Sonny and Diane met up at Pozzulo's, where she told him that Alexis had been brought in for questioning. Diane looked at Sonny knowingly and said she was pretty sure Alexis hadn't killed John. Diane explained that Alexis had publicly threatened John and that Ric and Elizabeth had reported Alexis for throwing a gun off the Blackstone Canyon footbridge. Sonny was furious to hear that Ric was involved.
Diane warned Sonny that he might have had an alibi for when John had been killed, but Alexis did not. "Alexis has put me in an impossible situation. Why couldn't she figure out a different way to get rid of the gun—or come to me?" Sonny asked.
Diane pointed out that Alexis was her best friend and would do anything for her children. A frustrated Sonny noted that the situation was complicated, but he thought he had it under control. He asked Diane what he was supposed to do.
"Sonny, she was protecting her child, your child, so how do we get her off the hook?" Diane asked. Sonny didn't have a quick answer, but he demanded that Diane keep him updated on everything happening with Alexis. Diane explained that she would only be able to tell him what Alexis shared as a friend, not a client.

At Aurora Media, Josslyn stormed into Michael's office to talk about Carly. Josslyn was still reeling over the idea that Sonny and Carly had slept together. Michael told Josslyn that Carly's sex life was none of their business. Josslyn didn't believe that Carly had really had sex. "I do believe that Mom's given him an alibi," Josslyn said.
Michael tried to reason with Josslyn, calling John a "garbage human" and stressing that whoever had killed him had done the world a favor. Josslyn was horrified when Michael told her that John had arrested Kristina and that Alexis was being investigated for killing John.
Josslyn asked Michael how he had repaired his relationship with Sonny. "It was pretty simple. I realized that hating my father and trying to cut myself off from him, it cost me more than finding a way to forgive him," Michael said. Michael also stressed to Josslyn that they couldn't control what Carly chose to do about Sonny. Michael told Josslyn to trust that Carly knew what she was doing.
At the hospital, Carly continued sitting vigil by Lulu's side. Jason soon arrived, so Carly took him into the hallway and explained the situation with Lucky. Jason wasn't pleased to hear that Carly had gotten all her information from Jack Brennan. Jason warned Carly that she needed to stay away from Brennan.
Carly argued that Brennan was helping her, and the only thing that mattered was saving Lulu. When back in Lulu's room, Carly asked Jason if he thought she and Lulu had similar personalities. Jason said he'd never thought about it before. "But I think I can safely say that no one in the world is like you," Jason said.
Carly told Jason that Dante had called her out on how she and Lulu had not gotten along in the years before Lulu had gone into her coma, but at one time, they had been very close. Carly admitted that she missed her cousin and wanted Lulu back. Carly also wished that Bobbie was still there for her. She stressed that Bobbie was the glue that kept the Spencer family together. "Now that she's gone, I feel it's my job to step up," Carly said.
Carly asked Jason to head to Africa and find Lucky. Jason agreed to go and promised he would do everything he could to bring Lucky home. Just then, Brennan called, and Carly hoped he had news about Lucky's location.
The Deception ladies, including Tracy, Brook Lynn, Lois, Lucy, Maxie, and Natalia, met in the Quartermaine solarium, where Tracy warned them that Deception was in trouble. Tracy was worried about Sonny's investment in the company, especially after Sonny had been there when an FBI agent had been murdered on the Quartermaine property. "Obviously, Sonny killed him," Tracy stated.
Natalia told Tracy that was nothing but conjecture, but Tracy wasn't swayed. "Our favorite neighborhood mob kingpin could take us all down," Tracy insisted. Using her more refined accent, Lois pointed out that Sonny had not been charged, and there was no evidence linking him to the murder.
The ladies were shocked to hear Lois so composed and without a Brooklyn accent. Lucy even worried that Lois might be having a stroke. Lois explained that she had a dialect coach, but the other ladies had no problem with Lois' accent. Lois defended Tracy, saying her former mother-in-law was still bothered by Sonny and Carly doing the "boom-boom in her room-room."
While Tracy wanted to get rid of Natalia, Maxie defended her and called her a gift, since she'd gotten Deception's books in order quickly. Tracy suggested that Natalia tell Sonny to review the morality clause in his investor's agreement. Before leaving, Natalia assured Tracy that she would.
Lucy soon approached Tracy and suggested that Tracy might also consider hiring a dialect coach "to smooth off the rough edges of your tone." Tracy was not amused and told Lucy to leave. Tracy headed to the boathouse.
When they were finally alone, Lois noticed Brook Lynn looked lost in her thoughts. Brook Lynn told Lois that she couldn't stop thinking about Violet asking her and Chase when they planned to start a family. Lois asked if Brook Lynn and Chase had ever discussed the matter.
Brook Lynn said that she and Chase did want to have children, but they didn't have a specific plan. Brook Lynn worried that she and Chase would never agree on timing. Brook Lynn admitted she was scared that a child would be overwhelming.
Within minutes, Brook Lynn wondered if she and Chase should start trying for a baby immediately. "How would you feel about becoming a nonna sooner rather than later?" Brook Lynn asked Lois.
Cody met with Sasha outside the boathouse for a surprise that Sasha had promised in a text. When he looked over Sasha's shoulder, Cody saw Mac and his family standing there.
Sasha presented a beautiful family brunch for Mac, Felicia, Georgie, James, and Cody. Mac and Felicia asked Sasha to join them. As the family ate, they complimented Sasha on her cooking. Even James loved the quiche, and he pointed out that Cody had saved him right in that spot. James then asked if Sasha slept over at Cody's place a lot. "Do you think Mom would let me sleep at Cody's?" James asked.
Maxie soon joined her family, so James asked Maxie about the sleepovers. Cody admitted that he and Sasha did not have sleepovers. Instead, Sasha was his girlfriend if she wanted to be. James didn't see why Sasha would not want to be Cody's girlfriend because "Cody's the best."
Cody took Sasha inside the boathouse so they could talk privately. "I think I would like to be your girlfriend," Sasha said. They kissed before hearing Tracy complaining that her quiche wasn't in the kitchen but instead, at a brunch by the boathouse.
Tracy expressed her displeasure with Sasha arranging a brunch for another family on the Quartermaine property. Sasha explained that Olivia had said it had been okay with her, but Tracy argued it wasn't Olivia's place. "They are my guests. Tracy, this is my day off, and I invited them, and I paid for the food."
Tracy told Cody and Sasha they had overstepped their bounds, so Mac spoke up and put a stop to Tracy's complaints. Mac told Tracy that nobody liked a bully. James then offered Tracy his quiche, saying, "Mom says I get cranky when I'm hungry, too." James also called Tracy "hangry"
Tracy turned down James's offer and left, but James's family was impressed with how he had handled Tracy.
At Pozzulo's, Natalia told Sonny that Tracy had some concerns about Sonny's possible involvement in John's murder. Sonny defended himself and stressed that John had had a lot of enemies. Natalia warned Sonny that Tracy might invoke the morality clause in his contract. Sonny was more worried about what might happen to Kristina and Alexis.
