Liz was grateful to Lucas for checking in on her but noted he was dressed for a night out rather than for work. Lucas was happy to tell her that the man he had met in Miami was moving to Port Charles. Before Lucas could get into too much detail, Ava arrived to talk about the accident.

Elizabeth told Ava that all she remembered was the car swerving. "It was a freak accident. No one else was involved. Why are you asking me all these questions?" Liz asked. Ava said since she and Ric had grown rather close of late, she was just concerned. Liz didn't have much more to tell so Ava left.

Elizabeth was sure that the visit was so Ava could claim Ric as hers. Lucas asked if she was jealous, but Liz said she wasn't. She did admit he had a good side, but also a bad side. "Maybe, just maybe, if he embraced his good side more, I might change my mind about him," Liz mused, but neither she nor Lucas thought that could happen.

However, Liz had a confession to make. "I am not different from Ric. I used him and his feelings for me to find out what was going on between Portia and Brad. And he was definitely putting it together when we crashed," she said.

Lucy soon popped in to talk about...yep, you guessed it, the Nurses' Ball. Lucas immediately tried to make a run for it, telling Lucy he would never do a Magic Milo number again. Liz said her broken leg would prohibit her from dancing, but Lucy wasn't deterred. "I am going to out you both down for a duet," Lucy declared.

Liz still insisted that her accident would prevent her from performing, but Lucas finally agreed to help in any way he could, but he was not getting on stage.

In Ric's room, Molly commented that it was a miracle that the ambulance got there as quickly as they did. That prompted Ric to remember seeing Kristina outside his car before he lost consciousness. Molly noticed a groggy Ric zone out, so she called his name. He told her that he was fine but had just recalled something about the accident.

Ric said what he remembered didn't make much sense, so Molly left it alone. She then walked out of the room to take a call, leaving Alexis with Ric. "So, we finally come to a truce, and you get into a car accident? What's the matter? You'd rather die than be on good terms with me?" Alexis quipped.

After visiting with Liz, Ava's next stop was Ric's room. She told him that she went to see his car and learned someone had cut his brakes. "This was no accident, Ric. Somebody tried to kill you," Ava said.

"Who would want you dead?" Ava wondered. "How much time you got?" Ric joked. It finally hit Ava that Ric was parked in her spot, so she might have been the target. They wondered if it was Sonny, but Ava determined he wouldn't be that sloppy, but Kristina would. "My God! That little witch tried to kill me," Ava said. "She almost did kill me," an outraged Ric countered.

Ava was able to find security footage from the garage and bring it up on her phone. She could see Kristina grabbing wire cutters. Ric said that remembering seeing Kristina at the crash site finally made sense. Ric wanted to call the police immediately, but Ava had other ideas. "Now, now, Ric, let's not be so hasty," she said, causing Ric to smile slightly.

In the hospital chapel, Kristina kept making excuses for cutting the brakes on Ric's car. "It was Ava's fault. She pushed me too far," she said. Lucky interrupted her before she could say much more. "Stop blaming Ava. For God's sake, you did this. You! And you need to take responsibility for it," he said.

Kristina claimed she was trying to do just that, but Lucky countered that statement. "No, you're not. The first thing you asked was if I told anyone. You haven't even apologized for almost killing two people. You haven't even asked how she's doing," Lucky pointed out.

Kristina finally said the word "sorry" but didn't seem to mean it. Lucky certainly didn't believe her. "I don't know if you are, but I am. You went too far this time, Kristina, and you need to pay for it. Elizabeth and Ric? They have to know what you did," he insisted.

Kristina begged Lucky not to tell anyone. "The second I came to my senses, I tried to stop it," Kristina said, thinking that made everything all right. She also rightly pointed out that Lucky was the one who told her to run away and pretend nothing had happened.

Lucky claimed that was before he knew she'd almost killed Elizabeth, as if that made it any better. "You need to turn yourself in, or I will," he warned. Kristina pleaded with Lucky to hear her out, so he finally agreed. She told Lucky that Ava had just learned some personal info about Sonny and had threatened to blackmail Sonny.

"She was going to use it to try to get full custody over Avery. She was going to let my dad die. And on top of that, she was throwing Michael and Adela in my face, and I lost it, and I snapped. I'm human," Kristina reasoned. Kristina explained how she thought she saw Ava's car in the parking garage. "Before I knew it, I was cutting to her car...It must have been Ric's car in her spot," she added.

"That's still attempted murder," Lucky stressed. Kristina said she knew that, but she wasn't in her right mind. "The second I realized it, I rushed over to her apartment. You saw me, Lucky," she said. Lucky admitted that after all Kristina had been through, he would have also gone a little crazy, "but that doesn't excuse what you did."

Lucky suggested that Kristina talk to Alexis for legal advice. Perhaps Alexis could even cut her a plea deal. Kristina refused. "I can't take the chance that she could tell Molly. They could never know about this," a frantic Kristina insisted. She couldn't let what she did ruin her newfound peace with her sister.

