Liver transplant Lulu leaves on a jet plane: General Hospital Two Scoops for the week of December 23, 2024

It was a short and sweet week on General Hospital with another short and sweet week coming up. That doesn't mean a lot didn't happen in a short amount of time. We even had a big comeback and that start of an international adventure — and it all seemed to happen on Christmas Eve.

Little lost Lulu breaks her promise to Tracy

Lulu started her week swearing up and down to Tracy that she wouldn't forget she had a son who was overjoyed to have his mother back. Sadly, she forgot that promise 20 minutes later when that son handed her the phone and her daughter was on the other end.

Poor Rocco had been looking forward to having his mother there on Christmas morning but she had to run off to Prague to find Charlotte, who she knew was safe for the moment with her father. Since Lulu took off to Prague, so did Dante. Hello? Did BOTH parents forget about Rocco? Did he have NOBODY with him to open presents on Christmas morning? The kid just lost the woman he thought of as a stepmother, he moved into a new home, his mother emerged from a four-year coma and both his folks took off to find his sister on Christmas. We hope Laura took the kid in for a day.

And just how did Lulu manage to get to Prague so fast after just having a liver transplant while in a coma? She should never have been walking, much less hitchhiking within hours of waking, but how did she get changed so fast? How did she get a travel bag of clothes? We will assume Tracy gave her the money and that she had recently renewed her passport prior to the explosion at the Floating Rib. But did she remember her anti-rejection meds? Doesn't she still have stitches from her surgery? How is she doing any of this? MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!!

As an aside, should someone have mentioned to Laura that she has three kids? All she could talk about were that both of her children would be with her for Christmas for the first time in years (they weren't). However, she apparently forgot all about that time in the early 80s when she was presumed dead and had a baby she left on Cassdine Island for his Uncle Stefan to raise.

My Funny Valentin is back in action

Thankfully, Lulu's plane trip to Prague brought our clumsy, suave, often-crying, piano-playing, Italian shoe-wearing, French-speaking boyfriend Valentin back to the scene. When Valentin appeared at that window, we let out three cheers (well, maybe a lot more than three) at seeing our favorite Cassadine back on our screens. Everything is just a little more exciting, French, emotional, and musical when Valentin is around. Now, if we can find him that Fisher Price piano again, all will be right with our soap world.

There's still nothing more ewww than Willow and Drew

The fact that this writer is on Michael's side in any storyline says it all. Willow is just the absolute worst. She went from telling her creepy stalker Drew that he needed to stay away from her so she could fix their marriage to wondering how the miracle of them finding each other happened? Is Willow sipping some of that extra special tea Shiloh and Harmony used so he could rape her and other women?

That line was almost (but not quite) as ridiculous as when she announced that Harmony, the woman who handed her to a cult leader to be raped, was a better mother than her actual mother, Nina, the woman Harmony kidnapped her from. But at least someone finally let loose with all the juice and told Willow exactly who she was.

Yes, Lucas Jones gets the hero cape this week because he didn't care that it was Christmas Eve. He bargd into Nina's pretty pastel apartment and tell Willow everything she needed to hear. Oh no, they had feelings! Boo-hoo! We thought Lucas was going to clock them both when Drew tried using the dead Sam card apparently forgetting that Lucas was Sam's sister and declared her time of death. Drew? Shhhhh... You're not helping.

Blank slate Emma tears through Port Charles

It's high time GH brought Emma back because the show needed a feisty addition to its younger set. We just didn't expect her to be this brand of feisty. This Emma is not a sweet little girl anymore at all. In fact, she is a partying college student who steals wallets on Christmas Eve, lies to her parents, and gets expelled from prestigious universities.

Some fans say Emma has had a personality transplant, but has she? We never saw her grow into a teenager and we saw her for a handful of scenes in 2023 as a pure and perfect college student. But was that the real Emma or was she putting on a show for her grandparents?

The fact is, Emma is a blank slate. Yes, she is a legacy character but one whose recent history we do not know. And we like this Emma. She might be the perfect foil for Josslyn while driving Anna bananas. Anna has been too serious and woeful of late. Perhaps Emma living in her apartment is just what Anna needs.

Tolly take two???

Is GH really giving us another infertility story when we just had one with Molly and TJ that resulted in Kristina falling out a window while nine months pregnant? Aren't Brook Lynn and Chase boring enough that we need to add a snooze of a story that we already just saw a year ago? This time, we won't get a surrogate. Instead, we'll get a long-lost violin-playing college student. Yay? Wake us when it's over.

Dex? Who's Dex?

Does anyone at all care about poor dead Dex? Is she going to have a funeral? Will Joss shed another tear? What is even happening here? Joss is dressing up, playing cards, going to work... She doesn't have a care in the world even though the alleged love of her life just died.

Joss should be completely broken because she no longer has anyone to go off on Sonny with after a romp in the sack. But, if that was really a heart attack Sonny was having, Josslyn might come to regret her past words...
