Brad might be pushing Portia too far on General Hospital

On General Hospital, Portia (Brook Kerr) could be in some serious trouble. She tampered with Heather’s (Alley Mills) blood test results in an attempt to get Heather sent back to prison. That scheme failed, and if word got out about what Portia did, she’d not only lose her job but her medical license as well. She had reluctantly hired Brad (Parry Shen) back as a lab tech, and he uncovered the incriminating evidence against her. Even though he’s tried to turn over a new leaf and be a better person, he couldn’t help but use that evidence to not only bribe Portia into being nice to him but also allow him to go to a medical seminar where his ex-husband Lucas (Van Hansis) will be attending. He used his pull again recently and might be pushing Portia too far.

General Hospital's Brad is abusing his power

On the February 6 episode, Curtis (Donnell Turner) was dumbfounded when he saw Portia being nice to Brad. The newly reinstated lab tech asked to have the rest of the day off, and she agreed as long as he was able to cover his shift. Brad had been a schemer in the past and was not to be trusted. So, Curtis had a chat with him and Brad swore up and down that he no longer worked with his mobstress aunt, Ms. Wu (Lydia Look).

Yet, after that, Brad asked Portia if Curtis knew about their little arrangement, and she said he didn’t. She also advised Brad to be careful with his requests because she didn’t want the truth to be revealed. This wasn’t the first time Brad asked for some time off, and it seems like he’s starting to push Portia a little too far. Everyone has their limits and even though things could be bad for Portia if the truth got out, she might tell Brad to go chase himself the next time he asks for something.

Let’s not forget, Brad put the evidence on a paper shredder but didn’t actually shred it. It could still be out there somewhere, perhaps in someone’s grasp at General Hospital. The secret that Portia messed with Heather’s bloodwork results could destroy her and, in turn, Brad for using it as blackmail. Or, if she’s angry enough at him, Portia might be savvy enough to alter the results and make it look like Brad was the culprit.

Brad wants to change, but extending this blackmail is only going to come back to haunt him, especially if Lucas finds out. Brad’s been trying to get back into Lucas’ good graces, and it seems to be happening, so he needs to quit while he’s ahead, take the win, and leave Portia alone.