Kristina also played the Sam card. "My mom already lost Sam. If I go to prison, she's going to lose another daughter, and I'm telling you, she cannot survive that," Kristina cried. Lucky was torn, but made a decision. "Thank God Elizabeth and Ric are okay. I don't see how you going to prison is really gonna help anything," Lucky said, much to Kristina's relief. As soon as Lucky walked out, Kristina texted Molly and Alexis to meet her in the chapel.

When Molly and Alexis arrived, Kristina told Molly she was sorry about everything before falling into her sister's arms, crying. "I have been so consumed with my own grief that I didn't even think about the fact that you lost your daughter too. And you lost your sister, too. I didn't even see that. It was selfish, and I am so sorry. And it's not okay," Kristina said. Alexis was relieved that her daughters had finally gotten to this place.

Anna wasn't happy when Jack barged into her office unannounced. He implied that something might be wrong with Valentin, but Jack then told Anna that she was the one in trouble this time. Jack told Anna that Assistant District Attorney Turner requested every file the WSB had on Anna.

Anna didn't seem bothered by the news, especially when Jack reminded her that almost everything in the files would be redacted. However, Jack was concerned. "I didn't come to warn you about what we sent ADA Turner. The fact that she's asking about you at all is disturbing," Jack said.

"I've gone after a few dangerous criminals in my time. I think I can handle an assistant district attorney," Anna assured Jack. However, Jack wasn't sold. He was sure Turner could cost Anna her job if that was what she wanted to do. "I don't want to deal with another police commissioner. I mean, you're a pain in the ass, but at least you're one I'm familiar with," Jack said.

After Jack left, Anna invited Turner to her office. Turner assumed the meeting was about Emma, but Anna corrected her. "It's about me. Why'd you ask the WSB for my files?" she asked. "That's easy. I'm starting an investigation into you...I'm tired of you letting your friends like Jason Morgan get away with murder," Turner said.

With Robert on a leave of absence, Turner planned to open up her own investigation into Anna's police practices. Anna insisted that everything she did was by the book. "Oh, I hope so, because unlike you, I never look the other way," Turner warned.

Turner took a trip back in time to February when Jason was accused of killing Cyrus but was then able to walk free. Turner also brought up Sonny, Duke, and Valentin. "Commissioner, you have a habit of keeping very questionable company," Turner said, but Anna shot back. She told Turner that this was none of her business and had no bearing on how she did her job.

Lucy sat herself down on Trina's couch and asked her if she wanted to perform at the Nurses' Ball with Kai or do a duet with Josslyn like they did two years ago. Kai immediately told Lucy he was not a performer. Even Trina tried to beg out of this year's show, but Lucu wouldn't hear of it. "You, Ms. Robinson, are always a huge hit," Lucy said.

To Lucy's surprise, that got Kai to change his mind and agree to perform in a number, thrilling Lucy. After Lucy left, Kai said he changed his mind because of Trina and the way that Lucy talked about her past performances.

Carly was thrilled to see Josslyn walk into her kitchen. Mother and daughter shared a warm embrace. Carly wanted to know all about Easter Island, but Joslyn had another topic of conversation in mind. "We're going to talk about how you almost died first," she said, as Jason gave an all-knowing look with his eyes.

Carly told the story of how she was poisoned very matter-of-factly. "You know how I love champagne, so I had a glass and started to feel sick. Jack rushed me to the hospital. Look, he feels terrible about it," Carly reasoned.

Josslyn was stuck on the fact that Carly was in Jack's hotel room drinking champagne while Jack was in the shower. "Are you and Brennan sleeping together?" she asked. Carly told her daughter that her sex life was none of her business.

Carly finally managed to turn the subject back to Josslyn's alleged trip. Joss showed her some photos, but Carly wanted to know why she wasn't in any of them. Jason asked if she had hiked at a certain spot. Josslyn was surprised to learn he had been to Easter Island.

Jason said he was there during his recent time away from Port Charles. He asked Joss what she thought of different places on the island. Joss played it cool and said she loved it. Thankfully for Josslyn, Jack arrived, so Jason stopped asking questions.

"Really, Mom? This guy almost gets you killed, and you're still seeing him?" Joss asked. Josslyn put on a good act, chastising her new boss. Jack asked for a minute alone with Jason. He pulled him aside and told Jason to contact Anna, but to be discreet about it. Jason understood and walked out.

Josslyn resumed her act, chewing out Jack, much to Carly's chagrin. In the end, Jack promised to keep Carly safe. When Carly left the room, Jack offered Josslyn kudos on her performance. "I almost believed you wanted me to have nothing to do with your mother," he said. "Who said it was a performance?" Josslyn responded before leaving.

As for Jason, he met Anna in the park. Anna told him that Turner had Anna in her crosshairs. She told Jason that Turner had specifically mentioned him and Cyrus' disappearance. Anna admitted she worried that Turner would find something that could end her career.

Jason didn't want Anna to suffer because of him. "If you do have evidence against me that you could use to build a case, you should do it," he said. Anna told Jason that she felt things would be fine. They could continue to work together, but they'd have to do it discreetly. They agreed that their friendship would stay the same. They just had to keep things private.
