On General Hospital, Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) and Jack (Chris McKenna) are trying to break Josslyn (Eden McCoy). Not in a bad way, of course. She’s in WSB training, and they’re testing her mettle and her will to see if she’ll become a good spy. Jack already saw the spark in her that told him she’d be perfectly suited to be an intelligence agent. Her training is rigorous, and her handler, Vaughn, must break her down so she can be built back up and transformed into a super spy. And when she returns to Port Charles, Joss is going to be far more formidable than anyone realizes.
Jason’s going to be shocked

In the 1980s, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) changed things by being incredible spies who ventured into James Bond or Secret Agent Man territory on a soap opera. Now, with the WSB having a satellite station set up in Port Charles, the action is going to heat up.
A while ago, the Bureau tried recruiting Curtis (Donnell Turner), who ultimately turned them down. More recently, Brennan tried to get Jason (Steve Burton) to join the agency, but he also turned them down. Joss, however, jumped at the chance.
Jason is the most lethal hitman Port Charles has ever seen. But when Josslyn returns, she might be able to give him a run for his money (remember, a few months of training on a soap is the equivalent to years of real-world training). A fun scene will be Jason and Joss in a situation where they’re faced with bad guys, and Jason will initially think that he needs to protect her. But when she shows him up and kicks bad guy butt, he’s going to be impressed as well as concerned.
A team-up between the two, as well as with Anna (Finola Hughes), will be an incredible sight to behold.
Considering spy training involves compartmentalizing one’s emotions, being prepared for any dangerous situation, and a host of other qualities, Joss’ mother, Carly (Laura Wright), may notice a change in her daughter’s demeanor right away. She may not be happy that Jack molded her daughter into a lethal spy, but when bad guys come knocking, she’ll be glad her daughter can kick butt big time.
The story possibilities are endless

The whole is a nod to Alias, an ABC series that ran from 2001 to 2006. In it, Jennifer Garner played Sydney Bristow, a college woman recruited by a shadow organization to become an espionage agent. She even had a handler named Vaughn, played by Michael Vartan. The show was action-packed from beginning to end, and we’re looking forward to the same on GH.
Port Charles is a hotbed of criminal activity, attracting even international baddies because it’s situated on Lake Erie, making it a prime access route to Canada and the Atlantic Ocean. Mob boss Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has been controlling the Northeastern Seafront for three decades, but he can’t do it forever. So when rival gangs come in and try to take advantage of his heart ailment and seize Port Charles, Joss may have to step in and spectacularly defeat them.
We know McCoy has the acting chops, and it might be cool to see her go up against the villain Sidwell (Carlo Rota) or others like Jerry Jacks (Sebastian Roche). Perhaps even a return of international super villain Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) is in order. He would love to match wits with her.
As Jack told Joss when he offered her the job, she can infiltrate places as a young woman that an older man such as himself could not. That opens the door for all kinds of fun stories. For example, perhaps at Port Charles University, there’s a group of computer students who are secretly working for an international criminal using hacking techniques. Joss will need to go in undercover and stop them from within.
The number of dangerous situations she could be in is incredible, and hopefully, we’ll get to see them play out on the show. If they can’t do it for budget reasons, and if the story is handled properly, perhaps Joss can be spun off into her own primetime action series. Wouldn’t that be amazing?
