and his lady love, Luana Garcia, the mother of his child, doing some horseback riding. He wrote, “Thanks for a great time @sunsetranchhollywood! We Loved it! 🐴 🤠 @itsluanagarcia.” The Sunset Ranch Hollywood is a horseback riding center that gives “hourly Hollywood trail rides & evening rides with a view of the Hollywood sign,” according to its own Instagram page.

The fans all missed Duell on General Hospital, with @5220_sunshine commenting, “So glad to see you’re enjoying life! That’s key! Just so you know, you’re sorely missed on GH! If and when you come back, and I’m sure the producers of the show would love that, but know more importantly, we your fans would be thrilled to see you again!! Just think about it! Similarly, @leanne_619 responded, “Miss you on [GH]. I hope that you’re feeling peace and enjoying your family. I hope like all your fans that you decide to come back to GH.” The fans were extremely happy to see Duell doing well.

Over on Garcia’s Instagram page, she also shared a pic of her and Duell atop horses, along with other pics of her engaging with the strong animals and a video of her petting the one she would ride. She captioned them, “Valentine’s may be over, but adventures never stop! ❤️🐴 A week after the holiday, I took my boyfriend to @sunsetranchhollywood for an unforgettable experience instead of exchanging gifts—because memories last way longer than things.”

She explained how horses have been a part of her life since childhood. “I grew up on a farm, and as a kid, I was always riding—galloping through open fields, rounding up cows, and feeling that incredible sense of freedom. Horses have always had a special place in my heart, and this ride through the Hollywood hills brought back so many childhood feelings. The views, the fresh air, and the amazing horses made it all perfect,” she wrote.

Although he’s not on General Hospital anymore, Duell and Garcia are really enjoying themselves, and fans were thrilled to see it.
