On the hospital roof, Sonny talked to Morgan. He noted that the last time he was up there, he needed Morgan’s help, and he needed it again. “I told Kristina that Michael was going to pull through. I’m worried. Can you watch over your brother? Please help him,” Sonny prayed. Just then, Isaiah walked through the door.
Sonny thanked Isaiah for taking care of Michael. Isaiah said he had extensive burn injury experience and assured him that GH was doing everything that could be done to save him. Isaiah asked how Sonny was doing with the stress. Sonny told Isaiah he’d be fine and that, as a parent, his love for his kids gets him through anything.
In the hospital chapel, Drew told Carly that Michael was in the burn unit because of her, as she was the one who brought Sonny into Michael’s life, and Sonny was probably the target of the explosion. “How could you let this happen…again?” he asked. Carly tearfully told Drew that her son was upstairs in excruciating pain, fighting for his life. She wondered if it mattered to him. Drew said he was just speaking the truth. He asked if she had any regrets about meeting Sonny. “I know you love your son, but nothing that you did was about Michael, it was about doing what you wanted,” Drew continued.
Carly told Drew not to preach to her about selfishness when he had sex with Michael’s wife in the nursery where his daughter plays. “It wasn’t like that,” Drew lied. She asked if he even thought about Michael — or if Willow’s hero worshipping was such a high that he couldn’t control himself. “Don’t pretend to understand,” Drew told her. He said what he and Willow felt for one another was more real than what he and Carly had. “If that was supposed to hurt me, it didn’t,” Carly scoffed. She said he had sex with her daughter-in-law and the mother of her grandchildren. “Now I see you for who you really are, and you did me a huge favor when you dumped me,” Carly added. Drew said it was a good thing she felt that way, as he was a lot happier without her.

Once alone, Carly prayed. Sonny came in and updated her that Michael had woken up, but they sedated him again for the pain. The doctors hoped to know more soon. Sonny said whoever planned the explosion was after him. Carly told Sonny that Drew blamed her for bringing him into Michael’s life. Sonny empathized with Carly’s feelings, as he, too, was supposed to protect Michael. They both hoped he would be okay.
Carly noted that hindsight was always so clear. Sonny said they were torturing themselves. “We’re here, and we can’t change the past,” he added. Sonny said that of all the wrong turns they had made in their life, they did one thing right: their kids. Carly noted that she and Sonny needed to be united because their strength would be Michael’s strength, too. Sonny told her that they were going to face it head-on together as a family.
In the hospital hallway, Willow told Josslyn that she didn’t know the whole story and there were reasons that Drew was helping her. As Joss followed Willow down the hall, she said that Willow fell in love with each man who saved her. “Just admit it. In a year or two, you’re going to move right on to your next hero,” Joss told her.
Willow said that despite how it looked, she did love Michael. Joss told her that she didn’t love Michael when she was having sex with his uncle in the nursery. “How skeevy can you be?” Joss sneered. “That’s enough! Leave my daughter alone,” Nina told her as she walked up.
Joss said she didn’t say anything but the truth and asked Willow if there was anything she didn’t use Michael for. “You’re just like your mother,” Nina admonished. “Oh, thank you. I could say the same about Willow right now,” Joss retorted. She said that neither Nina nor Willow could stand to be called out on their crap and that they act sweet but underneath they were “lying liars who lie.” “Stay the hell away from my brother!” Josslyn told Willow before leaving.
Nina told Willow to ignore Joss as she was like her mom, and they both just rage. Nina shocked Willow when she told her that Carly sent Diane and a social worker to her apartment and took custody of Wiley and Amelia. Drew walked off the elevator just then, and Willow ran into his arms. “You’ve got to help me. They’ve taken my kids!” Willow cried.
Nina showed Drew and Willow the court order. Drew said that he just had his head ripped off by Carly and thought it was revenge for them being together in DC. Willow was astounded that Carly was seeking revenge through her kids. Drew thought he could counter it in court next week. Willow freaked out that she and the kids could be separated that long. Nina told her there was no other recourse at the moment, but Drew had an idea.
Drew said Willow and Michael were still legally husband and wife and that Willow had the legal authority to make the decisions about his healthcare. He pointed out that Sonny and Carly probably thought they were in charge, but they were not. Drew said that Willow could deny Carly and Sonny access to Michael to get the kids back. “I would never do that,” Willow said staunchly. She said Michael was a good man who let her take the kids even after he saw the video of her with Drew. She didn’t want to pay him back by keeping his family from him. Drew insisted that Willow was up against Carly and Sonny now, not Michael, and that Carly was angry at both of them and would not be cutting her any slack. “This could be your only leverage to get Wiley and Amelia back,” Drew insisted.
Joss ran into Brennan by the elevator and updated him on Michael. She thanked him for bringing her to the hospital the night before. Brennan said he wanted to share something with her about Dex’s stabbing. He told her he could forward her the witness list from Rice Plaza on the day of the stabbing. He advised her to talk to the witnesses and piece together the scene.
At the PC Grill, Alexis told Ric that her day worsened just by the sight of him. She asked him to do her a favor and eat somewhere else. He was meeting a client and encouraged Alexis to leave instead.
