What happened on General Hospital

Kristina showed up at Elizabeth's room with flowers. Elizabeth was happy to welcome her, having no idea Kristina was the reason she was in the hospital with a broken leg. "I'm so sorry this happened. For you and for Ric. It's awful," Kristina said. When Lucky walked in, he was not as happy to see Kristina as Liz was.
Lucky brought baked goods from Aiden. She offered some to Kristina, but Kristina thought this was a good time to make herself scarce. Lucky followed Kristina, saying they needed to talk about work. They ended up in the chapel, where Lucky chastised Kristina for visiting Elizabeth.
Lucky asked Kristina if she was considering confessing. "Maybe...I almost killed my sister's father. I don't know if I can live with that," she said. Lucky was glad to hear that Kristina felt guilty because at least that meant she wasn't a sociopath. Oddly enough, he seemed more worried about Kristina than Elizabeth. He wanted Kristina to talk to Alexis and not confess to Liz.
"I will help you cover this up, but this only works if you commit to it — and you get help," Alexis said.
In Ric's room, Ava went on and on about the fact that Kristina cut the brakes and landed Ric and Liz in the hospital. She couldn't wait to use the information. "How rare for an opportunity like this to fall into our laps," she said in wonder. Ric countered that it didn't fall into their laps. "My brakes were cut, and I was almost murdered, as was Elizabeth," Ric countered.
Ric still wanted to call the police, but Ava didn't agree. "What does that really get us?" she asked. "A lunatic taken off the street," he replied. Ava wanted to aim higher. "Couldn't we use this information to our advantage?" she suggested. Ric didn't like the idea. "Blackmailing Sonny will get us nowhere, except maybe an early grave," he said.
Ava announced that she wasn't planning on blackmailing Sonny. "I have something far better in mind. Alexis is the one who's gonna pay," she smiled. Ric wasn't too thrilled with that idea, considering he and Alexis had just called a truce. He also hated the idea of Kristina walking free after he and Elizabeth nearly died.
"How would Molly feel if you send her only remaining sister to prison?" Ava wondered. Ric definitely didn't want to hurt Molly. He was actually grateful that Molly wasn't Alexis' central parenting focus because she was saner than Kristina. Ava thought that if Sonny and Alexis hadn't coddled Kristina so much, she wouldn't be such a train wreck.
Ava already planned to extend Kristina some grace by working with Alexis on multiple transactions. "Like a steady IV drip," she said with a grin. Ava left to speak to Alexis, leaving Ric alone for a visit from Elizabeth.
As they talked about the accident, Ric practically broke down in tears. "The fact that I was driving...if anything had happened...If I'd have lost you, I would have never forgiven myself," he said. Liz asked Ric if he remembered what had happened the night of the crash. He lied and told Liz that all he could remember was losing control of the car. "We must have hit some black ice or something," Ric said.
Over breakfast in the Q kitchen, Chase noted how things seemed calm for a change. Brook Lynn attributed it to the crypt situation being settled. Chase thought that Lois being gone also had something to do with it. "I love her, but we definitely needed some space," Brook Lynn noted about her mother.
Right on cue, Olivia arrived to tell them she had a surprise. Lois was back, and the calm was gone. Lois seemed uncomfortable as Brook Lynn offered a small smile. Lois said she would have told them she was coming, but Olivia wanted it to be a surprise. Brook Lynn reluctantly gave her mother a hug. Olivia noticed the tension.
When Brook Lynn and Chase left the room, Olivia had questions. "I knew you and Brook Lynn had a fight, but now you can't be in the same room together. What the hell is going on?" she asked. Lois explained that she'd made some decisions for Brook Lynn many years ago. She added that this was Brook Lynn's personal business, so she couldn't reveal more.
Chase found a pensive Brook Lynn outside the boathouse. Brook Lynn felt she had been ambushed, but Chase countered that Lois had just missed her and wanted to see her. Brook Lynn explained that she can't stop thinking about all the family members who would have loved her son. Chase promised to take Brook Lynn's secret to her grave, "but if you don't the truth to come out, you gotta do a way better job of hiding it."
