What you missed on General Hospital

Kristina dropped by Alexis' office and learned that Valentin was back — and he needed a lawyer. Alexis didn't think she was skilled enough to get her "international fugitive" cousin released from prison, especially after he tried to poison Carly. However, Alexis planned to do her best. "Even Valentin deserves representation," she said.

Just then, Ava came storming in to talk, but when she saw Kristina there, she stopped in her tracks. She tried to get Kristina to leave, but Kristina refused so Ava once again begged for some of that Cassadine money. Before Alexis could even respond, Kristina told Ava she couldn't have a dime.

Ava chimed in and once again told Kristina that she would always regret what happened the day Kristina fell out the window, but reiterated that a jury found her not guilty of committing a crime. Alexis sent both women to their corners and asked Avae to leave. Before she did, Ava shot back. "I understand your need to protect your daughter but fueling Kristina's delusions isn't doing her any good. She is not being rational and you know that," Ava said.

Valentin was brought into the PCPD interrogation room in chains to see Jason on Jason's side of the table. "Are you going to assassinate me in a police station? It's certainly gutsy," Valentin remarked. Valentin was ready to cut the small talk and get down to business so Jason told him he was there to learn everything he could about Jack Brennan. He wanted Valentin to start talking.

"In all the years I've known him I've never seen him vulnerable or scared until last night," Valentin said. He then offered to tell Jason everything he knew about Jack if Jason would break him out of jail. "It's not gonna happen, but I might think about doing you a favor at some point in the future," Jason said.

Valentin supposed he owed Jason a favor for delivering Charlotte to Lulu safely. Valentin told Jason that he suspected that Jack was more than just a station chief. He believed that Jack was still the head of the WSB. "Lowly station chiefs don't order drone strikes on other continents," Valentin said. "He didn't try to kill me last night for the Bureau. He tried to kill me for Carly," Valentin added.

Jason thanked Valentin for the info and got up to leave but Valentin had more to say. "Whatever Jack wants, Jack's gonna get. So, if he wants Carly, he's gonna get her. He'll use whatever tool he has, including the WSB. Unless you intervene."

After Jason left, Alexis arrived. "I take it you need legal representation," she said. "You're a brilliant lawyer, but I don't even think you could save me," Valentin replied. However, there was something else he needed Alexis to do.

As Carly slept in her hospital bed, she had a nightmare about the poisoning. When she woke, she found a somber Lucas standing at the door. Lucas brought her a bag of clothes and remarked how she was admitted in only a bathrobe. Carly insisted that Valentin was the problem and not Jack. "I wasn't even the intended target," she said.

Lucas didn't seem to care and became the next person to warn her away from Jack. "You slept with the guy and two minutes later you're on death's door," he said. Carly still argued that wasn't Jack's fault. "I'm not going to blame Jack for something Valentin did. Jack is not the threat. Valentin is."

Carly was glad to hear that Valentin was in custody. "Great. Problem solved" she declared, to which Lucas vehemently disagreed. "Nobody wants to see you happy more than I do, but is it too much to ask that you date someone who won't get you killed?" he queried.

Carly changed the subject to Lucas and asked him why he was so wound up. Lucas admitted he drank too much and woke up with the worst hangover of his life. Lucas went right ahead and changed the subject back to Jack. "Risking your life to date Brennan is not an option. There's a long, long list of people who need you and I'm on it," Lucas said.

Later, when Carly was alone in her room, Jason appeared with an order: "You and Brennan are done. You can't go near him again. Your life depends on it."

In Portia's office, Drew gave the doctor instructions on how to introduce him. Portia didn't take kindly to his demands, but Drew tried to make light of things. He didn't want to be antagonistic while Portia just wanted him to trust her that she knew what she was doing at the press conference. When Drew left, Portia looked at a file with his name on it.

Jordan walked in and interrupted Portia's thoughts. She told Portia that Kai and Trina were there so the press conference could begin. Jordan was surprised that Portia still planned to be there after all Drew had done to her and Curtis, but Portia insisted she knew what she was doing.