Ric sat with Ava, and she told him that she wasn’t destitute, but she was paying mortgages on two commercial properties, so she needed her divorce settlement. Ric said the only way she’d see a penny was if Alexis granted it to her. “Considering you helped get her disbarred, and Kristina fell out of your window, killing her baby, I’d say the chances of her gifting you that money — and it would be a gift — are pretty slim,” Ric concluded. Ava suggested that since Ric knew Alexis so well, he should use it to his advantage and talk to her about it.
Across the restaurant, Alexis met with Diane. They discussed Michael, and Alexis said Kristina was very worried about her brother. Diane spotted Martin at the bar and left to talk to him for a moment. While she was gone, Rick joined Alexis. He told her that Ava deserved the settlement, especially after all the pain and suffering she endured from her marriage to Nikolas. Alexis said it wasn’t hers to give; she was just the trustee. Ric noted that even if Ava got all of her settlement back, Ace would never miss it. Alexis assured Ric that despite her reservations about Ace getting the money, Ava would never see a penny of it. Ric said that if it was anyone else, Alexis would be singing a different tune. “I’d like you to leave now. I really like the food here, and staring at you is making me lose my appetite,” Alexis told him.
At the bar, Martin met with Cyrus at his request and scolded him for not taking his calls for weeks. Cyrus said that GH was preventing him from seeing patients, and he felt that they needed him. Martin didn’t see how he could help, but Cyrus told him that if he couldn’t get legal help, the Lord would come through in his own way. Diane interrupted and wanted to talk to Martin about the Corinthos custody case so Cyrus went back to work.
Despite Michael’s accident, Diane said that unless instructed otherwise, she would continue representing her client. Diane suggested Martin advise his client to spare herself a defeat and compromise. Martin was non-committal and wanted to find Cyrus.
Lucy introduced Sidwell to Bobbie’s and highlighted the menu. She explained it was named after Bobbie Spencer, which made Jenz’s ears perk up. Lucy told him how great Bobbie was as a nurse and community leader.
Lucy and Jenz sat down to eat, and she continued telling him the scoop about the mayor and how she was also a Spencer. “What do Port Charles and I need to know about our newest resident?” Lucy asked, and Sidwell chuckled. Sidwell told Lucy that he had been with someone, but she used him for his inventory.
At the station, Brennan told Colette that the WSB might bear some of the blame for the Corinthos explosion. He explained that a very unique weapon had been used, something that the WSB had designed years prior. “It looked to me like WSB hardware before Anna had even finished describing the incident,” Brennan added. Colette knew the device was highly classified. Brennan said they needed to find out who wanted Sonny eliminated and also had access to their weapons.
Colette asked if the device had anything to do with Brennan requesting satellite footage of Rice Plaza but he told her that was another project. Brennan explained that Josslyn had asked for his help to find out who stabbed Dex, and thanks to the footage, they knew who did it. Colette reminded him they couldn’t use it for a civilian case but Brennan said he could leave breadcrumbs for Joss to figure it out.
Felicia took Maxie and Sasha out for lunch at the cafeteria. She said that sometimes it was hard to disassociate from work, especially when she knew the patient. “Like now, with Michael,” Felicia added. “What happened to Michael?” Sasha asked. Felicia apologized, as she thought they would have already known. “There was a terrible accident last night at Sonny’s penthouse. He’s in the burn unit in critical condition,” Felicia told them. Sasha surprised Maxie and Felicia by jumping up and running off to the ICU.
Maxie chalked up Sasha’s "out-of-proportion reaction" to the pregnancy hormones. Felicia told her that working with hospice taught her that the biggest regret they had was not telling the people in their lives how much they loved them. Felicia didn’t want a day to go by that her daughter didn’t know how much she loved her. “Mom, I love you, too,” Maxied said.
Josslyn found Felicia and asked what she had seen when Dex was stabbed. Felicia recounted the events but knew she was forgetting something. When she heard the elevator ding, Felicia recalled that Cyrus' Christmas bell stopped ringing at the time of Dex's stabbing.
Jason sat with Michael in his hospital room and saw him struggling. He told the nurse to give him something for the pain. She asked Jason to step outside, so he watched from the window. Jason talked to Portia, who explained the amount of pain Michael was in and that the medication that he was on would have him sedated for several days. She said to a tearful Jason that it was the best thing for Michael at the time.
Sasha watched Michael through the hospital room window and cried as she held her abdomen. She asked if Michael was going to be okay. Jason admitted the doctors weren’t sure. Sasha told Jason how Michael had stood by her when everyone else hated her and that when she found out about Cody, he found time to comfort her even when his marriage was falling apart. “He’s such a good man,” Sasha cried. Jason said Michael was the best. Jason offered Sasha a ride home as she was so upset.
At the nurse's station, Carly and Sonny talked to Portia and Isaiah about treatment options for Michael. Willow walked up and announced that, as Michael's wife, she would be the one making the decisions and that the doctors should only be discussing it with her.
Wearing scrubs, Cyrus entered Michael's hospital room. He told him that his suffering would soon be over and that God was calling Michael home. He prayed, then pulled out a syringe and injected the I.V. bag.
