General Hospital: Best of the Week, September 8 - September 12, 2025
Welcome to the Best of the Week for General Hospital, where we highlight some of the week’s standout moments, scenes, notables, quotables, fashion, and more!
GENERAL HOSPITAL’S BEST OF THE WEEK

"Hello, Jack.”

I knew Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) would be reappearing sometime, but I didn’t expect it to be so soon. I love that they had him appear from Steinmauer in a video chat with Brennan instead of showing up magically freed from prison.
Josslyn kinda saves Jason
Josslyn is a neophyte to the spy world, but she did manage to pistol-whip the guy who was trying to kill Jason. Jason would have likely managed to get free anyway, but hey, she helped to expedite the process, and with Britt's ankle bomb, time was of the essence.
Liesl slaps Britt
I mean, this was a wallop! Liesl was stunned and overwhelmed with emotion after finding out her Britta was alive. To suddenly find out Britt was a part of faking her own death and didn’t let her know was just too much for Liesl to bear. Her hurt and anger exploded off the screen as she slapped Britt. Kathleen Gati’s emotional performance in the hospital and penthouse scenes was simply fantastic. It’s no surprise she is Soap Central’s General Hospital Performer of the Week!
SCENES

Brick, Carly, & Sonny in the office
It’s always cute to see Brick light up and get flirty when Carly enters the room, while Sonny rolls his eyes. Maurice Benard, Steven A. Smith, and Laura Wright look like they're genuinely having fun in their scenes together.
Two clowns short of a circus
Ava & Kristina, and eventually Alexis, getting into Ric’s phone and debating over how to write the emails was such a fun bit of absurdist comedy. The whole situation is bananas and two clowns short of a circus, but it’s entertaining and I want more of it! Kate Mansi, Maura West, & Nancy Lee Grahn play so well off of each other and deliver each of their lines with understated, comedic precision.
Curtis confronts Drew in his hospital room.
Curtis did not come to play when visiting Drew (Cameron Mathison) in the hospital. It doesn’t appear that he’s actually the one who shot Drew, but he wanted to make sure Drew knew he just might be the one to finish the job someone else started. Donnell Turner played these scenes cool and controlled and, when checking out Drew’s hanging medicine bags, made it seem that Curtis might snap & step over the edge at any moment.
NOTABLES

This week marked the beginning of the 63rd season of General Hospital. Here's to the longest-running American soap opera and another season of heartfelt moments & entertaining chaos!
QUOTABLES

Kristina, Ava, & Alexis
Kristina: “I just can’t believe that many people want to talk to Ric.” Ava: “It does boggle the mind, but they do.” - Kristina & Ava were surprised by how many voicemails & text messages Ric had on his phone
Kristina: “Okay, that was almost too easy.” Ava: “Yeah, well, sedating him certainly helps.” - Kristina & Ava after they gave Ric sleeping pills to get the code to his phone
Kristina: “666666. Think you can remember that?” Ava: “I’ll do my best.” - Kristina telling Ava the new code to Ric’s phone
Alexis: “Why did you have to clock him over the head like that?” Ava: “Come on, Alexis. Haven’t we moved past that? It was your idea to put him in the basement.” — Referring to their predicament about Ric
“I see the light bulb going off over your horns.” - Alexis to Ava, who had an idea about how to deal with Elizabeth and Willow
Britt and Jason
Britt: “Have you diffused a bomb before?” Jason: “Uh, yeah, a few times.”Britt: “Are you sure you can handle this?” Jason: “If I can’t, we’ll both find out at the same time.” Britt: “I’m not comfortable with you having a sense of humor right now.”
“Uh, Jason. That was very brave. But can you, can you get off me now?” — Britt to Jason after he shielded her from the explosion
“Maybe you should try to reboot yourself.” — Britt, after saying she wasn’t sure if Jason was human
“Well, because from my experience, it’s not real easy to jump back into life after being dead.” - Jason offering to help Britt get her life in Port Charles started again.
About Britt
“Oh, this is just like New Year’s Eve.” — Pascal to Britt about the countdown to her blowing up
“The Britch is back!” — Elizabeth telling Lucas Britt was alive & at the hospital
“Britt Westbourne is dead. There was a funeral and everything.” Lucas to Elizabeth (apparently forgetting he lives in Port Charles — home to many formerly unalived citizens)
Carly
“I saw your super spy boyfriend earlier, and he was way out of line.” — Lulu to Carly about Jack Brennan
“Carly threatens to kill a lot of people when she’s mad.” - Lucas responds to Elizabeth when she tells him about overhearing Carly’s threat to Drew
Willow: “Carly. Please, Drew nearly died.” Carly: “But he didn’t. And, look, I don’t want to watch this love fest any longer than I have to…”
“You can always go back to all Drew all the time.” - Carly talking to Drew about Scout
Misc.
“His brain is in a jar!” - Brennan to Valentin, who almost made it sound like Faison could be alive
Jason: “And we have a lot to talk about later.” Vaughn: “Interesting guy. Does he always act like your dad?” Josslyn: “Pretty much, but his timing is always spot on.”
“Since Judge Heran is dead, I’m assuming the [custody] hearing is delayed.” - Willow to Elizabeth
“This is starting to sound a whole lot like couples therapy.” - Martin responding to Anna’s questioning of Curtis and Drew’s failed friendship
“Good luck, Creepy” - Gio to Emma as she was about to approach Dalton with a piece of his favorite cheesecake
FASHION

Trina’s White Cropped Tweed Puff Sleeve Top by Endless Rose—This top feels like a nod to Chanel. The tweed and decorative vintage-looking buttons make it classic, but the crop makes it youthful, and the puffed sleeves are not overwhelming. And, wearing her hair in a high bun made for the perfect look!
Emma’s Stretch Ribbed Knit Off-Shoulder Top in Lime by Good American - Cute & casual with a unique neckline
Ava’s Polka Dots Georgette Blouse by Lilysilk - I love a good polka dot. It’s the details of the blouse, though…the sheer silk, collar, ruffled placket, covered buttons, loose pleating in the back, and bow sleeves that really take it to the next level.

Jacinda’s Darius Dress Bodycon Midi Dress in Emerald by Diane von Furstenberg - I adore emerald green and adore DVF even more. Natalia (Eva LaRue) wore this dress before, and the fit is amazing on both of them.
Josslyn’s V Neck Jewel Maxi Dress with Spaghetti Straps - Great beach and summer dress; highlights the decolletage and back beautifully, and the jewels add a nice something, something
Britt’s Davina Ponte Dress in Grape Purple by Hobbs - Nice color and flattering silhouette
MUSINGS

Britt and Jason’s plane ride back felt like a bad couples therapy session.
I realize Valentin loves his Ma Petite, but if I were Lulu, I think I’d want to burn the Cassadine limbs off of Charlotte’s (Bluesy Burke) family tree. And, I’m not sure what level of unhinged I’d be about Britt and Liesl’s odd sense of entitlement to be a part of Rocco’s life.
Jacinda (Paige Herschell) is growing on me. She went for some Scrabble points when she used the word assignation.
Someone needs to remind Trina (Tabyana Ali) that loose lips sink ships. Now, both Kai and Emma know about her mom altering Heather Webber’s test results. Who’s she going to tell next?!
Britt’s grudge against all things Carly is exhausting.
Will they find Outback before she ends up being a part of Dalton’s research?
Jason makes too many super swear pinky promises to people.
Does the WSB have a friends and family division? I think they should go ahead and have Carly and Jason join the WSB so they can all be one big happy super spy group.