When they met up at GH, Trina noticed that Kai was no longer wearing his sling. Kai also admitted he was nervous about Drew's press conference. Trina told Kai he was going to be amazing and not to worry about impressing Drew. Kai was just happy to have the chance to help people.

Curtis explained to Jordan that he was trying to do the right thing by covering Drew's press conference. However, he had an ulterior motive, as well. "Why not let Drew think he's won?" Curtis asked with a sly smile. Jordan warned Curtis not to let his guard down with Drew. Curtis knew what he had to do. He was just waiting for Drew to make a mistake.

Just then, Trina, Kai, and Drew all appeared at the nurses' station. Drew took Kai aside to talk, so Trina told Curtis her concerns. Kai thought he could trust Drew, but Trina knew that wasn't true. After Drew gave Kai the rundown on the presser, Councilman Ezra Boyle appeared, also primed for this big press event. Councilman Boyle seemed to like Drew and wanted to work with him. He was especially interested in the esplanade.

Curtis interrupted them to take Kai aside and warn him not to trust Congressman Cutthroat. "Drew will promise you anything to get what he wants, but he has no intention of following through with those promises. I just need you to be careful," Curtis cautioned. Kai told Curtis that he would keep his guard up.

When the conference was over, Drew told Kai he was a natural, but by then Kai wasn't sure if he could trust the congressman.

Portia returned to her office after the conference and was surprised to see Ava pop in. She was impressed with Portia's performance at the press conference. Portia wasn't happy that Drew was using Kai to rehab his image. She was frustrated because she couldn't tell Trina what Drew was up to.

"Because Drew has you right where he wants you," Ava observed. "Or so he thinks," Portia responded. Ava warned Portia to be careful if she lashed out at Drew. If Portia failed in her quest, she could lose everything. As they spoke some more, Drew walked right in and used his kind voice to thank Portia for her help.

Nina stopped by Drew's place to see Willow. She couldn't wait to show her daughter house listings, but Willow had something else on her mind. "I don't need a real estate agent. What I need is a mover...There's no need for me to move into another house when this one is right here and perfect for the kids," Willow said.

Willow figured she'd be moving in with Drew eventually, so she could just stay with Nina for now. Willow wanted Nina to trust her, but Nina knew her daughter wasn't thinking straight. Nina tried getting Willow to talk to a lawyer first, but Willow refused. She was sure Michael wouldn't give her a hard time if she moved in with Drew.

"Michael doesn't want a custody fight any more than I do," Willow said. Nina begged to differ. "If you move in here with Drew, you're going to force Michael's hand. Willow, if you do this, you are going to lose your children," she said.

Willow didn't see the problem, but a desperate Nina did her best to reason with Willow, something that seemed fruitless. Willow was sure that Drew could use his congressional power to help her keep custody of her kids.

Willow then walked Nina out but after Willow left, Nina snuck back in with the spare key Willow had given her. She broke into Drew's safe, found a wad of rolled-up cash, and started going through files.

Elizabeth was alarmed when she saw that Lucky wasn't on the couch where she had left him the night before. However, he quickly walked in with a baked breakfast from Eckert's. When Lucky mentioned that his neck hurt from sleeping on her couch, Liz offered to give Lucky a neck massage that he thoroughly enjoyed. "I think my couch is fine, but next time, maybe you should sleep upstairs," Liz said.

Lucky seemed intrigued by that prospect. "What I feel for you is real and that's not ever going to change," he said. Liz replied that she felt the same way.

After Liz left for work, Kristina texted Lucky and told him that she needed to see him right away. She then stopped by so that Lucky could give her the spare key to Charlie's. Lucky could tell Kristina was bothered by something, so she opened up and told Lucky that Sonny had a heart condition.

However, that got her talking about Ava again. She was annoyed that Sonny settled the custody suit out of court. "And now, Ava can't even take care of her daughter financially," she said. As Kristina ranted about how Ava killed her baby, Lucky was the voice of reason.

"Would Adela want her mother to be consumed with bitterness and hatred or would she want you to find peace?" he asked. Kristina said she wanted to find peace. "Then let it go. Not for Ava. For you," Lucky added.
