At the hospital, Carly and Sonny were stunned when Willow announced she would be making all of Michael's medical care decisions. Portia offered to update everyone on Michael's status, but Willow insisted Portia talk directly to her.
Carly asked Willow why she would try to keep her away from Michael. Nina tried to shut down the whole talk and told Willow this was a bad approach. Drew insisted Willow was doing the right thing. Willow went along with anything Drew said.
"Okay, cards on the table. What do you want?" Sonny asked Willow. Before Willow could utter a word, Drew spoke for her. "Give Willow her kids back. You return them, then, of course, you have access to Michael," Drew said without a hint of awareness of how cruel and crooked that was.
After the doctors walked away, Carly approached Willow and Drew and told them she couldn't believe they were resorting to blackmail. "You're the ones who made it ugly by taking Willow's kids," Drew said. Willow then wondered if she was taking things too far. Drew assured her that she wasn't.

Carly couldn't stop shouting and couldn't believe that Drew kept using "we" as if he and Willow were a team. Nina pulled Sonny aside to talk, much to Carly's consternation. "Willow, if the situation were reversed, Michael would never do this to you," Carly pointed out.
Drew kept interjecting before Willow finally told him to go away so she could hear Carly out. "I am telling you sincerely, you do not want to go down this road. People are going to get hurt," Carly warned. Willow wanted to think about the situation more, but Drew stepped in again and told Willow that Carly was trying to emotionally manipulate her.
Carly saw exactly what was happening and gave Willow a warning. "Drew is the one pushing this to the point of no return so you have no one to turn to but him," Carly said. Just then, Sonny approached them with a compromise.
"Wiley and Amelia are going to go to Nina's and the only reason we are doing this is because we have to focus on our son and you need to focus on your children," Sonny told Willow. In return, Willow was to make sure that Carly and Sonny knew everything that was going on with Michael's medical care. After Carly and Sonny walked away, Willow flew into Drew's arms while a disappointed Nina looked on.
Nina took Sonny to a quiet area and appealed to Sonny's affection for Wiley and Amelia. "These children don't even know what their father is up against right now. They don't know when he'll be home...Someone is going to have to explain it to them and they are going to need the one parent that they have right now," Nina said.
Nina begged Sonny to give Willow back her children so they would have their mother. Then, Carly and Sonny could focus on Michael getting better so he could be a father to Wiley and Amelia. "Don't waste precious time on this silly fight," Nina said.
When an alarm started ringing from the machines in Michael's room, the nurses called for Dr. Gannon. Lucas and Isaiah came running and found that Michael was going into cardiac arrest.
They also noticed the lidocaine drip wasn't working. When Isaiah asked for a specific medication, Lucas noted that it was one that would counteract Digitalis. Isaiah was convinced that was what was causing Michael's heart troubles. Within minutes of giving Michael the new medication, his heart stabilized.
Isaiah informed Sonny and Carly that Michael's heart nearly stopped. He then told Portia that a killer was on the loose at GH.
Laura was relieved when Lulu walked into her office fresh off her failed mission in Prague. Laura asked Lulu how she was feeling, so Lulu asked the same. When Laura admitted she felt relieved, Lulu said that was how she felt when she hugged Charlotte but that she lost her chance to bring Charlotte home, thanks to Dante.
Lulu couldn't stop talking about her brief moments with Charlotte and how grown up she'd looked. Lulu admitted she never should have put Rocco in the position of keeping her secret, but Lulu had to go to Prague. "When I heard Charlotte's voice, it's like something took over. I didn't even want to give up that phone connection," she said.
However, Lulu was still angry at Dante, who she claimed made her a "liar in Charlotte's eyes." Laura was disappointed that Lulu's plan went haywire, but she still felt that Dante did the right thing by going to Prague. Laura reminded Lulu that her body was still recovering from a transplant and a coma.
Laura offered Lulu a hypothetical scenario and asked her daughter how she would have handled it if Valentin had been shot right in front of Charlotte. Since that didn't happen, Lulu refused to talk about it. Laura still insisted that Lulu ask for help the next time she got a lead on Charlotte.
Lulu told Laura how Dante was angry at her for being reckless when Sam sacrificed her life so that Lulu could live. "Am I wrong to think that Sam wouldn't do the same? She was a mother, too," Lulu said. Laura had to admit that Sam would have done what Lulu did because "mothers would do anything for their children."
Lulu brought the subject back to how bad it was for Charlotte to be living a life on the run with her father. She then asked the ultimate question: "Mom, when were you going to tell me Anna Devane shot my daughter?" Laura claimed she was waiting for the next moment to deliver that news.
Lulu understood it was an accident but thought there was a lesson to be learned. "Maybe good intentions can lead to bad outcomes in ways you never intended," Lulu said. She then told Laura that Dante believed that Lulu led the shooter to Valentin, and I think he's right," she said.
Trina met up with Stella for a yoga class but didn't really want to be there until she saw that Kai was also taking the class. Apparently, Stella and Kai are old friends from the early morning yoga class they had missed.
After the class, Kai and Trina shared a few moments together before Cody walked in. He recognized Kai and engaged him in some football talk. Cody's interest was piqued when Kai mentioned he expected his next game to be closer than people think. Cody walked away in time for Kai to give Trina some news.
"Once the game is over, and especially if we win, I have to decide whether I'm coming back to school," he said. He was considering entering the NFL draft but wasn't sure if that was what he wanted. He enjoyed his college team and wanted a college degree. Kai worried he might risk getting injured before entering the draft his senior year.
Before the yoga class began, Cody had a chat with Tracy in the Quartermaine solarium. Cody informed Tracy that the gates were secure, so Michael's children were protected. Tracy could tell that something else was on Cody's mind, so she got him to spill. He wanted to invest the $50,000 he got from Drew in a crypto company.
Tracy stopped Cody mid-sentence and warned him that if he invested the money in crypto, he'd lose it in a flash. "I have a better use for that 50 grand. Set it on fire. It'll keep you warm for a couple of minutes," she said. Tracy tried giving Cody some financial advice and suggested he play the long game with investments.
Cody told Tracy that he was running out of time. There was an offer for Serenity and he needed the cash to buy it now. Tracy still advised patience, but Cody didn't want to hear it and left the room.
Stella soon arrived to spend some girl time with Tracy. Stella offered to support Tracy as she worried about Michael. Everything that had happened with Drew had Monica so upset that she wouldn't even leave her room.
"I am worried about Monica. She has suffered so much loss in her life. Her husband. Her kids. If we lose Michael, I'm not sure she will ever recover," Tracy said. Tracy was sad to see Monica losing her feistiness. "She is who holds this family together," Tracy added.
Back at GH, Brad approached Lucas in the hospital halls, where Lucas gave his ex an update on Michael. Brad wanted to make sure Wiley was okay, but Lucas wasn't sure how to answer. He told a surprised Brad that Michael and Willow had separated.
After Lucas was called away to Michael's room, Portia found Brad and asked him to do a search for any patient who had a cardiac incident over the last three months. She also wanted her to see if any of them had Digitalis in their system. "I want you to see if there's a pattern somewhere. Something we didn't notice," Portia said. Brad agreed to do what she asked.
Brad was surprised to receive another request when Cody showed up and asked him to connect him with Brad's Aunt Selina. Brad agreed to contact Selina, but only if Cody would give him a cut of his bet — a football game bet.
