General Hospital recap for March 6, 2025: Sidwell had a surprise for Alexis

Alexis stopped in to Sonny's new house with the same question Kristina had."Why on Earth would you buy Valentin's house?" she asked. Sonny explained that the house had the security he needed, so he was sold. Alexis was also there on business, handing Sonny the paperwork he requested for Gio's education trust.

Sidwell was simply delighted to see Natalia walk into his Wyndemere study. She demanded to know why he was in Port Charles and interested in Deception. "I know you. I know you're here for a hostile takeover," she said. Sidwell proclaimed innocence and said he was a changed man, but Natalia didn't buy it.

"I can see you've bought some new suits and cleaned up your act quite nicely, but I see right through your little facade," Natalia said before accusing Sidwell of trying to go after Sonny. Sidwell denied that he was interested in Sonny, saying, "That one is you," as he pointed to Natalia. Before the conversation could go too much further, Alexis arrived.

Natalia took that as her cue to leave as Alexis told Sidwell she didn't like all the things that she has heard about him, like keeping her grandson's father hostage in Africa. Alexis also wanted to know why Sidwell summoned her to her old family estate.

Sidwell told Alexis he had something to give her. She was stunned to see it was the dagger Helena had used to kill her mother.

Gio regretfully informed Tracy that someone was at the gate surveying the property. Tracy explained that she had hired the surveyor to counter Marty's survey of the Q estate. "I am going to use every resource at my disposal to ensure that my mother, my father, and my brother stay where they are," Tracy declared.

Tracy asked Gio to stay and have breakfast with the family because she appreciated how thoughtful he was to tell her about the surveyor. Sonny soon arrived, annoying Tracy. She asked him to take Deception business to the Deception offices, but Sonny was there to get Gio's signature. Tracy announced that she had a right to know what Gio needed to sign, so Sonny told Gio they could talk elsewhere.

Tracy demanded to see the papers, so Sonny handed them over. Tracy took one look and exclaimed, "An educational trust?!? Absolutely not!" Sonny explained that he had been paying for Gio's education for years, but Tracy was putting a stop to it. "As of now, his education will be managed by us," Tracy declared. She then asked every adult in the room if they wanted Sonny's "ill-gotten gains" to pay for Gio's college.

Sonny put his foot down and handed Gio the envelope, and Gio signed the papers. When Tracy was alone in the living room with Gio, she told him she was impressed. "It took a lot of nerve to defy me, and you've done it twice. There's a lot more to you than meets the eye," she observed. Gio told Tracy that Sonny has been there for him ever since his mother died, so he is forever grateful.

Lois appeared at Sonny's door soon after he arrived home. She apologized to Sonny for Tracy's behavior, but Sonny was worried. "Do you think I should stay away from him?" Sonny asked about Gio.

Carly was surprised to see Lulu in her office. Lulu handed over the room key she stole the night before and told Carly what she found rummaging through Marty's room. "Dante has a child. A child he knows nothing about," Lulu blurted out.

Carly was stunned to learn that Brook Lynn was listed as the mother in Marty's notes. Lulu explained that she had talked to Cody and learned that Brook Lynn got pregnant when she and Dante were summer camp counselors more than 20 years ago. "If I keep this huge, life-changing secret from him, doesn't that make me as bad as Brook Lynn?" Lulu asked.

Carly reminded Lulu that she couldn't judge Brook Lynn. "You made a somewhat similar decision and I know you haven't forgotten about how difficult that was," Carly said, referring to Lulu's abortion when she was a teen. Lulu admitted it was hard, but she told Dillon about the abortion. Dante doesn't even know Brook Lynn was pregnant.

Lulu promised not to judge Brook Lynn, but Carly had another reason for Lulu to keep her mouth shut. The baby was now all grown up, and she would be upending a young man's life if she didn't keep this secret to herself. "This information could destroy a lot of lives. If you tell Dante, the fallout can be devastating. Are you ready for that?" Carly asked.

Carly also wanted to know why Marty had all this info. Lulu wasn't sure, but she told Carly all about Chase's sterility issues. "Maybe she's trying to find the baby she gave up," Lulu surmised. She then reminded Carly that if she kept the secret, then Carly had to do the same. Carly said she could because, in this situation, Brook Lynn reminded her of Bobbie.

Felicia brought James into the ER with a possibly broken arm. Willow and Isaiah examined him and learned that he was sledding — off the roof. James was afraid if he needed a cast, his mom would find out what he did.

Felicia informed her grandson that she was going to tell Maxie either way. James chose a pink cast because it was Maxie's favorite color. He hoped she would be less mad if he was wearing pink. When James spotted football star Kai Taylor, he got Kai to sign his cast.

Ric arrived at Portia's office at Ava's behest. He had no idea what the case was about but was curious to hear if it was lucrative. Portia admitted that it wasn't a hospital case. It was personal, and she was desperate. "Well, you must be desperate if you're talking to me," Ric said.

Ric pointed out that the only problem Portia had with him was his connection to Heather, but since that was over, he thought they could get along. Portia told him that this was about Heather, which confused Ric. "If I'm going to help you, you have to stop speaking so cryptically and tell me exactly what is going on," Ric stressed.

Portia explained the entire situation to Ric, who was stunned to learn a congressman was blackmailing the hospital chief of staff. Ric promised to do some research to see what the legal ramifications would be if Portia were to be exposed. For now, she just needed to let Drew believe she was cooperating. Portia sent Drew a text to indicate just that.

Drew met with Elizabeth at GH to talk about a hospital sports program for kids. Drew was helping sponsor the program in honor of Oscar. Trina and Kai also met with Drew about this new project. Trina introduced Drew to Kai as one of the people who saved her life in Greenland. Kai was happy to be a star athlete who would visit sick kids and promised to get other PCU athletes involved.
