Robert walked into Diane’s office. “He resurfaces at last,” she quipped. Robert said there had been a lot going on. Diane told him she was all ears.
Robert apologized for dropping out the way he did but said he had much to process. Diane told him that she liked him a lot but reminded him that she had told him all or nothing at the start of their courtship. Diane said she didn’t regret anything, but love wasn’t a contract. Diane told Robert that despite his best efforts, he was still in breach of their agreement. “You love Holly Sutton, not me. You can’t stop. You couldn’t even if you tried — and you shouldn’t have to,” Diane said.
Robert assured Diane that he loved her, but she said it was different than how he felt for Holly. “I don’t want to spend one moment, one second, as someone’s consolation prize,” Diane said. She advised Robert to find Holly and make it work because he deserved happiness. “Go find her, and don’t let her get away,” Diane told him. After Robert left, Diane sat on her desk and cried.
Holly went to Anna’s office and asked to be heard out. “I spent the entirety of my day cleaning up your mess,” Anna snapped. Holly explained that she needed help but couldn’t go to Robert or Sasha because she was about to disappear on both of them.

Holly showed Anna the diamond and said she had to take care of it. Anna warned that Sidwell would be coming after her. Holly said she needed to cash in the diamond to play a high-stakes poker game. Holly admitted she had a huge debt owed to a criminal syndicate, and her life was on the line. Holly said that if she didn’t pay it, she, Robert, and Sasha would die.
Holly explained that she only got into trouble with the syndicate because she had been freelancing for the WSB. Anna began to call Brennan, but Holly stopped her. Holly said she had just come from his office, and they didn’t feel liable given the circumstances. Holly had hoped Brennan would advocate for her, but the best he could offer was a ride out of town so she could disappear.
Anna wondered if that was why Holly linked up with Sidwell. Holly said Sidwell was going to be her biggest score ever. She had planned to use the money to pay off her debt, take care of Sasha and Ethan, and then retire in Europe. Holly said she was there to ask Anna to take care of Robert.
Anna understood Holly’s concern for Robert but thought she should focus on her safety. Anna offered to talk to Brennan about getting protection. Holly said that Brennan was putting her on a one-way flight to Lisbon. Anna thought she would be safer in Port Charles, but Holly thought she’d be bringing more danger to Sasha. “I ruined her life several times over,” Holly added. Anna implored Holly to go to Robert and tell him everything. “If you can’t do that, then just tell him goodbye. I think you owe him that,” Anna added.
Laura asked Lucky to meet her at the hospital. When he arrived, she explained that Dr. Robinson had agreed to update them about Lulu.
Portia reported that so far, Lulu’s recovery had been a success. Laura was concerned that she was on so many medications since that was what caused the coma to begin with. Portia assured her it was safe and noted that Lulu would be transferred in a couple of weeks to a long-term care facility. Lucky thanked Portia for letting Isaiah operate.
Outside of Portia’s office, Laura told Lucky that she didn’t want to send Lulu anywhere. “I want to keep her here with me,” Laura said.
At The Surf Lodge, Trina accidentally crashed into a guy and spilled two drinks on him, but his face lit up when he saw her smile. Trina apologized and tried to clean him up. He clarified it was his fault but promised to see her next time. Trina ran off to her table and sat with Joss.
Kai Taylor, PCU’s new star quarterback. I know that name, Trina said as she looked over to see him talking to his friend.
Trina went over to Kai’s table and interrupted his conversation. He asked if they had met officially. “If you had bothered to show up to a single one of our Art History classes or replied to a single one of my project emails, then we would have met, but you decided to leave me hanging on our assigned project. Guess what? That affected my grade, so now we have a problem,” Trina snapped. Kai sighed.
Kai explained that he had a tutor who took care of all of his academic stuff, and he didn’t know what classes he was taking. Trina was not impressed that he had someone else do his work, yet he got the credit. “You get to pass a class just for throwing a football around?” Trina seethed. Kai’s friend noted that Kai was going to the NFL. “Yeah, I’ve heard,” Trina scoffed. She told him there was a project with his name on it, and he was responsible for his part. “Kai doesn’t have time for some art class,” his friend told her. “Yeah, I can see that,” Trina said, and she went back to her table.
Trina ranted to Joss that Kai didn't care about his classes. Joss tried to explain how football was his full-time job. Trina said she was trying to keep a GPA and wouldn’t let him impact that. She said she’d ask the T.A. for a replacement. Meanwhile, Kai called his tutor for access to his school email and he wanted to know what classes he was in. Kai's friend said not to worry about some girl, but Kai didn’t like that he was messing up her grade and wanted to figure something out to make it right.
Elizabeth met Jason at The Brown Dog and wanted to check on how he was doing. Jason said that there had been a lot of distractions since Sam died, but when he stopped to catch his breath, it still didn’t seem real. Jason worried about separating Scout, Danny, and Rocco. Liz agreed that Sam would want them together, but Jason said it wasn’t up to him. Liz suggested that Jason move into the Quartermaine mansion to keep everyone together.
