General Hospital: Laura gets bad news about Lulu
General Hospital: Laura gets bad news about Lulu

Laura was stunned when she walked into Lulu's hospital room and found Cyrus standing there with an open Bible. When Laura asked "what the hell" he was doing there, Cyrus replied, "Hell has nothing to do with it, sister."

Laura assured her comatose daughter that she was there for Lulu, then she left the room to talk to Cyrus in the hall. Laura explained to her brother that she was there because Lulu's doctor had summoned her, but she wanted to know the real reason Cyrus was there. Cyrus told her that he visited Lulu frequently, which surprised Laura.

Cyrus revealed that he sat with Lulu two to three times a week, reading the Bible. Laura was upset that Cyrus had never told her, but she appreciated his intentions. Kevin soon arrived to be moral support for Laura before she spoke to Lulu's doctor. When Dr. Kitsen approached them, she said she wanted to discuss what actions to take going forward, but not until after the doctor had more test results.

Cyrus told Laura that he would leave her alone with Kevin. Once Cyrus left, Laura said she wasn't sure how she felt about Cyrus visiting Lulu. Laura and Kevin entered Lulu's room to wait for the doctor. Laura said that whenever Lulu's doctors called, she always had a surge of hope that Lulu was awake and asking for her.

Dr. Kitsen soon returned with bad news. Lulu's liver was compromised and might soon begin to fail. "Are you telling me that my daughter's going to die?" Laura tearfully asked.

Sam was happy to see Dante arrive home but told him she was headed over to Alexis' house to see Kristina. Sam was taken aback when Dante informed her that Kristina was not at Alexis' place because Kristina had been arrested. He also shared that Laura had told him that something had happened with Lulu, but he didn't know what. "She's just been a prisoner in that bed for so long now. We had hopes of miracles happening, but now, it just feels like those chances are slim," Dante said.

Sam received a call alerting her that Kristina's hearing was about to start. Sam wanted to be there to support her sister, so she asked that Dante keep her updated on Lulu's condition. After Sam left, Dante told Rocco that Laura had needed to cancel her plans with Rocco because she had to visit Lulu. Rocco said he loved visiting his mother because it was always peaceful, but he opened up that he was afraid he would soon forget his mother's voice. Rocco explained that he had video recordings of Lulu, but her voice in the recordings didn't quite match the voice he remembered.

At the hospital, Molly met with T.J. in his office. T.J. worried how Molly had been handling things with Kristina's fall. Molly assured him that Alexis would take care of Kristina. Molly told T.J. that Jordan had reprimanded her for visiting Ava while Ava had been behind bars.

Molly apologized to T.J. for being emotionally absent since the baby had died, but T.J. assured her that he knew she'd been grieving, too. T.J. was surprised when Molly told him that John had arrested Kristina. Molly said that she had defended Kristina to John, but she wondered if she'd done the right thing.

Molly admitted that she'd been furious when she'd gone to see Ava in jail, so Molly could see Kristina being just as angry when Kristina had visited Ava's suite at Metro Court. T.J. told Molly about his visit with Ava, and he confessed that he believed that Kristina was partly to blame for the fall. After Molly got a text about Kristina's hearing, T.J. encouraged her to go see Kristina and not to worry about him for the moment.

At the police station, Alexis warned John that she'd requested an emergency hearing for Kristina, calling John's actions "malicious prosecution."

Sonny visited Kristina in the interrogation room. A tearful Kristina asked Sonny why it was all happening, so he promised to take care of everything. Kristina insisted that she hadn't tried to kill Ava and that Ava had grabbed her.

Sonny told Kristina a bit about his history with John. He admitted that he felt guilty for past actions, but Kristina said none of that mattered to her. Kristina was relieved when Alexis entered and announced that Kristina's hearing was imminent.

Once alone, Kristina remembered Ava touching her arm, her yelling at Ava not to touch her, tripping over the duffel bag, and falling out the window. Kristina kept telling herself that the fall wasn't her fault because Ava had grabbed her.

Before the arraignment began, Sonny and Alexis met in the courthouse halls. Sonny worried that Alexis was rusty in court, but Alexis thought she could handle things fine.

Down the hall, John met with the prosecuting attorney, who felt like he didn't have a clear-cut case and didn't want to go before the judge. John demanded that the attorney make sure Kristina was held without bail. When the hearing began, Alexis made her arguments, pointing out that Kristina had just undergone an emergency C-section. The judge was outraged to learn the prosecution had no real evidence to present, so she released Kristina on her own recognizance.

John immediately jumped out of his seat. "Your honor, you are making a mistake," John argued. The judge was not amused and warned John he could be cited for contempt if he didn't get his case in order within 48 hours.

Nina walked into the Jerome Gallery just as Ava left a voicemail message for Scott. A frustrated Ava threw the phone across the room before Nina made her presence known. "I think you dropped something," Nina said.

Nina was curious about Ava's phone conversation and wondered why Ava was talking about John in relation to her custody case. Ava told Nina that John had visited her hotel room, trying to get information about Sonny, and Sonny had stopped by to confront her about the custody case. Ava claimed that Sonny scared her, but Nina didn't believe Sonny would ever harm Ava.

"That man hates me as much as he ever did. And Cates was there for me like some kind of hero," Ava said. Ava further explained that John had offered to help her, so Ava had taken him up on his offer but regretted it. "I think I made a gigantic mistake," Ava confessed.

Ava admitted that she realized how obsessive John was about Sonny, but Ava also worried about the charges that she faced because of Kristina's fall. Nina finally asked Ava what had really happened with Kristina that fateful day. Ava continued to insist that everything had been an accident. "No matter how selfish or bad I am, you know that I would never hurt a child," Ava said.

Nina and Ava sat down so Ava could go over the sequence of events leading up to Kristina's fall. Ava told Nina about the subpoena, about Sonny attacking Dex, and how Kristina had barged into Ava's suite, screaming. "I guess at some point, I put my hand on her, and she jerked away. She stumbled back, she tripped over some luggage, and she went crashing through the window," Ava explained.

Nina questioned Ava about the luggage, so Ava confessed that she had allowed John to keep his bags in her room because Carly had kicked him out of the hotel. However, Ava admitted that she had hidden the bags because she hadn't wanted to explain why she'd had an FBI agent's things. Nina said that she believed Ava's story. As Nina walked out, Ava apologized to Nina. Nina's eyes welled up with tears, but she kept her back to Ava. "Me, too," Nina said.

A short time later, John arrived to talk to Ava. He ranted about what had happened in court, but Ava was surprised to learn that Kristina had been arrested. However, Ava was more concerned about Scott because she hadn't heard from him all day. John assured Ava that she didn't need Scott because she had John. "I'm the only hope you have left," John said.

John told Ava that he needed to record her statement about what had happened with Kristina. When Ava argued that she'd already given a statement, John said she'd have to give another one. "But this time, you'll say it exactly the way I want you to," John insisted.

Ava offered to give the statement in the morning, but John explained that he only had 48 hours, so he needed Ava to practice what to say until it was perfect.
