Nina stormed into Carly's kitchen to tell her that she heard that Drew was looking for a DC realtor. Carly was immediately alarmed and told Nina they couldn't let Drew take Willow and the kids out of Port Charles. Nina insisted that things would work out better if Carly didn't have another outburst like she did in Drew's living room.

Nina told Carly that all that did was push Drew and Willow closer together. "I'm beginning to think that's why you want," Carly accused. Carly was annoyed with Nina for just standing there while she laid into Willow and Drew. "I could have used your backup," Carly said. Nina pointed out that Carly didn't give her a chance to speak.

Nina explained she was walking a delicate balance. "I am in a very delicate position here. If I am too obvious about what I want, I risk alienating Willow and losing her," Nina said. She also claimed that Carly was the better spokesperson. "Most of what you said was spot on," she added. Carly admitted it felt good to get it out.

The only thing Nina asked was that Carly not bring up Nelle again. "I refuse to let Nelle be weaponized. I need you to respect that," she said. Carly agreed, telling Nina it was fair. However, she was done waiting for the right moment to deal with Willow. "I am going to get Wiley and Amelia out of that house and that situation with or without your help," Carly declared.

Nina felt that they had to play it safe so Willow didn't feel like it was her and Drew against the world, but Carly feared Willow would never see the light. Nina warned Carly that no judge would side with Carly in court. "If you do that, then you and Micahel will lose those kids for good," she said.

Nina argued that they needed Drew to be complacent. "And when he screws up, I will be in Willow' ear whispering to her to make sure she knows all about it," Nina said. Carly agreed to Nina's plan, but when Nina left, she picked up the phone and called Diane, who came right over.

Carly wanted to move forward with the custody case on Michael's behalf. She wanted to schedule the hearing. "I want Drew, Willow, and Nina to think that this hearing is far off in the future, and then I want reality to completely blindside them," Carly said.

Willow met with Jason in the Q solarium, worried that someone would see her there. "I need your help. Please, Jason, you are my last chance," she said. Willow was desperate for Jason to talk to Carly on her behalf. "Please, Jason, I am begging you. Tell her not to take my kids away from me," she cried.

Jason explained that Carly was fighting hard for Michael because Michael couldn't fight for himself. "I can't put my life on hold while Michael gets better, and it's not fair to ask me to, especially when nobody can guess how long that will be," Willow complained.

Jason told Willow what she did was her choice, "But I'm not the one who can get you out of this. I'm not your last chance. You are," Jason said. Willow couldn't imagine what she could do. "I'm caught in an endless cycle of fighting with one person after another, and there's no way out of it," Willow said.

Jason told her none of that mattered. "It's you, it's Michael, and the kids. The rest is just noise," Jason said. He told Willow to stop listening to everyone else and go to Germany to see Michael. "You ned to face him and end this war once and for all," he stressed.

Willow wasn't sure if that was a good idea since she hadn't spoken to Michael since January. Jason told Willow that he believed Michael still loved her and never wanted any of this. Jason stressed that the only reason she and Michael were in this situation was because they had stopped communicating. Willow finally understood she had to fly across the ocean to make things at least semi-right with her husband.

Trina and Curtis talked all about Kai over coffee. Curtis knew that Trina was nervous about Kai's surgery. "Nervous is an understatement," Trina said. She was worried that the surgery might not even work or that something terrible could go wrong, and Kai might never walk again.

Curtis admitted that he was surprised Kai was going ahead with it after Portia recommended against the surgery. Trina thought Kai had made up his mind the moment Drew approached him about it. Trina admitted it was Kai's call, but she needed to be there for him. "But I just feel like he's making a huge mistake," she said.

At Drew's house, Kai told Drew that he was going to take him up on his offer and have the surgery. Drew was thrilled and ready to start making the arrangements. Kai couldn't believe how generous Drew was. "What's the point of money if you're not helping people?" Drew asked.

Drew even thought that Kai should document his surgery on video. "From recovery to return to the field. That's like a hero's journey. Your story's going to inspire a lot of people," Drew insisted. Kai said he was all in before he left.