Chase understood that Brook Lynn was still angry at her mother, but he felt she needed to try to let it go and move on. "I swear I'm not trying to guilt you, but I would do anything to have one more day with my dad. The last thing I'd want to do is spend it fighting," Chase said. "I'm thinking if you really want to keep this secret, you've gotta get over the hurt and forgive her," he added.
"I thought my ma and I told each other everything, which makes this the ultimate betrayal," Brook Lynn said, explaining why it was so hard for her to forgive. She was relieved that she could at least be honest with Chase.
Lulu popped into the Quartermaine stables to apologize to Cody. She finally confessed that she played him to get the information about Brook Lynn's baby. "I didn't know that they'd ever been a thing until you confirmed it for me," Lulu said, referring to Brook Lynn and Dante. Too bad Dante heard her and asked, "Is that right?"
Dante blamed Cody. "Why are you digging up ancient history? Now, you're telling Lulu?" he accused. Lulu spoke up and took the blame. "This isn't Cody's fault. I tricked him into telling me," she said. Lulu told Dante that she'd suspected he wasn't always honest about his past with Brook Lynn, so her curiosity got the best of her so she tried to get information out of Cody and it worked.
Lulu apologized to Cody again, but he refused to accept it. "You two figure out whatever weird thing you do. I gotta feed the horses," he said before walking away.
Once alone, Dante asked Lulu why she was digging up old dirt. "Why lie to me for years about Brook Lynn?" Lulu asked. Dante claimed that he and Brook Lynn were teenagers and what they had meant nothing. Lulu pointed out that Brook Lynn was an adult when she tried to break them up. Dante didn't think that mattered and wondered why Lulu was so obsessed with Brook Lynn.
Lulu admitted that she felt like she had been gaslit. Every time she had asked Dante if there was once anything between him and Brook Lynn, he acted like it was a foreign thought, but now she knew it was true. "It makes me wonder if you're someone I can trust," Lulu said.
A frustrated Dante told Lulu all about his summer at camp with Brook Lynn when they were teens. "It was over before it even started. We went on and had lives and made lives with other people. Nothing that went on that summer mattered," he said. "But what if it did?" Lulu argued. Dante assumed that Lulu's concerns about Brook Lynn stemmed from all the turmoil in Lulu's own life.
"When Brook Lynn came to Port Charles, did you have lingering feelings for her?" Lulu asked. Dante replied, "When Brook Lynn came to Port Charles, the only woman who had my heart was you."
Dante finally apologized for not telling Lulu the truth years ago. The two made up and began joking around with one another. "No more secrets between us, okay?" Dante said. When Dante left, Cody had a pointed question: "Lulu, what are you trying to pull?"
Cody was angry and didn't want to listen to Lulu's excuses. "You're spinning a lot of stories to a lot of different people, and I know a con when I see one, so last chance — what's really going on with you?" he asked.
When Alexis walked into work in a good mood, Diane was sure that something had to be wrong. "You're...dare I say, perky? And usually I arrive after you," Diane said. Alexis announced she had been to the gym for a workout, so Diane was completely confused. "Is this you in a good mood? Did Ric die?" she wondered.
Alexis finally told Diane what had happened. "I got my girls back," she said. She explained what had happened in the hospital chapel. "Kristina was finally able to put aside all that animosity that they had for the first time since she lost the baby," Alexis gushed.
Alexis believed that Kristina finally realized that she couldn't heal without her sister. "I think they're each other's missing piece," she said. Alexis was sure that there were better days ahead.
Marco soon arrived to meet Alexis for his second interview. Diane was called away, so Alexis handled the interview on her own. Like Diane, Alexis noted that Marco had done more corporate law than criminal law in recent years. She wondered how Marco would feel about clients who masked their illegal activities, meaning Sonny and Jason.
Alexis was pleased with Marco's answer and told him to expect a job offer soon. After Marco left, Ava walked in to ruin Alexis' good day. "Hello, Alexis. We have a little business to attend to. I think you can always make time to discuss Kristina's future, don't you, Alexis?" she asked.
