How General Hospital fans really feel about Jason and Sasha's fake romance

It's official! General Hospital's Jason and Sasha are a couple — or at least what they want everyone to believe. The first step in completing that mission was a very public display of affection at the PCPD, something that took fans by surprise, but not necessarily in a good way.

Make it make sense, General Hospital

Sasha claims that she just doesn't want Michael to lose his other two kids, Wiley and Amelia, in a custody fight. She fears that will happen if a judge learns that Michael cheated with her, resulting in this pregancy.

However, Sasha's other reason for not wanting Michael involved in their child's life was that he was both a Quartermaine and a Corinthos. She didn't want her baby in this crazy family or to have mob ties that could put them in danger. However, Michael's Uncle Jason is also both a Quartermaine, and has mob ties as the number one Corinthos hitman.

That's why GH fans are left scratching their heads as to why Sasha would choose Jason as her alternate baby daddy.

"This Jason/Sasha story doesn't even line up with the logic Sasha had of just raising the baby herself without Michael," tweeted X user @AlanSarapa. "Jason literally kills people for a living! If you were concerned about mob violence, he'd be the last man you'd want to be your fake baby daddy!"

@HotVannaNights concurs. "Sasha didn’t want her child to live in danger because they’d be Sonny’s grandchild," they wrote. "Jason cried seeing Michael impacted by mob violence again, didn’t want that for his son. So of course they both think it’s ideal he claims Sasha baby as his own."

"I’m sorry this Jason and Saha story makes no sense and it’s even worst that they are failing not only in potential romance chemistry but friendship chemistry," @expressrealism remarked. "Also Sasha didn’t want her child with the Q’s or around danger… Jason is the checkmark on both categories."

Chemistry...or not?

GH fans are still on the fence as to whether Jason and Sasha even have any chemistry as a potential couple. While there are some fans who are enjoying the prospect of a Jason and Sasha pairing, many are ready to nix it already.

@ TamiiJay didn't mince words at all, saying, "I HATED Sasha kissing Jason with everything I hold dear"

"We DID NOT need to see Jason and Sasha making out," Blue Sky user @Kalis emphatically stated.

Compared to another new GH pair, @SonnyAndCarly finds Jason and Sasha to be palatable.

"Jason and Sasha aren’t as gross as Drew and willow and they got a lil chemistry," the wrote on X.

Others are enjoying the story, with one fan preferring Jason and Sasha's kiss to that other lip lock moment Jason experienced last summer.

"And the most important thing about the Sasha Jason kiss..it makes sense and gives good soap drama AND did not give me the ick 🙈 reaction that I had with the Jason/Anna kiss," @sandravision wrote on Blue Sky.

At least some fans were entertained by one character's reaction to Jason and Sasha's kiss, one that Sasha initiated so that Willow would not think Michael was the father of her baby.

"I can't stop laughing at Mac's reaction to seeing Sasha and Jason kiss. His 'No, no, no,'" wrote @prisma8slg. "Willow was the intended audience, but Mac definitely got a front row seat."
