As Sonny lay on his living room floor in pain, Ava stood over him taunting him. "What is it, Sonny? What's wrong? Should I call 911?" she asked in a phony sweet voice. She then grew angry. "Isn't it awful to be in need when no one will help you? It's terrible, isn't it? Knowing that someone could act and do one little thing, but instead, they stand there enjoying your pain," she added.

Kristina was horrified when she walked into the room to find Sonny on the floor, reaching for his pill bottle. Ava made excuses for herself and claimed she was going to help Sonny, but Kristina didn't want to hear it. She quickly gave Sonny his medication and told Ava to leave.

Ava did just that as Kristina tried to call an ambulance. Sonny stopped her because he didn't want anyone to know what happened. He told Kristina that he let Ava get to him and went after her when he should have known better. "And Ava just stood there the whole time?" Kristina asked. Sonny nodded just as Isaiah arrived to examine him.

Isaiah assessed that Sonny didn't need the hospital, but Kristina was still worried. After Kristina left, Isaiah told Sonny the surgery couldn't take much longer, so he was going to schedule it right away. Sonny asked him not to. He was willing to have the surgery sooner, but only if he solved his security issues first.

As Isaiah opened the door to leave, he found Laura standing there. Laura immediately saw that something was wrong, so Sonny told her the truth — he had a heart condition. Sonny gave Laura the details but swore the surgery had to wait. Sonny blamed himself for what happened and admitted he couldn't control his anger with Ava.

As for Kristina, she went straight to the cemetery and told the baby she called Adela all about what just happened with Sonny. "By not helping him, she was killing him just like she killed you," Kristina reasoned, referring to Ava. Kristina continued her rant until she decided that she had to hold Ava accountable for what she had done. She concluded that Ava was a threat. "I have to stop her," Kristina finally declared.

Before her visit with Sonny, Laura and Jordan sat down for a meal at the Port Charles Grille, where they discussed Councilman Ezra Boyle. Laura lamented that Boyle never shied away from cameras but worried that Drew would not be happy with the coverage of the hospital event.

Right on cue, Boyle walked in and sat down with the mayor and deputy mayor. He wanted to talk about the delays in the esplanade project. He wanted to sidestep the environmental impact report, but Laura wouldn't hear of it. Boyle wanted the project moved to Pier 55, which Laura and Jordan claimed was not a viable option.

Boyle implied that Laura's friendship with Sonny was the reason the esplanade was not moved. "I am advising you to reconsider your position rather than ignore all the family ties to the local crime lord," he said. Laura explained that she wasn't worried because she had nothing to hide.

Laura left, but Jordan chose to stay behind and talk to Boyle alone. She warned him that "any attempt to smear Laura will blow up in your face." Boyle warned Jordan that Laura's friendship with Sonny could come back to bite her.

Jordan's next stop was Curtis' office, where she thanked him for the flattering photos and coverage of the sports initiative. "Who wouldn't rather look at pictures of you and Portia instead of some crooked competition?" Curtis said. Jordan was also impressed that Curtis used the name "Cain."

They didn't notice Ric and Ava walk in and sit down at a table. Ava couldn't wait to tell Ric all about her visit with Sonny. "While I was there, Sonny collapsed at my feet," Ava said. Ric was stunned. "You heard me. There's something wrong with Sonny," she added.

As Sonny's brother, Ric was able to learn that Sonny hadn't been admitted to the hospital. Ava described the scene with Sonny, but stressed that she had planned to help him before Kristina started screeching at her. Ava was sure something was seriously wrong and they could use that knowledge as leverage over Sonny.

Brook Lynn and Lulu continued their argument in the Deception office, with Brook Lynn accusing Lulu of feeling "resentful and threatened" over Brook Lynn's past relationship with Dante. "You thought that you and Dante told each other everything. Turns out Dante has some past secrets of his own. He kept our past a secret from you, and you can't stand it," Brook Lynn said.

Lulu claimed the thing that was really making her angry was that she now had to lie for Brook Lynn. "Every time Dante looks at me and tells me how happy he is that I have Charlotte back, I choke on the knowledge that he has a son he knows nothing about," Lulu admitted.

When Emma and Gio arrived, Lulu left, grateful that Brook Lynn was not her boss anymore. They told Brook Lynn their plan to save the crypt and asked her to propose it to the Q fam. They were surprised when Brook Lynn refused and told them that they shouldn't pursue their idea.

Brook Lynn was afraid they would get too involved with the never-ending Drew and Tracy fight. "You two aren't hardcore Qs. You can walk away. Do it. Walk away while you still can," she advised. In the end, she agreed to talk to Ned about Emma and Gio's idea. Outside Brook Lynn's office, Gio and Emma decided they should talk to Monica about the property before anyone else.

Cody was surprised to hear screams coming from the Q boathouse. When he opened the door, he saw Lulu standing there beating up a floatie with a plastic bat. Lulu claimed she was there to see Rocco but needed to blow off some steam first. She told Cody that she was angry that she never knew Brook Lynn and Dante had a relationship.

Cody didn't think it was such a big deal because nothing ever came of it. Lulu pointed out that something major came from it. Brook Lynn admitted she was angry that Dante lied to her when he said he'd never had feelings for Brook Lynn.

Before his visit from Jordan, Curtis met with Tracy and Stella in the Q solarium. Stella felt that Curtis and Tracy should get to know one another due to their common cause. Just then, Tracy received a phone call informing her that Drew was there. She let him in with glee. As soon as Drew walked in and saw Curtis, he declared, "Of course! You've teamed up with Tracy."

True to form, Drew had a bone to pick with Curtis for calling him Drew Cain in the Aurora article, rather than Drew Quartermaine. Tracy claimed that was his name, but Drew countered that the cease and desist would never hold up in a court of law. Curtis claimed that it was valid when the article was printed, so he was free to print the name Cain.

Curtis pointed out that the program was getting good press. "Isn't that what this is all about and not your ego, Congressman Cain?" Curtis asked as Tracy watched on with a smirk on her face.

"Ditch the halo, Curtis, you want to get ugly? You got it," Drew said before walking out. Once he was gone, the ladies and Curtis toasted their teacups to a beautiful friendship. When the ladies were alone, all they could do was laugh about Drew's visit.

As for Drew, he ended up at the Port Charles Grille with Boyle. Drew had some demands for Boyle. He wanted him to use his public works connections to bulldoze his family crypt ASAP.
