The fact that General Hospital's Chase can’t father a child has been overshadowed by his wife Brook Lynn’s revelation that she not only had a baby as a teen but that the father was Dante (Dominic Zamprogna).
Josh Swickard, whose characters have faced far less drama in the Netflix movies A California Christmas and A California Christmas: City Lights, recently opened up about everything Chase is going through.
General Hospital's Chase's life takes a turn

Swickard recently talked with Woman’s World about his character's plight.
“Chase is dealing with a lot, frankly, and just trying to keep his head above water, Swickard said. "I don't think Chase fully knows how to process it yet or what it means for their future and what options they have — and now, he's getting another massive curveball from Brook Lynn."
That curveball, of course, is the news about Brook Lynn's baby and his paternity. The good thing is that Chase is a rather level-headed guy who is understanding when it comes to Brook Lynn.
“I love that,” Swickard remarked about Chase’s demeanor. “He’s stoic, steady Eddie. It doesn’t matter what life throws at him, he can take a deep breath, talk it out, and get to the other side of it in a very calm and hopefully mature way.”
Chase is the man for the moment

Swickard know that Chase hasthe ability to take his wife and her myriad of complicated issues in stride.
“There’s something really admirable about that,” Swickard explained, saying he would like to be more like Chase in real life. “It’s great to see that in a soap character we’re all watching.”
When Chase and Brook Lynn first started interacting, he ended up arresting her a few times, but they ultimately fell for each other. Swickard remarked that Brook Lynn mesmerized Chase because of her strong will. “She’s everything that he’s not, and vice versa,” he said. "So they’ve got a neat relationship. There’s something so fun in that dichotomy.”
It helps that he admires his co-star as much as Chase admires BLQ.
"She's just a phenomenal actress," he said. "She's had a very full career and now we're in similar stages with family and young kids, so we get along really well."
