In Prague, Lulu dismissed Dante and told him to go to his own hotel room. He asked if she was just going to hit the streets to find Charlotte and Valentin as soon as he left her alone. “They are long gone,” Dante said. “That’s right. They are. Thanks to you!” Lulu snapped. “This was my one opportunity to regain her trust, and you blew it all to hell!” Lulu hollered. Dante said he was just trying to help. Lulu told Dante she wasn’t lying helpless in a bed, he wasn’t her minder nor her husband, but Charlotte was her daughter, and she would find her any way she damn pleased.
Dante asked if Lulu really thought Charlotte would just be ready to come home, passport in hand. Lulu said that Charlotte told Valentin she was coming to see her and that Lulu was getting through to him. She truly believed she was going to be able to come back to Port Charles with her daughter, but Dante ruined her chances.
Dante asked if Lulu really believed that Valentin would have suddenly done the right thing and said he had not changed. Dante pointed out that because of the sniper, Charlotte almost witnessed her father die in front of her. “You mean the sniper that followed you here,” Lulu snapped. Dante pointed out someone shot at Valentin five minutes before Dante got there, so they must have been following Lulu.
Lulu noted that Dante was trying to make it seem like she needed to choose between her children by either going home to Rocco or staying to find Charlotte. Dante pointed out that Charlotte chose Valentin but for the last four years, Rocco had been sitting by her bedside, willing Lulu to wake up. He noted that when she finally woke up, she left him and traveled to the other side of the world. “To find his sister and bring her home. Are you really standing there telling me you wouldn’t do the exact same thing in my position?” Lulu asked. Dante said he would, but not the same way. He said that Valentin is good at staying under the radar, but her presence could bring harm to Charlotte, or Lulu could have died as well. “My son’s already lost you once. Maybe you want to let him lose you again,” Dante wondered.

Lulu told Dante they weren’t going to agree. She suggested he return to Port Charles. “This is my life, Dante,” Lulu said staunchly. “So you’ve said. So I guess it doesn’t matter who sacrificed theirs so you could have it. Sam died so you could live,” Dante said. Lulu told him that wasn’t fair. Dante yelled at her about who Sam was and what Lulu was throwing away. Lulu told him she was grateful for everything Sam did, but it was still her life. Before walking out, Dante told her she should return to her son. Lulu threw a vase at the door and screamed after he left.
Valentin stopped the car and said he was pretty sure no one was tailing them. He told Charlotte he was fine, and she said she was sorry. “This is all my fault,” she cried. Charlotte admitted she contacted Rocco and told her mom where she was. Valentin understood that Lulu had been asleep for four years, and wanting to see her was natural. Valentin said they were fugitives because of him, and it wasn’t fair for him to ask her to live that way.
Valentin told Charlotte he should’ve taken her underground but knew she needed her mother. “My mistake was believing that Lulu would come alone,” Valentin lamented. “Do you think Mom was responsible for your sniper?” Charlotte asked. Valentin thought killing him would hurt Charlotte, so he didn’t think Lulu would have done that. Valentin thought whoever it was had followed Lulu. Valentin said he needed to keep running to save his life, but Charlotte didn’t have to keep running with him.
Charlotte admitted that seeing Lulu felt awkward at first, but once they talked, it was normal again, and she enjoyed spending time with her mom. “You deserve moments like that whenever you want them. You don’t have to stay with me. You can go home to your mother,” Valentin told her. He offered to put Charlotte on a plane to Port Charles. Charlotte realized her choice was to be with one parent but never see the other. Her dad held her hand and said he knew it was a difficult situation. Charlotte said that Lulu had Rocco, Dante, Grandma, and so many other people who loved her, but Valentin only had her. “I want to stay with you,” Charlotte told him. “Are you sure about that?” Valentin asked. Charlotte said she was and cried that she couldn’t leave him. Valentin accepted her decision, and they drove off.
In Michael’s office, Michael told Sasha that he would respect her decision to raise the baby alone but asked her to stay in Port Charles. Sasha admitted that a part of her wanted to stay. She said that she wanted to get to know her family, but secrets had a way of getting out. Michael said he hoped to be part of her support system and wished she chose to stay in town.
Michael insisted that Sasha not consider his marriage when deciding what was best for the baby. He said he would take care of his relationship regardless of the pregnancy. Sasha said she dreaded telling the Quartermaines, noting that they would all assume Cody was the father. She said she couldn’t stay working there, let alone living there. “No problem. I can take care of that,” Michael said.
Michael said he had money to give Sasha and the baby and would take care of them financially if Sasha let them. Sasha insisted on being independent. “I can promise you this baby will have a happy, healthy home, and I will provide everything he or she needs — especially love,” Sasha insisted. Michael believed her but made her promise to reach out if she ever needed anything. Sasha agreed and said she would stay in Port Charles. Sasha told Michael that if she had to get accidentally pregnant, she was glad it was with him.
