What happened on General Hospital

Emma woke up in a cabin, but was shocked when she didn't see Gio there. He soon returned with coffee. Emma told him that she thought he'd taken off without her. "No, I'd never do that to you, Emma. Especially now. You're the only person that I trust," Gio said.
When Gio looked at his phone, he saw multiple calls and texts from Dante and Brook Lynn. Gio told Emma he wasn't ready to deal with anyone else yet. He still felt everything was a lie. "I'm supposed to believe that Tracy prizes family and blood relations more than anything, that she's going to care what I think because I'm officially a Quartermaine now," Gio lamented.
Gio also found it odd that Ned was trying to call him. "I've had a few cool conversations with him about music, but that's it," Gio said. "Now, I'm supposed to think of him as my grandfather? No, I'm not going to have fake relationships with any of them."
Gio wondered if Sonny had known the truth. "It would explain why he paid for my entire education and music stuff," he mused. Gio also wondered if Camilla's feelings for him were real. Emma insisted they were. "You loved her and she loved you too," she said. "Having you come into her life at her lowest point? You gave her a reason to keep on going. Are you just going to stand there and tell me that Camilla was not your mom?" Emma asked.
"No, she was definitely my mom. Brook Lynn is just the woman who gave me away," Gio asserted. Emma then looked at her phone and told Gio that Anna wanted to know when she'd be home. Gio told her to head back to Port Charles, but Emma refused. Gio suggested they go to Canada, but then realized he needed to face people. "We're going back," he announced.
In the Q kitchen, Brook Lynn was relieved when Anna called to tell her that Emma was with Gio, but they were kinda out there on a road trip. Brook Lynn asked Anna to let her know if she heard from them, but quickly hung up when Lois appeared at the back door still dressed in her Nurses' Ball formal attire.
Lois asked if Gio was okay. "You do not have a right to ask that question," Brook Lynn told her mother. Brook Lynn confessed that she had no idea where Gio was, so Lois suggested that Anna track Emma's phone. Brook Lynn quickly objected.
"Gio's entire life just blew up last night. My need to explain myself or ask for his forgiveness is not more important than his need for time or space. I'm not going to do to him what you are doing to me," Brook Lynn said. "I have no interest in taking care of you or your feelings after you completely betrayed my trust."
Lois once again defended herself, telling Brook Lynn that she only did what she thought was best. "I did exactly what you asked me. I found your baby a good home," Lois reasoned. "In my own family," Brook Lynn replied. Lois explained how Camilla's husband had just died. "When Ma told her about the baby, you could see the light come back into her eyes. All she wanted to do was raise Gio and love him," Lois said.
Brook Lynn reiterated how scared she was when she found out she was pregnant. "You offered me a lifetime of secrets, Ma, and God forgive me, I took it," Brook Lynn cried. She still couldn't believe that Lois gave her baby to her cousin. "Gio grew up down the block. I babysat him. I played with him and I never even knew he was my son."
"When Ma suggested Camilla, I was too selfish to say no," Lois admitted. "I was so scared to send your baby out there into the world. This way, I could look over him and make sure he was okay."
Brook Lynn then made the ultimate point. "Gio wasn't okay when Camilla died. I was an adult when that happened. Why didn't you tell me then?" Brook Lynn asked. Lois explained that she didn't want to cause any more confusion in Gio's life. She also wanted Brook Lynn to have her freedom. If she had known about Gio, she may have never met Chase.
"But Gio was my son, and all the choices that you made robbed me of my own choices for him. And now that he's an adult, I will never get that chance again," Brook Lynn cried. "My son won't talk to me. I can't help him through this identity crisis because he doesn't trust me...You took away everything he has ever believed about family, and now he has no one. Gio is never going to talk to me again, and I don't want to talk to you again."
Just then, Gloria appeared out of nowhere to scold Brook Lynn. "Hey, don't you ever talk to your mother like that," Gloria said. "You wanna have it out with someone, young lady, you have it out with me."
Carly popped into Curtis' office and explained Willow and Drew's legal strategy, which was accusing a man in a burn clinic of abandoning his kids. "It would be very helpful if Aurora Media could remind the people that Drew Cain is a con artist, that he's not a man who uses his position in Congress to help people, that he uses it to get revenge and settle scores," Carly noted.
Curtis said Carly didn't have to sell him on how horrible Drew was, but he said he couldn't help. "I may run Aurora Media, but Michael is the majority shareholder. If we run a smear campaign against Drew, then Drew could wind up appearing like the victim. I want to take Drew down as much as you do, but this ain't the way," Curtis noted. "Don't you worry. I'm working on something else," he added.
Once Carly was gone, Portia stopped in to talk, but Curtis was in no mood. He told Portia that he couldn't help Carly because of what she had done. Portia understood his frustration. "That's why I tried to stop Drew myself, but I failed," Portia said, alarming Curtis.
