Is Cody's next General Hospital love match on the way?

General Hospital's Cody is in search of a love interest again after learning Sasha is his cousin. Is there a chance this hapless Port Charles soul will finally find his soul mate?

Cody's sad General Hospital love life

Poor Cody is forever unlucky in love. His first romantic pairing with Britt Westbourne went nowhere after Kelly Thiebaud chose to leave the show and Britt was killed. Cody's friendship with Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) built for over a year until they finally admitted they had feelings for one another, but that relationship is also now a bust.

After becoming official but before consummating things, Cody and Sasha learned they were cousins. Out of nowhere, Sasha became the long-lost daughter of Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers). With Cody being Mac Scorpio's (John J. York) son, Sasha was forced to gently break things off with Cody, which sent Cody into a downward spiral.

We have had a few hints as to where things might go with Cody next. Actor Josh Kelly finds one particular scenario to be the most appealing.

A friendly love triangle (or two)?

Not long after Cody and Sasha broke up, Cody picked up a hitchhiker who turned out to be Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins), fresh from her four-year coma. Nobody even knew that Lulu was awake at that point. When Cody and Lulu met again weeks later, there seemed to be a bit of a spark between them, but she is also the ex-wife of Cody's BFF, Dante.

"Oh, I’d love for there to be an awkward love triangle!" Kelly told Soap Opera Digest. "Alexa is great. Chloe [Lanier, his real-life girlfriend, ex-Nelle Benson] and I hung out with her and her husband at the GH Christmas party, and we all got along quite well. They’re very fun! They’re a great couple, and she’s great — she’s got great energy."

Cody and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) have also mentioned both being at summer camp when teenage Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) apparently became pregnant. Either one of them could turn out to be her teen baby daddy, which could then spark another triangle, but Lulu or Brook Lynn isn't Cody's only option.

The other side of a jail cell?

Cody's breakup with Sasha has caused him to act out a bit and revert back to the person he was when he first arrived in Port Charles in 2022. Kelly understands why Cody is heading back to square one.

"A lot of people know what it’s like to feel desperate, and when you’re feeling desperate, you’re willing to rely on the things you know," Kelly said. "And that’s what Cody knows! Cody has only recently — and very briefly — been a good guy, and he was doing it for a girl [Sasha]. And he lost the girl, so we’ll see…. He’s definitely reverting a little bit back to his old ways."

During his recent stint in lockup after a bar brawl at Charlie's Pub, Cody met Assistant District Attorney Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos). During their little official exchange, Cody and Molly shared some back-and-forth banter that looked as if it was meant to be a chemistry test between the two characters. Fans sat up and took notice so maybe it will take straight-laced Molly to tame bad boy Cody.
