From her office, Anna called Jack and left a message, demanding an update on whether or not he was saving Sasha. As she hung up, Ric walked in. “Ava Jerome’s trial starts soon. Despite recent tragic events, I still have a duty to protect my client to the best of my ability,” Ric explained. He wanted to know about the photographs taken at the time of Kristina’s accident. Ric said he had his copies but wanted to know where Anna got hers.
Anna recalled that her statement indicated that photos that depicted an altercation came to her attention. Ric praised her statement but still wanted to know who took the pictures. Ric suggested there were reasons that the whole case should be thrown out.
Anna reviewed the file and confirmed that Dante was the first cop on the scene but was unaware that the room Kristina fell from was Ava’s. Anna added that Chase took over once she was brought in. Ric pointed out they didn’t have a reason to arrest Ava until Jason was involved. “I’m asking you flat out. Was Jason the one who provided you with the photos in question?” Ric queried. Anna said a P.I. hired by Sonny took the photos. Anna said she didn’t get the pictures from Sonny but accused Ric of using the case to get to the brother he hated. Ric said that the fact that Anna would believe Jason showed either bias against Ava or incredible naivete on her part. “Which is it, Commissioner?” Ric asked.
Ric said he thought that Anna was too close to known criminals, and as a result, she was willing to bend the rules for them. Anna’s phone began to ring, and she told Ric to see himself out.

Alexis went to the Quartermaine’s to see Scout, but she was already asleep. She thanked Olivia for letting Scout and Danny stay there. Olivia said that Alexis was welcome to live there, too. Alexis told Olivia that she thought Scout and Danny should live with her. Alexis pointed out that Drew would be in Washington a lot if elected, and she didn’t think Jason was prepared to raise a teenager. “I don’t think Sam would want Jason to raise Danny alone,” Alexis explained.
Olivia and Alexis sat on the couch and cried about Sam. “You know what they say about how mothers aren’t supposed to outlive their children? It’s true,” Alexis said sadly.
Alexis showed Olivia the ring that Dante gave Sam. Olivia shared how excited Dante had been about it. “I know this sounds crazy, but some part of me is happy that my son got to propose to the woman that he loved more than anything and have her say yes,” Olivia cried. “She was so happy,” Alexis said before breaking down. “I hope this doesn’t come out the wrong way, but I’m actually glad that you were there with Sam,” Olivia shared, and Alexis tearfully agreed.
Dante stood outside the Quartermaine’s, and Brook Lynn checked on him. She wondered if he was cold, but he said he didn’t know how he felt about anything. Brook Lynn brought Dante inside and tried to get him to eat. Dante admitted he didn’t know how he would take care of his family on his own without Sam.
Brook Lynn invited Dante to stay there and said he was an amazing dad. Dante just didn’t feel like a family without Sam. Chase came in, and Dante looked sad, watching them be a couple.
Dante told Brook Lynn and Chase that Rocco was quiet and trying to be supportive. Chase noted that Sam and Dante were engaged, and Brook Lynn questioned Dante about it. Dante confirmed he proposed after surgery, then excused himself from the room. Brook Lynn told Chase she had just managed to make a heartbroken man hurt even worse. “There is no “worse” for Dante right now,” Chase said. “It just keeps getting sadder,” Brook Lynn cried.
Brook Lynn told Chase she was glad he was home from Seattle as she missed him. She added that his snoring comforted her. They acknowledged how lucky they were, especially given the circumstances with Sam.
Chase shared how it had been in Seattle with Violet. He said that Violet wanted to remind them she still wanted a cousin. Brook Lynn said they should start taking steps to make that happen. “Something like this?” Chase said before kissing her.
Chase and Brook Lynn discussed tracking cycles and using apps to plan for a baby. Chase noted that he didn’t want to lose being spontaneous. They agreed however it happened, they just wanted to make a baby together.
In the living room, Alexis told Dante she was starting to work on funeral arrangements. Dante told her whatever she decided was best. He saw the ring and recalled showing it to his mom before proposing. “It feels like I bought this ring ages ago,” Dante said.
“I don’t want to rush into things, but I want to give the kids as much stability as I can,” Alexis told Dante. Alexis added that she knew Dante was hurting but thought Danny and Scout should live with her. Dante thought they would all live together at the Quartermaines for now. Alexis agreed it would help the kids not be lonely without their mom.
