Josslyn, Trina, and Gio met up with Dex in Rice Plaza, where they planned to pick out a Christmas tree. The men thought the girls took too long to choose, but Josslyn and Trina said perfection takes time. Gio then mentioned the Quartermaine Christmas party the next night. The girls would be there, but Dex had to work.
When Dex went to get some coffee, he found Cyrus lurking. Dex warned Cyrus to stay away from Lulu. "Of course, I would abide by my sister's wishes," Cyrus said. Dex wasn't sure he could believe him because he remembered seeing Cyrus at GH the night Sam died. Cyrus insisted he was delivering candy to the children's wing and did not visit with Lulu.
Dex was sure he had seen Cyrus on the 10th floor. "Hand to God, I was not there to see Lulu on Halloween," Cryus reiterated.
After his encounter with Cyrus, Dex, Gio, Joss, and Trina returned to the girls' apartment to begin decorating the tree. Josslyn could tell that Dex was preoccupied, but he didn't let on as to why. Josslyn then convinced Dex to return to Rice Plaza with her because she had forgotten something.

Dex finally admitted to Josslyn that the holidays were difficult for him because he remembered his parents always fighting and his dad passed out drunk on the couch. Josslyn promised Dex that they would make their own happy Christmas memories together before they returned to his apartment to have sex.
Back at Rice Plaza, Cyrus remembered walking into Sam's room and injecting Digitalis into her I.V. as she slept.
At another part of the plaza, Lucky ran smack dab into Elizabeth. She was glad to hear how well Lulu was doing. Lucky asked if Aiden was with her, but he was at the mall with friends. Lucky then volunteered to help Elizabeth pick out her Christmas tree.
Lucky remembered how a big tree was Elizabeth's favorite thing about the holidays. He pointed out that the smaller ones she was looking at would not suffice. Lucky would be happy to help her get a big tree into her house. After they found the perfect tree, they watched a guitarist perform and were reminded of their plans to move to New York City when they were teens.
Elizabeth then became nostalgic. "You were the first person to ever truly believe in me. You even got me believing in myself," she said. When they got Liz's new tree home, he noticed all her Christmas decor in boxes and offered to help her set it all up so they could surprise Aiden. When Liz thanked Lucky for his help, he said there was nowhere he'd rather be.
The conversation turned to his family and how hard it was for Lucky to tell Lulu that Luke had died. Elizabeth commented that she was always envious of Lucky's relationship with his father. She hoped to have that same kind of parent-friend relationship with her own kids one day.
Elizabeth was pleased when Lucky casually mentioned that he had decided to stay in Port Charles for the foreseeable. She knew Aiden would be happy to hear the news. Liz said that she was happy for Aiden's sake. She also gave Lucky a surprise — Cameron's old guitar that was collecting dust in his room. Lucky sat down with Liz and played the song he had written for her when they were teens. That led to a flashback moment from the 1990s.
Martin arrived at Laura's office excited to hear how Lulu was doing. Laura was amazed that Lulu seemed to be in perfect health besides the incision needed to heal. Martin said he had heard about a mixup with Cyrus at Turning Woods, but Laura insisted it was not a mixup. "It was a deliberate deception. So, what was he up to?" Laura asked.
Martin was later impressed when he learned that Lulu had escaped Turning Woods after a four-year coma and hitchhiked back to Port Charles. Laura was disturbed that Lulu felt like she was in danger and angry that Turning Woods didn't tell her that Cyrus was volunteering there.
Laura noted that it's been hard for her to get Lulu to rest and relax because she couldn't wait to return to her life. Martin asked if Laura could imagine waking up to learn years had passed. Laura admitted that she could because a similar thing had happened to her. Martin was shocked to hear about Laura's years in a catatonic state.
"When I was finally well enough to go back home, the little girl that I remembered was now a spirited teenager," she said. Laura knew that Lulu was proud of the young man that Rocco had become, but she understood that Lulu would always regret all she had missed.
For the moment, Laura was focused on finding Charlotte and bringing her home for Lulu. Laura blamed herself for Charlotte taking Valentin because she didn't keep a close enough eye on him.
Alexis arrived home to find Molly being pragmatic about Ava's verdict. Alexis was more worried about Molly's state of mind after what Kristina said to her. Alexis understood that Kristina's words had to be hurtful, but Molly wasn't buying her mother's criticism of her sister.
Molly didn't want to involve Alexis in her beef with Kristina, but Alexis insisted she wanted to help. "Please, Molly, I can't lose another daughter," Alexis pleaded.
Molly explained that Alexis wouldn't lose her, but she'd lose Kristina if she sided with Molly. Alexis assured Molly that she was not taking sides. Molly then asked a point-blank question: "Do you think Ava pushed Kristina?"
Alexis answered that she believed the jury had arrived at a fair verdict, but she knew Kristina couldn't accept that yet. Molly wasn't sure that she ever would. Alexis also assured Molly that it was ok to grieve in her own way. Molly said that a huge weight was lifted off her shoulders when her mother said that. Alexis also promised not to push Molly to make up with Kristina.
Sonny brought Kristina back to his restaurant, where she told him what happened at the courthouse shouldn't have happened. Sonny didn't think much of it. "You and Molly are going to be all right once everything settles," he said.
Kristina was perplexed, telling Sonny that she was torn apart about the verdict, not her argument with Molly. Sonny thought Kristina didn't mean what she said, but Kristina admitted that she meant it. "She wasn't Adela's mother. That's a fact. I have zero regrets about what I said," Kristina explained.
Kristina was furious that Molly chose to believe Ava over her. Kristina still insisted that Ava pushed her out that window. Sonny promised Kristina that Ava would pay one way or another. "You let me deal with Ava," Sonny said.
Sonny and Kristina began discussing what Kristina might do next. She wasn't sure she wanted to run the LGBTQ youth center, especially because she was dealing with so much anger. Sonny then had another suggestion. With Phyllis moving back to Nixon Falls, Sonny wanted to gift his daughter Charlie's to both run and own. Kristina promised to think about the offer.
