On General Hospital, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is considered one of the “good” Cassadines. While most of the family members have little regard for human life, Alexis had always tried to be ethical, not a villain like Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) and Mikkos Cassadine (John Colicos). In a recent story about the murder of FBI agent John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington), Alexis was a person of interest because she was seen dumping a gun the same day he was killed. She proclaimed that she would never intentionally harm anyone, but a little scrutiny on her list of crimes says otherwise. Let’s take a look at her various murders and attempted murders over the years.
She tried to kill Helena
In 1998, Alexis worked with Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and plotted to kill the evil Helena who had, years prior, murdered Alexis' mother, a singer named Kristin Nilsson. Her father Mikkos had had an affair with Kristin, and Alexis was the product of that union. For years, Helena held disdain for her husband’s daughter, even holding a dagger to Alexis’ throat in the same way she killed Kristin.
Being forced to do what Helena wanted, Alexis wanted to get out from her clutches. She teamed up with Luke Spencer and set a trap for the woman at the Cassadines’ castle, Wyndemere. She and Luke went to the parapet and loosened a railing so that the evil Helena would plummet to her death. However, their plan backfired, as Katherine Bell (Mary Beth Evans) mistakenly walked into the trap and fell to her presumed death.

Stephan Cassadine (Stephen Nichols) was arrested for the murder, so Alexis defended him in court, where it was revealed that they were actually siblings. Helena would continue to terrorize not just Alexis but also Luke and several other Port Charles denizens for years after.
She killed Luis Alcazar
When her sister Kristina Cassadine (Jaime Ray Newman) was killed in a warehouse explosion that was the result of a mob war between Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and arms dealer Luis Alcazar (Ted King), Alexis tried to send Luis to jail, but he was cleared of all charges. She started to become unhinged, and when she and Luis had a confrontation, she shoved him off the balcony of a high-rise building.
She at first covered it up, but when it was revealed that she was at fault, she went on trial for the murder. Her defense was dissociative identity disorder (DID) because she pretended that she had an alternate personality—her sister Kristina—who actually committed the crime. She was cleared of the charges but was ordered to undergo extensive psychiatric care. Her then-lawyer/lover Cameron Lewis (Lane Davies) knew she was faking but defended her, anyway. However, at one point before the debacle was over, she faked being her sister again and used a knife to threaten him.
She killed Kiefer Bauer
Alexis later named her daughter Kristina after her sister, and when the girl was a teenager, she dated a boy named Kiefer Bauer (Christian Alexander). He seemed like a nice kid at first but then started to become abusive to Kristina. At one point, he beat her badly and forced her to frame Ethan Lovett (Nathan Parsons) for it. But when she finally dropped the charges against Ethan, Kiefer beat her up so badly that she could barely move.
Alexis found her by the side of the road, placed her into the car, and rushed to General Hospital. On the way there, she accidentally hit the boy, causing him to later die. Eventually, when the whole mess got sorted out, Alexis breathed a sigh of relief, as the incident was deemed an accident. However, she didn’t call for help for him, and she had little remorse for taking the abuser’s life.
Other crimes
Alexis' various crimes over the years include breaking and entering, assault, drunk-driving, and many other things, including helping Julian Jerome (William deVry) cover up a couple of murders: Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) in 2015, and Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise), also that year. She even went so far as to hide evidence against Julian in the Carlos case so that he wouldn’t be charged for the murder.
So, Alexis is not quite the saint she claims to be, as her litany of crimes will attest. Now that she’s been arrested for the murder of Jagger, it will be interesting to see how the story plays out and if she gets off scot-free once more.