Dante thought he would grow old with Sam and couldn’t imagine his life without her. Alexis knew that was how it was supposed to be. Dante hugged Alexis.
Tracy went to the barn and asked Cody where Sasha was. “If Sasha took off, I’m sorry, but I’m the last one she would tell,” Cody said. Cody explained that, for once, he didn’t mess anything up. “Turns out Sasha and I are first cousins,” Cody said. Tracy cackled and asked how it was possible. Cody explained that Sasha was the daughter of Robert and Holly. Cody explained Holly’s parenting or lack thereof. Tracy told Cody to consider himself lucky that he had dodged a bullet.
Cody and Tracy argued that Sasha was not like her mother. Cody thought that even if Sasha pulled a few cons, it made her even more perfect for him. Tracy reminded Cody that he wasn’t that person anymore. “You wouldn’t say that if you knew what I pulled the other day,” Cody told her.
Cody told Tracy how Drew paid him $50,000 to keep quiet about something. “That he made out with Willow and was banging her mom?” Tracy asked. Cody was surprised that Tracy knew. Tracy laughed and said that the whole family knew and that they had hired people to ensure it didn’t go viral. Cody regretfully admitted that he shouldn’t have gotten drunk and gone after Drew. “No! You should have held out for $100,000,” Tracy replied.
Cody laughed and said he was drunk and not thinking. He ranted about Drew and how he assumed that Cody could be bought. “I found it insulting,” Cody said. “I think this situation proves that Drew is actually a real Quatermaine,” Tracy noted. “Philandering is definitely in the family DNA, but Drew didn’t grow up in the family. But there you have it, his roots are starting to show,” Tracy told Cody.
Tracy told Cody that she would teach him how to invest. She asked Cody to keep his eyes on Drew, and they would bring him down together when he inevitably strayed. “Anything that involved bringing down Drew, count me in,” Cody agreed.
At Brennan’s office, Holly fretted about what Sidwell may have done to Sasha. Holly noted that Sidwell wanted her to bring the diamonds, and she should have done it herself. Holly asked if Brennan was on Sasha’s side and worried that so many things could go wrong. Robert told Holly they had to trust Jason and Brennan to bring Sasha back to them.
Robert answered his phone and was shocked to hear about the bomb. Holly asked if Sasha was alive. She couldn’t take the suspense and said she would find out for herself. Robert called after her as Holly ran from the office.
Jason arrived at the warehouse and told Sidwell he brought the diamonds. Sidwell laughed, saying that Holly obviously didn’t care about her daughter. Sidwell’s men surrounded Jason with guns drawn. Jason showed Sidwell some of the diamonds and said that if he showed him, Sasha, he would show him the rest.
Jason told Sidwell that he had been instructed to hand over the diamonds after he was given proof of life. “Fine,” Sidwell said with an eye roll. He showed a live cam on his phone that showed Sasha picking off a vent cover and trying to escape.
Jason asked where Sasha was hidden. Sidwell told him there were five floors and 30 offices, but he wouldn’t have much time to find her as he had a bomb set on a timer. “Your move, Mr. Morgan,” Sidwell said. Jason gave him the diamonds, and Sidwell told him which room Sasha was in. Jason took off to find her.
Sasha found the bomb under the desk. The timer had less than four minutes left on it. Jason found her and kicked in the door. With seconds to spare, they ran for their lives. From a view outside, we saw the bomb blow up the building.
Anna was notified of the explosion and arrived at the burning warehouse. She was briefed by an officer who showed her an evidence bag. Anna said she thought she knew what this was about. She ordered street cams and eyewitness accounts to find out what happened.
Jason and Sasha arrived at the WSB office. She asked how he was dragged into the mess. Jason explained that she was with Carly when Sidwell took her and that he had been with Holly at the compound. Jason revealed that Sidwell had the diamonds. “Your mom gave up those diamonds to save you,” he added.
Robert and Holly rushed in and thanked Jason and Brennan for finding Sasha. Robert hugged Sasha, and they had a tender, caring moment. Jason was glad it all worked out. His phone rang, but he took the call in the hallway. “I’m at a crime scene,” Anna told him. She said she wanted answers and to meet her at her office.
Sasha asked Holly if the diamonds Jason gave Sidwell were real or fake. Holly said they were real, and she didn’t want to risk Jenz thinking he had been tricked. “Like those diamonds, the love I feel for you is real. And whether you believe it or not, there is nothing more important in this world to me than you,” Holly told Sasha.
