Mac questioned Alexis in the Port Charles police station interrogation room. Mac wanted to know where Alexis' lawyer was. She sadly told him that she didn't have one yet.
When Mac left Alexis alone for a few minutes, Sam arrived. Alexis said that she needed to find out exactly what evidence the police had on her. Alexis wanted to submit to a police interview, so Sam pointed out that Alexis needed a lawyer. Alexis wasn't worried. She argued that she was a lawyer and knew how to keep herself out of trouble.
Before Alexis and Sam could resolve anything, Sam had to leave when she got a text from Elizabeth about Danny.
After Sam left, Alexis told Mac she would sit for an interview but was representing herself. Mac called in Detective Bennett to conduct the interview, since Mac and Alexis had once had a personal relationship. Alexis admitted she had found a gun outside and thrown the gun into the water, but she said she had driven straight home afterward.

Detective Bennett asked Alexis if she was the only one who had driven her car the night John had been killed. Alexis said she was, so Bennett told her that her car had been seen in the Quartermaine driveway around the same time Cates had been shot.
Ava was surprised to see Sonny stop by the gallery to tell her that Diane was postponing their custody hearing. Ava asked if Diane was too busy trying to keep Sonny and his family out of jail. Sonny warned Ava not to rock the boat if she wanted to see Avery.
Ava didn't want to postpone the hearing because she wanted Avery back as soon as possible and believed she would win the case. Sonny advised Ava to find a good lawyer. Just then, Ric walked in and announced that he'd be representing Ava in both the custody case and her criminal case. Ric informed Sonny that Nina had arranged the new attorney-client relationship.
Sonny was furious to hear that Ric planned to use Kristina's recent mental state to prove Sonny was an unfit parent. Sonny turned the conversation to Alexis, chastising Ric for telling the police he'd seen Alexis toss a gun off the footbridge. Ric argued that Alexis was more concerned about Kristina than she was about Molly. Sonny accused Ric of feeling guilty for not always being around for Molly.
Sonny informed Ava that her lawyer had turned his daughter's mother in to the police for a crime she hadn't committed. Sonny and Ric argued about their respective daughters as Ric stressed that Alexis gave more love to Kristina than to Molly. "Oh, I get it. One brother gets all the love while the other gets left out in the cold," Sonny said, referring to his and Ric's relationship with their own mother.
Ric accused Kristina of going about life without facing any consequences for her actions. "Consequences for what? Your client pushing her out a window?" Sonny asked. Ava piped up and once again insisted that Kristina's fall had been an accident.
Sonny had no response, so he yelled that he had to leave and fix Alexis' mess. "If you really want to help Alexis, why don't you tell the police what really happened at the Quartermaines'?" Ric asked.
Kristina barged into Molly's office and asked if Molly had turned her in to the police for John's murder. "If by that you mean, did I tell the PCPD the truth, that you were unaccounted for the night of his murder? You bet I did," Molly said.
Kristina accused Molly of framing her for murder, so Molly countered by telling Kristina that her actions had consequences. Molly reminded Kristina that the situation was about Alexis, who had no alibi and was the number one suspect in John's murder.
Molly and Kristina continued to argue, bringing up all their recent battles. Kristina once again explained how she had grown attached to the baby without meaning to. Kristina also pointed out that she was still recovering from falling out a window, so she leaned on Alexis more than Molly might have liked.
Kristina and Molly were forced to stop arguing when Dex called Molly to tell her that Alexis had been arrested. Molly hung up and once again asked Kristina if she had killed John. "If you did this, you have to come forward now because Mom has just been arrested for his murder," Molly said. Molly rushed out.
At the police station, Sonny found Molly and said he wanted to post Alexis' bail.
Cody dropped by Lulu's hospital room as Dante sat vigil. Cody was ready to meet Lulu for the first time. Dante told Cody all about the first time he and Lulu had met. Dante blamed himself for their marriage failing but said he wouldn't change anything about his life with Sam. "But when I see Lulu like this, I can't help but think about why I fell in love with her," Dante said.
After Dante finished pouring his heart out, Cody admitted he was never good at "the heart stuff." Dante asked what Cody was talking about because Cody had gotten himself committed to a mental institution to help Sasha. Dante went on to say that Cody had Mac as a father, great family around him, and a great girlfriend. Just then, Dante got a text from Kristina. Dante asked Cody to stay with Lulu while he spoke with Kristina.
A frantic Kristina met with Dante in the hall to tell him that Alexis had been arrested. Kristina begged Dante to find out as much information as he could, but Dante informed his sister that he wasn't assigned to Alexis' case.
Danny approached Elizabeth at the nurses' station, looking for Dante. He excitedly told Liz that Jason had just left for Africa to find Lucky. Jason had texted Danny to explain why he wasn't going to be able to see Danny for a while. Elizabeth was stunned to learn that Jason knew where Lucky was.
Danny was thrilled that his father was going to be a hero, and he couldn't wait to tell Dante. When Sam arrived, Danny gave her the news. Elizabeth could sense the tension in Sam, so Elizabeth sent Danny to Bobbie's to bring back food for Dante. He made Sam and Elizabeth promise not to tell Dante the news about Jason and Lucky without him.
When Danny left, Sam vented that Jason could get himself killed just when Danny had grown attached to him again. Sam and Elizabeth were both surprised that Jason had told Danny where he was going, but hadn't let them—Danny and Jake's mothers—know. However, Elizabeth was confident that Jason could find Lucky.
Sam was clearly more annoyed than Elizabeth was, but Elizabeth told Sam she could relate. She resented Lucky for missing Aiden's entire life. Elizabeth told Sam that Jason could still come through for Danny, as he had for Jake. Sam said that Jason was paying for Jake's college from a distance, but Elizabeth gave Jason credit for trying.
Sam told Elizabeth that she expected Lucky to return to Port Charles and just leave again, hurting Aiden. "His father won't stay. And when he leaves, you will lie awake at night wondering, 'What if this time, he doesn't come back? What if this time, all of those risks finally catch up with him?' And that is your worst nightmare because you know it will break your son's heart if he loses his father."
Sam and Elizabeth weren't aware that Danny had heard Sam's whole rant until he asked, "You think Dad's gonna die?" Sam told Danny she hadn't meant for him to hear her, but Danny asked her to have some faith. "Dad's going to be fine," Danny said.
As Sasha cleaned up from brunch by the boathouse, Tracy interrogated her. "What possessed you to think you could hold social events on Quartermaine property?" Tracy asked.
Sasha apologized for being presumptuous and promised it would never happen again. Tracy reiterated that the family expected employees to be professional. "If Cody wanted to throw a party, would you stop him?" Sasha wondered aloud.
Tracy asked if Sasha thought that Tracy showed Cody favoritism. Sasha said she did believe that but didn't blame Tracy, since Cody was such a wonderful man. Sasha defended Cody, saying he had the right to get to know his new family. Sasha also stressed that she didn't want to upset Tracy, since she loved working for the Quartermaines.
Tracy accused Sasha of waiting for a better job to come along. Sasha denied it, but Tracy laid on the compliments. She loved Sasha's cooking. "Sasha, you need to take your work more seriously. You are smart and capable, and at some point, you are going to want more out of life than trying to make Cody happy," Tracy said.
Sasha turned the tables on Tracy, telling her she believed Tracy wanted Cody all to herself as a friend and wasn't concerned about Sasha at all.