In Curtis’ office, Nina told him not to expect to hear from Drew as he was in Washington, D.C., with her daughter. Nina told Curtis she didn’t think Michael knew yet, but Willow and Wiley were going to Drew’s swearing-in. Curtis thought that was a bold move as it would be a full press event, and he could blow up Willow’s life even more. Curtis told Nina she was still his friend and asked her to sit down. Nina said Drew only cared about himself and didn’t care what damage it would have on Willow. Curtis said they both knew it wasn’t the only reason she was upset.
Nina said she wanted nothing to do with Drew. They both thought there was more to Drew than someone who does what he wants to whoever he wants. Nina wondered if Drew changed or was always like that. Curtis didn’t know if it was because Drew was a politician or if it was a prison, but he had changed, and they had to accept that this was the new Drew.
Nina said that Willow was leaning into Drew’s hero act. Curtis reminded Nina that she could clear things up for Willow. Nina asked how Curtis knew that she was sleeping with Drew. He told her that she just confirmed it by her reaction. Nina admitted that Willow wouldn’t be living with her right now if it weren’t for Drew and everything he put in motion to repair their relationship, but she didn’t think he was good for Willow. Nina thought Willow was better off without Michael but not better off with Drew. “I have to make her see that,” Nina implored. “I know one way. Tell her the truth,” Drew said.
Nina quipped that she couldn’t just suddenly reveal to Willow that she and Drew were sleeping together, asking how she would explain that she never said something. While she was ranting, Michael came in. Nina told him that Willow brought Wiley to Drew’s swearing-in ceremony in Washington. Michael said it was fine and talked business with Curtis for a moment before walking away. Nina thought it was strange that Michael didn’t react to the news. “And that should concern you,” Curtis agreed.
Curtis thought that one of Drew’s biggest mistakes was making Michael an enemy. He was concerned that by not telling Willow, she was vulnerable to being hurt by Drew. He advised Nina to tell Willow the truth. Curtis said the secret was a ticking time bomb, and Drew would only keep it quiet while it suited him. The longer it went on, the bigger the explosion, Curtis warned.
Michael returned to his office and looked at a press release of Drew being sworn in with Willow at his side. He called Diane and told her Willow went to Washington with Drew and his son without permission. “Can we use that?” he asked.
At Sonny’s, Isaiah recommended that he go see a cardiologist named Dr. Pastornak. Isaiah was willing to give him a referral, but Sonny said he had a little sway at the hospital. Isaiah said he needed to get his heart checked as soon as possible. As Sonny explained his need for discretion when seeing doctors, Jason walked in and said, “Dr. Gannon. It’s good to see you.”
After Isaiah left, Sonny told Jason something was wrong with his heart. He shared how he’d felt a twinge on Christmas Eve, but it passed, and that he had a clutcher in the ring. Sonny didn’t want to see a doctor but said it was a wake-up call about how they ran the business and that they had to change some things.
Sonny said there was nothing like lying on a floor, wondering what would happen if he died. Jason told Sonny that business had to take a backseat and he needed to prioritize his health. Sonny knew that Jason could handle anything that came up in the short term but stressed that they needed to think long-term.
Sonny said he’d turned over Charlie’s to Kristina but worried she’d be a focus of the FBI because of it. Jason said the coffee business is audited all the time, but they always passed. Sonny said he was tired of being a burden to his kids. Jason told him that his kids loved and needed him. “I know that’s why I think it’s time to take a step back and maybe hand the business over to you,” Sonny told Jason.
Jason thought it meant a lot, and Sonny told Jason how much he trusted him. “I’ll always be loyal to you,” Jason promised. He added, “But I’m sorry. I can’t take over the organization.” Jason explained that he had to give Danny stability after losing his mom and couldn’t take the same risks. Sonny agreed Danny deserved to be Jason’s priority. Sonny didn’t know who else he could choose. “But it’s not starting today, so we need to think about an exit strategy and how we can survive,” Sonny told him.
Sasha went to the hospital to make an appointment with Dr. Navarro and was referred to the patient advocate, who turned out to be Felicia. Sasha confided to Felicia that she was pregnant but quickly added that Cody was not the father. Felicia asked her how she felt about the pregnancy, and Sasha admitted she was nervous and excited. Felicia asked about the father and said, ideally, they had access to his medical records as well, but it wasn’t always possible, and that was fine. “The priority here is that you are cared for and supported,” Felicia said assuredly.
Felicia got Sasha registered for the prenatal program and then asked if she had considered telling her parents about the pregnancy. Felicia noted that Robert made an excellent grandfather. “I bet. Not sure how my mother would feel about being called “Grandma” though,” Sasha said. She said Maxie knew, but her parents had a lot on their plate. Felicia assured her that she would have the family’s love and support. Felicia remembered Sasha needed an emergency contact on file, and Sasha thought Maxie might do it. Felicia said she couldn’t speak for Maxie, so she put herself as the contact, which Sasha appreciated.
