A Baby Daddy Bonanza...And Tracy: General Hospital Two Scoops for the week of January 27, 2025

General Hospital played quite a game of 'Who's the Daddy?' this week as Sasha's pregnancy came to light, and we learned a few more details of Brook Lynn's first pregnancy, all while she worried she would never become pregnant a second time. Plus, Tracy was in the thick of it all, which will forever be a good time.

Sasha's savior?

Sasha really, really wanted to keep her pregnancy under wraps for as long as possible, but she forgot that she lives in the Quartermaine mansion, where nothing stays under wraps for long. She's also pregnant with a Quartermaine heir, so she better get used to this.

Sasha's life will now be forever entwined with the Qs, meaning she may bicker with Tracy more than Monica ever did. Maybe one day, she will even inherit the house if a nice Quartermaine boy gives it to her. The moment Sasha begrudgingly blurted out she was pregnant so Tracy didn't force her to climb to the top of a bookshelf and catch a mouse was one for the Q history book.

"You're pregnant with your cousin's baby?!?!" was all Tracy could manage before being told that Cody wasn't the lucky dad. (Thank goodness, or that would have been more eww than Drew).

However, Jason knew immediately who Sasha's baby daddy was and confronted her outside the boathouse. Sasha confirmed that Michael was indeed the dad, but that's when things got super weird. For some reason, Jason thought Sasha was lying, and Michael hadn't agreed to step aside and let Sasha raise the baby on her own.

Yes, we know Sasha was once a con who posed as Nina's daughter years ago, but she's redeemed herself tenfold over the years. Jason never gave any indication before that he didn't trust Sasha. In fact, she's become his friend, and he's done nothing but try to protect her from Tracy since he moved back home with the Qs.

Sasha seemed thoroughly annoyed by Jason and rightfully so. None of this was his business even if he did think of Michael as a son. Of course, Sasha's baby moved to break up the tension and allow dumb Cody to believe Jason was Sasha's baby daddy just because he saw her place Jason's hand on her belly.

So, that was also weird. Not the hand on the baby bump but the baby moving. Sasha is about three months along and just entering her second trimester. What expectant mother feels their baby move so soon? If she does, it's usually flutters that nobody can feel with their hand. Is Sasha's pregnancy being SORAS'd in the same way Kristina's was? Please don't let Sasha fall out a window while nine months pregnant — especially after she already lost one newborn. Yes, we don't trust GH with baby stories anymore.

Cody being the buffoon that he is, has already told two people that Jason knocked up Sasha. Maxie and Anna are absolutely stunned, but we aren't. It's been pretty obvious for months that Jason would pose as Sasha's baby daddy because claiming kids that are not his is part of Jason's life work.

Surprise! Surprise! (Not really) Chase is sterile!

Since we already had a fertility story in which the woman was infertile last year, we figured it was the guy's turn. Right on cue, Chase learned he was sterile. Forget the fact that he learned this from Willow, a recent nursing school grad who has barely worked and who probably can't interpret lab results well. Thankfully, Chase checked with his doctor before breaking the bad news to Brook Lynn.

As soon as Chase went off to be on his own, Brook Lynn broke down crying and needed her mother. That's when we learned that Dante was indeed the father of the child that Brook Lynn gave up for adoption in her teens. And what did we say? Ho-hum.

It would have been a much better story if Cody turned out to be the dad of Brook Lynn's baby. First, it wasn't what half the fandom had guessed. Plus, Cody needs something to do besides protecting Sasha. In fact, his obsession with Sasha and her honor is now slightly creepy, considering that she is his cousin. We can tell the show is chem-testing him with Molly, but yeah, no.

Ava's baby daddy blues never end

We're sure Ava doesn't regret that crypt sex a decade ago because she got Avery from her little tryst with Sonny with dead bodies all around. However, if she could have picked another baby daddy, she would have.

Since Ava became pregnant, all she has done is fight Sonny for the right to her own child. Sonny even held her hostage while pregnant and planned to take Avery as soon as she gave birth. It's been one custody battle after another since 2015, and frankly, it's getting super old. There is no reason for Sonny to once again insist he has full custody of this child except that he is mad at Ava. Will that even hold up in court?

We noticed that the custody hearing is scheduled for the same week Beyond the Gates premieres opposite GH on CBS. Is an umpteenth custody fight for Avery really what GH has planned as competition? Perhaps Sonny will have a massive heart attack on the stand. That would certainly get people watching.

Keep 'em fighting

We have never seen a more happening nail salon than the one in Port Charles, a town that seems to have just one nail salon. Everyone who is anyone frequents the place, including the men. Of course, Marty gets pedicures. We'll assume it's all part of his recent glow-up.

At least his pedicure wasn't boring because he got to spar with Tracy the entire time. And it was glorious — so glorious that we think Tracy and Marty need their own spin-off. You know you'd watch a sitcom where Tracy and Marty traded barbs for an hour.

Usually, when characters argue this much, you know a love match is coming. However, in this case, these two characters should just remain friends — or enemies or frenemies or whatever they are. We can't see Tracy and Marty falling in love, but we can see them trying to kill one another in imaginative ways.

Alexis, sue the hospital

After all these months, Alexis finally knows that Sam was killed. We understand her rage that her child was taken from her, but we don't understand why she isn't raging at GH. How could they keep the results of an autopsy from the next of kin for months? While it took Portia and Terry way too long to figure out the Digitalis deaths weren't from Elizabeth's negligence, it will forever be baffling that they kept Sam's cause of death from her mother for months.

Even Alexis didn't seem baffled by this. We wanted to see Alexis scream at Portia because Portia deserved it. We also have to ask why Portia told Isaiah that she'd looped in the police before she actually looped in the police. She didn't tell Anna what was going on until after that scene with Isaiah.

Joy for Jackly

Carly and Jack finally kissed, and Carly finally has a new pairing that fans love. Carly and Drew never took off despite the show sending them on location and marketing them as the new couple to watch. But Jack and Carly are a whole different story.

Not only do they have chemistry to spare, but they are fun. Jack brings out a different side to Carly, while she brings out his more human side. Plus, seeing Carly with anyone who has nothing to do with Jason or Sonny is everything we needed. Jack breathes new life into Carly. He is even honest with her. He put a hit out on our boyfriend Valentin and let Carly know it. How refreshing!

Drew will forever be ewww

Drew Quartermaine might want to go back to using the name Drew Cain because the Quartermaines are pretty much done with him. We know how Tracy and Ned have always felt about this interloper, but now Monica has barred him from the Q grounds. Poor Drew was oh-so sad that Monica was mean to him, making it harder for him to stalk Willow. Boo-hoo.

Drew deserves everything he gets from everyone who continues to read him for filth, and that includes Curtis and Jordan, two former friends who are still astounded at this unrecognizable nutjob Drew has become.

At least we didn't have to watch him with Willow this week, which was a blessing. Can GH give us the same gift next week? Here's hoping.