At the hospital, Portia was excited to welcome a new guest surgeon in a week until she realized it was the surgeon performing Kai's surgery. She headed straight to Drew's place. "I can't believe you're really going through with this. I'm not going to sit by and let you toy with this kid's life. This surgery, Drew, is dangerous," she said.

Portia warned that the surgery could leave Kai in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. "How are you going to feel if you do that to him?" Portia asked. Drew got rid of Portia by reminding her he could blow up her whole medical career and send her to jail.

Alexis lamented to Diane that she barely slept anymore, so the days flowed into one another. "Well, my daughter attempting murder would certainly keep me up at night," Diane quipped. Diane suggested that they revisit the idea of having Kristina committed. Alexis reiterated that she couldn't do it.

Diane listened in frustration as Alexis explained that Kristina and Molly were now closer than ever, and she couldn't ruin that by getting Kristina the help she needed. "Molly is able to move forward now and Kristina is right over the hump," a near-hysterical Alexis reasoned.

Diane felt that they could have Kristina committed and keep Molly in the dark as to why. Alexis knew Molly was a smart girl and would figure out the truth. Diane was also sure that Ric or Elizabeth would remember the failed brakes. Alexis insisted that she would handle Ric and Liz before asking Diane to shred the commitment papers. After Alexis left, Diane placed the papers neatly in a file.

Lucky opened Elizabeth's front door to find Kristina standing there. She claimed that she was checking in on Elizabeth. "The guilt is eating me alive, and I can't live like this," Kristina said.

Lucky invited Kristina in and asked her what happened to "set off this latest flood of guilt." Kristina said she kept replaying what she did in her mind and kept having nightmares. She felt the only way to alleviate her guilt was to just confess. Lucky said he couldn't tell Kristina to confess or not. "It's not my decision to make," he admitted.

Kristina thought she would at least be able to sleep at night if she confessed, but Lucky worried about what feeling lighter might cost her. Kristina knew her whole family would implode. "What is more important? Keeping this secret and protecting myself or confessing and hurting everyone I care about?" she asked, seemingly making up her own mind. Kristina felt she had to keep quiet, but Lucky warned her to let go of her vendetta against Ava.

Ava burst into Ric's hospital room with a new fur coat, snazzy sunglasses, and a designer purse, announcing that "Ava Jerome is back." She was even ready to buy a Maserati. "Relax, I have plenty of Alexis' blackmail money left and there's more coming," Ava bragged.

She even brought Ric a gift, a new watch to replace the one damaged in the crash. Ric felt uncomfortable accepting and told Ava to return everything. Ava insisted she wasn't returning a thing, and Ric had no right to tell her what she did with her money.

Ric pointed out that people would start to notice Ava's "wealth showing" and wonder where she got the money. "You have far too many enemies to knowingly put a target on your back," he pointed out. "If you don't want to get caught blackmailing Alexis, you gotta fly under the radar," Ric added.

Ava finally agreed, so she locked the door, closed the blinds, and climbed into bed with Ric while lowering the bed.

When Ric was all alone again, Alexis didn't let the quiet last. She checked in on Ric, who noted how nervous Alexis seemed. Ric asked if her stress had anything to do with Kristina. Ric even told Alexis he remembered this about the accident just to see her reaction. Alexis played dumb, so Ric decided to be honest.

"Oh, come on, Alexis, you and I are both too smart to be this dumb. You wouldn't be here if you didn't know already. That your lunatic daughter tried to kill Ava but almost killed me and Elizabeth instead," Ric said. "When you want to thank me for not turning your train wreck of a daughter into the cops, I'm all ears," he added.

Alexis announced their truce was over because he was blackmailing her. Ric one-upped her with, "Kristina tried to kill me." An angry Ric then went off and encouraged Alexis to end it by just turning in Kristina, but he also worried about Molly for about a minute. "But she deserves to know the selfish, horrible Kristina that she saw during Irene's death is the person she actually is," Ric spat.

He admitted that the blackmail money was nice, but showing Molly who Kristina really was and how Alexis would always protect her was "the best gift I could give my daughter."

Ric agreed to keep quiet, but enjoyed watching Alexis squirm. "I always enjoy watching your moral superiority crumble when it comes to Kristina. The blackmail is not even the best part. It's the fact that you have to embezzle from a child to do it," Ric said.