Portia then laid out exactly what she and Nina did. "I know it was crazy to hire a sex worker to drug Drew, but Nina and I really thought it was going to work," Portia said, hoping Curtis would understand. Curtis just took it all in before suddenly realizing that Drew framed Tracy. "I've got an idea to neutralize Drew. We gotta do something that Drew can't do. We gotta find Jacinda," Curtis said.
In Carly's living room, Michael questioned Sasha on how she was doing when the baby kicked. She put Michael's hand to her stomach and let him feel his child for the first time. Michael then asked Sasha to stay with Wiley and Amelia while he was in court.
That's when Sasha had to drop a bomb. She would be at the hearing because Ric had called her to testify. Michael worried that Ric knew that he was Sasha's baby daddy, but Sasha didn't see how that was possible. "During my deposition yesterday, Ric's questions were pretty straightforward. He wanted to know about Willow, but no baby-related questions at all," Sasha assured Michael.
However, Diane asked her about seeing Drew and Willow kiss on the Fourth of July last summer. Sasha said she realized if she had just told Michael about the kiss when it happened, maybe this all could have been avoided.
Later, when Michael played with his kids, Wiley told him that Uncle Drew said Daddy would not be coming back for a very long time. Sasha got the kids ready for a swim, giving Carly and Michael some time alone.
Michael disagreed. "Drew made his way into the existing cracks in our relationship. If we were really as strong as I thought we were, there was no way he could have come between us," Michael admitted. "I was so desperate to make her happy that I don't think I ever saw her for who she truly was," he added. Sasha concurred.
Nina called Ava to her office to tell her some things she had discovered. "I just got some new information that could guarantee my daughter getting full custody of her children, but I don't want to use it," Nina said. She told Ava what she learned at the Brown Dog.
"Wait, that means that Michael and Sasha slept together, which means that Michael is probably the father of Michael's baby and not Jason," Ava said with glee. "This means that Michael has been hiding a pregnant mistress, which might be enough to give Willow custody."
However, Nina admitted that she loved Sasha. "And to expose that Michael is the father of her baby would be a big betrayal, and I don't want to hurt Sasha that way," Nina said. "I have seen firsthand how much being pregnant again means to Sasha."
Ava didn't think that was fair. After all, Sasha slept with a married man, so why should Willow take all the heat? "Drew's at fault here. He's turned Willow's life into a circus. That is another reason I don't want to give Ric this ammunition. Cause if Willow gets full custody of her children, she is never, ever going to leave Drew," Nina lamented.
"If Willow's relationship with Drew costs her her children, eventually she is going to leave this man, so maybe it's just better off in the long run if she doesn't get full custody," Nina declared.
Ava pointed out that Nina was in a no-win situation. After all, if Willow ever discovered Nina knew that Michael was the father of Sasha's baby and didn't say anything, she'd be furious. "As your friend, the only advice I can give you is to just choose the consequences you could best live with," Ava said.
Ric showed up as Ava was leaving. When Ric and Nina had a few minutes alone to discuss the hearing, Nina
Elizabeth was pleased when Ric brought her some goodies from Perks. They made some small talk about the Nurses' Ball, or at least what they saw of it on TV, since neither one of them was actually there. Laura interrupted them when she walked in without knocking. She was surprised to see Ric there.
They shared a few awkward moments that resulted in Ric offering to get Laura some tea. While Ric was in the kitchen, Liz told Laura that Ric had stopped by with breakfast. "I wouldn't be surprised if Ric decided to stop by with dragonberry juice every time Lucky stepped out of the house," Laura whispered. The two women had a good laugh over that remark.
After Ric left, Liz assured Laura that she and Ric would always be friends, but she had set some firm boundaries. Laura pointed out that Lucky saw Ric as a potential rival. Later, when Lucky returned home, he informed Liz there were things about the car accident he hadn't told her.
Alexis met with Lucky and Kristina in her office and told them the meeting was under attorney-client privilege. "Please start by telling me everything that happened the night that Kristina tried to kill Ava," Alexis said.
Kristina walked her mother through the day and what had caused her to snap, telling her that she wasn't thinking clearly. Alexis was alarmed to hear that Kristina was at the scene and hoped people hadn't seen her. "The police did know I was there. I told Dante I saw Ric's crashed car," Kristina sheepishly admitted to an exasperated Alexis.
Alexis was further alarmed to know that the police had also seen Lucky. After Lucky left, Kristina asked Alexis if there was any way out of this. Alexis suddenly had an idea. She was going to get Ava and Ric to turn on one another. When Kristina was gone, Laura stopped in to tell Alexis she noticed money missing from Ace's trust fund.
