In disbelief, Sasha stood in Maxie's bathroom, staring at her positive pregnancy test. She couldn't believe it just took one time, considering she hadn't been with anyone since Brando died over two years ago. "I don't know if I can do this," she said. Maxie assured Sasha that she had a support system that would be there for her.
In the living room, James was surprised to see a blonde woman in scrubs and a hoodie walk through the front door. Lulu was just as surprised to see James. He asked her who she was, and she responded with the same question. "Who are you and what are you doing in my house?" she asked.
"This isn't your house. This is my house," James said. Lulu and James continued arguing about who lived there until James finally yelled, "Mom! Stranger danger."
Maxie and Sasha emerged from the bathroom carrying baseball bats, but by then, Lulu was gone, and James was sitting on the couch eating cookies. Maxie chastised James for crying wolf, but James insisted that a strange lady was in the living room. When Maxie checked the door, she was surprised to see it was no longer locked.

Maxie walked outside and found the key under the frog statue was missing. James insisted he didn't take it. After Sasha left, Maxie and Spinelli asked James for more details about their mystery guest. Spinelli said he could solve the mystery via an app connected to cameras he had installed by the front door. When Spinelli played the app, they saw Lulu outside but could not see her face due to the hoodie she was wearing.
As Maxie and Spinelli contemplated calling the cops, James went through old photo albums and announced the mystery lady was in one of the pictures. He showed a shocked Maxie a picture of Lulu.
Lucky was furious to learn that Cyrus had been spending time at Turning Wood visiting Lulu. The administrator said he thought Cyrus was authorized to act on behalf of the family. "Like hell he does," Lucky said. Elizabeth tried to calm Lucky down and be reasonable. As Lucky demanded to see Turning Wood's security footage, an orderly called Cyrus to let him know Lulu had vanished.
When the administrator said looking at the security footage would have to wait till morning, Lucky threatened to call the police. Elizabeth finally got Lucky to leave, but they headed straight to the Port Charles Grille to confront Cyrus. He claimed he had no clue as to Lulu's whereabouts. Lucky informed Cyrus he wouldn't be allowed to visit Lulu again, which annoyed Cyrus. He threw it in Lucky's face that he wasn't around enough to decide who counted as family.
"Spend more than a month with your own child, and then we'll discuss family," Cyrus said. After Cyrus left, Lucky received the Turning Wood security footage on his phone. Lucky and Elizabeth couldn't believe their eyes as they watched Lulu wander the facility.
Lois and Olivia were excited to learn that Gio would play the National Anthem at the PCU-Llanview football game. Soon, Chase and Brook Lynn walked in but quickly ran up the stairs, ostensibly to finish a movie. Olivia reminded Lois that she would soon become a grandmother.
Olivia changed the subject to Dante and the kids. Lois was reminded of how unpredictable life could be. In the bedroom, Brook Lynn and Chase worked on their baby-making project. When Chase said he was excited that they were having a child together for the first time, Brook Lynn got an ominous look on her face.
Outside, Gio was practicing his violin playing when Lulu approached. Gio told Lulu he lived on the Q estate, which surprised her. When Gio mentioned Lois, Lulu was shocked to hear she was in Port Charles. "I thought she lived in Bensonhurst. When did she get here?" Gio told her Lois had been there since last year.
Lulu was unnerved to hear this news and excused herself before walking away. She made her way into the Quartermaine living room. Rocco walked in soon after, stunned to see his mother standing there. Lulu was just as stunned to see her son was now a teenager.
In the courtroom, a hysterical Kristina continued to insist that she wasn't responsible for the baby's death. Ric didn't care and continued with his questioning, asking Kristina if protecting Sonny meant more to her than protecting Molly's child. "She was my child," Kristina insisted as Molly looked on in horror.
Ric didn't let up. "You are the reason that Irene Davis Ashford is dead," he said. Alexis stood up and asked her ex-husband to stop. "That's enough, Ric. Leave her alone," Alexis demanded. The judge called the courtroom to order as Alexis gave a lawyerly argument on why Ric was badgering the witness. Alexis was told she had no authority in this case.
The judge motioned to the bailiff to arrest Alexis if she didn't sit down, so Sonny stood up and escorted Alexis out so she wouldn't end up behind bars. Ric excused Kristina from the stand, and the judge called for a recess. Ava argued with Ric that he made Kristina look sympathetic. He felt the jury saw that Kristina was volatile and reckless.
Dante took Kristina in his arms as she cried, saying she had blown it. Meanwhile, Molly worried Kristina would never forgive herself if her testimony led to Ava's acquittal. Molly told Kristina that Alexis would drive her home, but Kristina said she wasn't going anywhere.
After the recess, Ric called Natalia to the stand and asked about her car accident. He played the 911 call that showed Natalia discovering Kristina as the other driver. Ric asked Natalia to describe Kristina's emotional state. Natalia said that Kristina was shaken but rational. When Ric asked who caused the accident, Natalia said that she did.
Natalia lied by claiming she had read a text and drifted into oncoming traffic. She said Blaze had texted her, and she felt she had to respond. Natalia didn't want emergency services because everyone was fine.
Ric called Molly to the stand next. He asked Molly about Kristina's reaction when Kristina received Ava's subpoena. Molly said Kristina planned to refuse to comply because she didn't want to implicate Sonny in something illegal. "She said she planned to get Ava to drop the subpoena. She didn't specifically say she was going to confront her," Molly said of her sister. Ric got Molly to say that Kristina sought out Ava and confronted her while 38 weeks pregnant so she could protect her father.
When Ava took the stand, she reiterated how Kristina has always been very protective of Sonny. Ava said that Kristina didn't ask her to lift the subpoena. Instead, she demanded it, but Ava refused. Ava told the jury that an angry Kristina threatened to bring up "alleged" bad deeds Ava had committed in the past.
"I was upset, naturally, but I didn't wish Kristina or her baby any harm," Ava insisted. Ava admitted that she had grabbed Kristina's shoulder when Kristina pushed past her. "Kristina pulled away from me. She lost her balance, and she tripped. She fell against the window, and she crashed through it. It was horrific," Ava explained.
Ava said she quickly closed the curtains and noticed Kristina tripped over John Cates' duffle bag. "I moved the bag to the other room and placed a pair of shoes near the window," Ava said. When Ric asked if Ava had any intention to harm Kristina or the baby, Ava answered earnestly, "I would never do anything to harm a child. My own daughter was brutally murdered, and I'd never wish the pain of losing a child on anybody."
Finally, Ric asked if Ava had any regrets about the day Kristina fell. "I regret that Kristina and I felt that we had to protect our families. I regret that our differences weren't addressed in a courtroom. And I deeply regret that an innocent baby lost her life before she even had a chance to live it. But I know that it was a tragic accident," Ava said.
Both lawyers then gave their closing arguments. The prosecutor claimed an angry Ava purposely pushed Kristina while Ric argued that the fall was nothing more than an accident.
