Laura opened her front door to find Lulu in her living room. Laura was so shocked to see how well her daughter looked that both her purse and her jaw dropped to the floor. Mother and daughter shared a warm embrace. Lulu said she could feel Laura's presence when she visited during her comatose years.

Laura worried that Lulu would become overwhelmed learning all the things she missed over the last four years. For now, Laura was just happy that Lulu was safe. Lulu wondered if that was true and told Laura about Cyrus talking to her doctors about moving her to South Carolina. Laura assured Lulu that she'd get a restraining order against Cyrus so that he would never bother Lulu again.

Lulu was curious as to how Cyrus was her uncle, so Laura explained that he was her half-brother, but she wanted nothing to do with him. Lulu then described what it was like to see that Rocco had grown into a teenager. Lulu was also anxious to see her daughter and asked Laura to call Valentin and let her know she was awake so she could talk to Charlotte.

Before Laura got a chance to give Lulu the bad news about Charlotte, Kevin walked in and reunited with his stepdaughter. When Laura asked where Ace was, Kevin said he was with the nanny. He then left the room, prompting Lulu to ask who Ace was. Laura explained to Lulu that she had a new nephew via Nikolas. Laura then confessed that Spencer had died.

Lulu was sad that her nephew was dead but still wanted to talk to Charlotte. Laura was finally forced to tell her that Valentin skipped town with Charlotte in July. Laura assured Lulu that she had reached out to Anna for help. Learning Anna and Valentin were involved was just one more shock for Lulu during her very eye-opening evening. Laura didn't mention that Anna shot Charlotte last Halloween.

When Lulu got up to start searching for Charlotte on her own, she seemed unsteady on her feet, so Laura insisted on taking her to GH.

When Jason got to Anna's apartment, she was frantic and reiterated that they had to find Valentin right away to bring Charlotte home for Lulu. Anna blamed herself for Valentin escaping.

"Lulu's daughter is missing because of me and I would have burned down the world to find Robin when she was missing and now I have put Lulu in the same position," Anna insisted. Jason said he was just as much to blame as Anna.

Jason reasoned with Anna, telling her she needed to get past her guilt so they could think clearly about what they would do next. "I'm all in. We are going to find Charlotte together," he said. Jason planned to give Valentin an incentive to bring Charlotte home.

Dante arrived at the Quartermaine stables with a six-pack of beer. He needed to talk to a friend, and Cody was ready to listen. Dante said he wanted to drink to Lulu, surprising Cody with the news that she was awake. Dante explained that Lulu woke, escaped Turning Woods, and hitchhiked back to Port Charles.

Cody's ears perked up when Dante said hitchhike. "I picked up a hitchhiker tonight. A petite girl wearing a hoodie. I could have sworn there was something familiar about her," Cody said. Cody asked how Dante was handling this turn of events. "She was asleep for so long, but now she is awake and talking. Honestly, it feels like some kind of a miracle," Dante admitted.

Dante described the situation the best he could. "I think I'm in shock right now because Lulu's alive, and Sam is gone," he said. Cody understood that "one doesn't replace the other."

Suddenly, Brook Lynn walked in and chastised Cody for not answering the phone when Tracy called. Brook Lynn ranted about Tracy worrying about a horse until Dante shocked her with the news about Lulu.

After Brook Lynn left, Cody wondered why she wasn't happier about Lulu. Dante told him that years ago, Brook Lynn had tried to break Lulu and him up. "You mean all those years after camp, Brook Lynn wanted you back?" Cody asked. Dante clarified that Carly had paid Brook Lynn to try to seduce Dante.

Ric joined Ava at the Port Charles Grille bar, where she was enjoying a signature martini. A joyful Ava offered to buy Ric a drink, but Ric informed her that she might want to let him pay for his own alcohol. Ava thought she might be missing something cause she believed the case went well.

Ric wasn't so sure. "I took a calculated risk. The jury may decide that Kristina is the unstable, out-of-control liar that I made her out to be, or they might just decide they want to go after the ruthless defense attorney who made a devastated, grieving mother cry," Ric said.

Ava wanted to know what happened to Ric's optimism. Ric shrugged it off and asked Ava to ignore his pessimism for the moment. Ava tried to make him feel better by reminding Ric that her testimony went just as they'd rehearsed. Ava assured Ric that he convinced Molly that Kristina's fall was an accident, just as he had wanted.

Ric surprised Ava by telling her that Alexis might be their fail-safe with the case. Ric believed her outburst could be grounds for an appeal or mistrial. "I never thought I'd be grateful for that woman's big mouth," Ava laughed.

The subject then turned to Nina's warnings. "She said you were a user, but I defended you," Ava admitted. Ric then told Ava that he believed she was innocent.

When Molly stopped by Alexis' place, her mother gave her an update on Kristina. Alexis told Molly that Kristina believed Ava would be convicted, which surprised Molly. "We must have been in two different courtrooms. There's no way that jury is convicting Ava," Molly said.

Alexis asked Molly what happened after she was ejected from the courtroom. "The defense Dad presented was masterful," Molly said. When Alexis asked if Ric had convinced a jury that Ava was innocent, Molly added, "Yeah, I do. Cause he convinced me."

The lawyer in Molly assessed that the prosecutor could do the best she could with the evidence she had. If a baby hadn't died, the case would not have even been brought to trial. Molly admitted she wasn't in the courtroom for justice. "I was blinded by revenge," she said.

Molly continued: "I have accepted that Kristina's fall was an accident. If Kristina wants to spend her life blaming Ava, she's going to have to do it alone. I just can't anymore." Molly wanted to turn the page. Molly then told Alexis all about her break with TJ. "I think the best thing to do right now is to let him go," Molly cried.

Jordan met with Curtis at his office at his behest. Curtis confided in Jordan that Michael was right: Drew does indeed plan to give Michael the Aurora CEO spot and screw over Curtis. Curtis didn't think he was entitled to the CEO job, he just didn't like that Drew was going behind his back.

Jordan was bewildered by Drew's actions. Curtis decided there was no need for him to protect Drew anymore, so he told Jordan that Drew and Willow had gotten a little too close for comfort. He explained that Drew was trying to make things up to Michael by leaving Curtis out in the cold.

"Collateral damage. Underappreciated and undervalued," Jordan declared. She also believed that something was going on between Drew and Nina. Curtis said he believed there was merit to that belief, shocking Jordan some more. Curtis described the situation as "Quartermaines playing Quartermaine games." Jordan decided that Curtis had to play both Drew and Michael in order to win.

Just then, TJ walked in and was surprised to see his mother. TJ told them he needed a place to stay because he and Molly were on a break. He sat down with Jordan and Curtis and explained what happened between him and Molly after Ava's day in court. TJ felt bad for wanting Molly to grieve the same way he did, but Curtis pointed out that the way people grieve is personal.

TJ wished he had never gone to court but wanted to support Molly. However, he now believed that Kristina's reckless decision resulted in Irene's death. He didn't agree with Molly that what happened was a tragic accident. Ultimately, TJ didn't hold out much hope for him and Molly. "We say we're taking a break, but honestly, this feels like a separation."
