General Hospital’s Willow : On her way out or just out of luck?

In the world of General Hospital, Katelyn MacMullen’s Willow hasn’t made the best of choices as of late...or ever. Despite everyone’s warnings, she continues to not only see Drew (Cameron Mathison) but sees the “best” in him, seemingly buying into the stories he feeds her and his “honest” approach to their relationship.

The biggest gripe heard around the world, and from her own mother, Nina (Cynthia Watros) is that Willow’s naivete and willingness to go so far as to move in with Drew could end up costing her her children as Michael (Chad Duell) is in recovery and will most likely not take kindly to Willow and Drew still being together and also taking the next big step with moving in together.

General Hospital Affairs

Willow and Drew’s relationship began as an affair while Willow was still married to Michael and was certainly not a good look for Michael’s uncle and soon-to-be ex-wife. But this isn’t Willow’s first affair; Willow also slept with Michael while married to Chase (Josh Swickard). So, is Willow feeding into the stereotype of once a cheater, always a cheater?

Of course, Willow had strange beginnings, to put it lightly, with DoD being her introduction into the world and Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) abusing her for most of her life. However, nothing can excuse being unfaithful to your spouse. And, with another marriage down the drain, would Willow be up for marrying again? Would Drew propose? Or will everything come crashing down when Michael fights Willow for custody of their children? He could potentially have a case in court due to the fact that there appeared to be no real structure for the children. But, Drew has assured Willow that they're basically untouchable because he's a congressman, but also because he doesn't believe Michael would fight for custody. Is Drew right? When he isn't around to speak for himself, all of this about Michael seems a bit unfair.

Family Ties

Try as she might, Nina simply cannot convince Willow of Drew’s sheer evil. Nina has offered to buy Willow her own house for her and the children, Wiley(Viron Weaver) and Amelia (Sequoia & Serenity Mork Macko), which Willow refused. Nina then got candid with Willow and let her know that moving in with Drew could mean she loses custody of her children as Michael could cite their ongoing relationship as a problem to the courts during the divorce proceedings. Will the aftermath of her and Michael’s divorce proceedings drive Willow to leave Port Charles for good? Is Drew enough of a reason for her to stick around amid another scandal? Will the grandparents involved even allow her to leave town with the children? Would she leave by herself if provoked far enough? Only time will tell.
