At the hospital, Carly and Lucas discussed Lulu’s condition. Lucas told Carly that Holly had contacted Ethan for testing, but he wasn’t a donor match. They soon ran into Ava, who was surprised to see Lucas and assumed he was in town on a vacation.

Carly told Ava that Lucas is General Hospital’s new trauma surgeon. Ava brought up Julian’s name, and Carly snapped back, saying that it was interesting that she would mention him. Carly pointed out that Julian was the reason that Lulu was fighting for her life. Lucas asked to speak to Ava alone.

Lucas wanted to know why Ava outed Blaze. Ava said she hadn’t meant to, she had just wanted to target Natalia for being homophobic. Ava thought it would help in her custody battle with Sonny, but it didn’t. Lucas noted that Ava was so much like Julian.

Ava reminded Lucas that Julian loved him. Lucas admitted that not all of his memories of Julian were bad but said his dad was his own worst enemy. Ava asked Lucas to share a good memory as it had been a long time since anyone said anything kind about Julian. Lucas tried to reminisce about Julian marrying Alexis, but Ava interrupted to complain about the "Julexis" relationship.

Ava told Julian that no one should be judged by the worst thing they had done. She said that she also wanted them to be closer. Lucas agreed to think about it. Ava hoped that Lucas didn’t have so much family he could afford to throw away his father’s side. Lucas said he would never throw away Avery or her mother.

Martin told Alexis that he left the photo with an assistant but said the P.I. did more digging. He explained that he had confirmation of the room service meal Brennan had ordered, which included champagne for two. Alexis didn’t think it would do much, but Martin was sure she would be released by the end of the day.

Anna arrived in Robert's office and threw a file on his desk. She told him that she had proof that Alexis was innocent. Anna also told Robert about the gun that was left in a package. She said she would bring in Ric and Elizabeth to positively identify it. In addition, the lab had confirmed the gun had residue from the same river, and it was registered to Sonny.

Anna and Robert agreed that Alexis was probably not Jagger’s killer and that Sonny was guilty. Anna said that if Sonny killed Cates, they would never find the weapon, and the FBI would have to build a case without the gun.

Robert told Anna that Sonny wanted to talk. Anna said Kristina had information, but Michael stopped her from sharing it. Anna confirmed that she would not share the ballistic information until after Sonny confessed. Anna noted that Carly was Sonny’s alibi. Anna thought Carly wouldn’t want to go down for Sonny's sake and might want to change her statement.

Elizabeth told Portia that people were being tested to see if they were a match for Lulu, so the lab was extra busy. She asked if Portia would authorize overtime for the lab techs, and Portia agreed. Portia questioned if Elizabeth had any trouble with Brad.

Elizabeth said that Brad’s work and behavior had been flawless. Portia worried that Brad’s employment put the hospital at risk. Elizabeth said she wouldn’t defend Brad as a person, but his work was good.

At the police station, Dex and Dante talked about Lulu. Dante said he would take some time off to spend it with Rocco and Lulu. Dex mentioned that someone dropped off a package that was thought to be a bomb but turned out to be a gun. Dex said the theory was that it was the same gun that Alexis tossed off the bridge.

Kristina visited Sonny’s and saw Michael on the couch. Sonny said he knew she went to see Anna but wasn’t mad. Sonny announced that he wasn’t going to let Alexis pay for his crimes, so he was going to confess.

Kristina was upset. She tried to talk her dad out of confessing, but Sonny said it was the right thing to do. “I don’t want anyone else paying for Jagger Cates’ death,” Sonny said.

At the hospital, Cody ran into Elizabeth while having his liver tested to see if he could be a donor for Lulu. Cody said a lot more people were coming in to test as well. He went to the lab and was surprised to see Brad. Brad told Cody that he really wanted the job and wouldn’t mess it up. Cody said Britt would be happy he was back. Brad admitted he used her name to get in the door.

After his test, Cody told Brad that he was Mac’s son. Brad listened as Cody told him how he screwed it up, but Mac was the best man he knew, and Mac forgave him. Brad said that Lucas was the best man he knew, so maybe he would forgive Brad, too.

Excited at the thought, Brad hugged Cody. Just then, Portia walked up and chastised Brad for being unprofessional. She reminded Brad he was on probation. Brad assured her he wouldn’t be a problem.

Michael took Kristina to her therapy appointment, but she insisted he go to work. As soon as Michael left, Kristina messaged Dante. She told him she was at the hospital and they needed to talk as soon as possible. Dante wrote back that he was on his way to the hospital. As Dante packed up to leave, Dex stopped him. Dex said that Anna didn’t want anyone to know about the gun.

At the hospital, Kristina told Dante that Sonny was meeting the FBI at noon to confess to killing Cates. Dante asked if Kristina killed or saw who killed Cates. She said she did not. Dante advised her to say and do nothing and trust Sonny to deal with it.

Sonny visited Alexis in Pentonville and told her that he was going to confess. He explained that he would get the FBI to put it in writing first that Alexis, Kristina, and Carly would be immune to any charges. Sonny said he would not let Alexis spend her life in prison. Alexis thanked Sonny before he asked her to take care of their girl before leaving.

A representative from General Hospital’s legal department came to talk to Elizabeth. She gave Elizabeth a subpoena from the Court of Appeals regarding Heather Webber. Elizabeth asked Brad to look into it. He was surprised she trusted him with the job but immediately got to work on the task.

Anna saw Carly at the police station and asked her if she wanted to change her statement about the night that Cates was killed. Anna reminded Carly that she could be federally charged. Anna showed a picture of Carly and Brennan and questioned if she was really back with Sonny. Carly asked why Anna would care.

Anna asked Carly about the room service bill and warned that Carly was making a big mistake getting involved with Brennan. Anna said she’d known Brennan for a really long time and knew what he was capable of. Carly didn’t care that Anna thought Brenna was dangerous. Carly said she wouldn’t take dating advice from Anna.

Carly wanted to call Diane, but Anna told her it wasn’t necessary. Anna added that Diane was going to be busy. Anna again asked if Carly wanted to change her statement, but she declined. “You know, loyalty is a very commendable thing unless you’re giving it to the wrong person,” Anna said. Carly still refused to change her statement and left.

Cody saw Dante and knew he was stressed. He got Dante to confide about the gun and how Sonny was going to confess, unaware that evidence had turned up. Dante was conflicted about his ethics and wasn't sure what to do. Cody asked, “After everything that FBI guy did to your family, ask what is more important to you — your family or your job?”

Elizabeth told Portia about the court order. Portia wasn’t concerned, as mistakes often happen on tests. Elizabeth said it could cast doubt on other tests that were used as evidence. Meanwhile, Brad returned to the lab and found something strange about Heather's blood tests. “Dr. Portia Robinson, what have you been up to?” he asked.

Michael told Carly that he couldn’t contact Kristina. They worried that Kristina would do something rash.

Distraught about Sonny’s confession, Kirstina went to see her mom. Kristina told Alexis how she had tried to talk to Anna. Alexis told Kristina to stop trying to help as she was making everything worse. “Everyone keeps saying that,” Kristina said. She lamented to Alexis how everything was her fault. Alexis told her Sonny was doing the right thing by turning himself in.

Sonny arrived at the police station early. Anna told him to follow her into the interrogation room. As they walked away, Dante called out for his dad. Sonny turned, and Dante told him, “Dad, wait! There is something you should know.”