After Jason left, Lucky arrived and asked if he could join Liz. She said she would be mad if he didn’t. Liz said she’d heard that Lulu was recovering really well. They were both still trying to come to terms with how saving Lulu cost Sam her life. “I thought I could fly in and save the day, but it turns out the real heroes were here all along,” Lucky mused.
Lucky admitted that he was heading back to Africa. “I’m sorry, Elizabeth. I can’t stay here in Port Charles,” he said somberly. Elizabeth was upset. Lucky didn’t know what good he was to Aiden and noted that he hadn’t been his father for most of his life. “And now is your chance,” Liz said. Lucky admitted it was never his intention to stay. Liz told Lucky that Sam was one of the heroes he spoke about, and she was leaving behind broken-hearted children because she saved Lucky’s sister. “Do you realize what Sam would give to have one more day, one more hour with her babies?” Liz said. She said if he did, he wouldn’t be asking for her blessing so he could abandon his son again. Elizabeth said he would get nothing from her, and leaving Port Charles would be all on him. “And God forbid you pick that loving boy over your next great adventure,” Elizabeth told him before leaving.
Danny told Jason it didn’t feel like home at the Quartermaine's. He said that he and Scout had spent a lot of time there, but Sam always picked them up and took them home. Now, Danny wasn’t sure where home was anymore without his mom.
Jason noted that Danny was probably wondering where he was going to live, but Danny was pretty sure he already knew. He explained that Roco had overheard Alexis and Dante talking and knew she wanted him and Scout to live with her, but Danny wanted to stay with Rocco. “If we can’t stay together, do you think I could come live with you?” Danny asked.
Jason said there was a lot to take into account, and Danny agreed that Scout needed him. Jason said not to worry; he would talk to everyone and they would do right by the kids no matter what. “No matter where we live, you’ve got me. I’m not leaving,” Jason promised.
Holly went to Robert’s office and sat at his desk. She fondly touched the chair and desk, then took out a piece of paper to write a note. ”My darling Robert,” she wrote, “I hate to say goodbye again, but I must. I love you always, Holly.” She took the paper and kissed it.
Anna met Diane at The Brown Dog, too. Diane asked if Robert was someone she could ever get over. “Robert Scorpio leaves an indelible impact on you, but your life will go on,” Anna said assuredly.
Anna acknowledged that Holly and Robert’s bond was quite unique. She said she was living proof that life would go on without Robert. Diane told Anna what had happened at the office with Robert and how she had beaten him to the punch to break it off. Anna said she might want to rethink that as Holly was leaving town that night.
Holly called Sasha from the tarmac and left her a message saying she was leaving town. She encouraged Sasha to get to know Robert and reminded her she had a big family now who would take care of her. Holly apologized for being unable to take care of Sasha and said she was leaving to keep her safe. She hoped Sasha would forgive her. “Don’t forget that I love you. Til we meet again,” Holly said.
The pilot told Holly that everyone was on board and they were cleared for takeoff. Holly tried calling Robert one more time before boarding. This time, Robert answered, and she quickly asked if he’d gotten her note. Robert had read it and asked if she would really leave town without seeing him first. Holly swore she didn’t mean to leave him. “In that case, turn around,” Robert said. Holly gasped when she saw Robert behind her.
Robert said that Brennan told him where to find her. Holly thanked Robert for coming to say goodbye and not holding it against her, but Robert said, “No.” “No? You do hold it against me?” Holly asked. “I didn’t come to say goodbye. I’m coming with you,” Robert said. Holly told Robert that she was in trouble. “What else is new?” Robert asked with a laugh. He said they had missed out on too much time, and they had a plane to catch. “And I promise you and Sasha that this will be a round-trip ticket,” Robert said. He picked up her bag, and they walked together towards the plane.
Laura visited Lulu and told her how she was not giving up on her. She recalled how Lulu ran before she could walk, and that didn’t stop when she grew up. “But Lulu, you have been sleeping for a long time now, and we have a debt today. Lulu, Sam is gone. She died right after the surgery,” Laura told her daughter. She compared Lulu and Sam and said that a part of her lives on inside of Lulu. “We have so much to be grateful to Sam for, so we can’t let her gift be given in vain. You must wake up now. You come back to me!” Laura ordered.
On the next General Hospital:
Gio asks Chase, “How’s it going, bro?” “You knew?!” Sasha says.
Curtis tells Portia that Drew is going to make him the permanent CEO.
“I couldn’t agree with anything more,” Alexis says to Kristina.
Michael tells Jason, “I’m afraid she’s going to say there’s no future for us.”
Maxie asks Nina if she’s told Willow yet that she slept with Drew.
“You know me, you always do,” Drew says to Willow.
“Does that mean you’re using me now?” Carly asks Brennan.
