Watch out for shooting arrows, because General Hospital's Robert Palmer Watkins (ex-Dillon Quartermaine) is playing Cupid in a new CW Seeds series.
Love is in the air, and this Valentine's Day will be a dream come true for fans of General Hospital alum Robert Palmer Watkins (ex-Dillon Quartermaine). The actor took to social media to announce that he's been cast as Cupid in the CW's upcoming series Cupid's Match.
Based on the book written by Lauren Palphreyman, the supernatural romance centers on a high school student who, after being contacted by a mysterious matchmaking service, learns that her perfect match happens to be Cupid himself.
"Excited to announce I'll be playing Cupid in CW Seeds new show Cupid's Match releasing on Valentine's Day 2018!" Watkins wrote on Twitter. "Thanks to The CW for making me your Cupid."

Cupid's Match was developed by Tongal and Wattpad via a call to filmmakers to pitch how they would bring the viral tale to series. Creators were invited to submit pitches for a series teaser video "that encapsulates what Cupid's Match could look like as a CW Seed show, teeing up all of the romance and adventure, the twists and the turns and, of course, the cast of captivating characters."
The final three video teasers were released, and after a round of fan voting, one version was chosen as the basis of the teen drama. Check out the three videos below, the first of which was ultimately chosen as the winner.
Watkins was let go from GH earlier this year but hinted there was a chance he might be back in Port Charles after upset fans made it clear they were not happy to see him go. Time will tell whether or not that will happen, but at least fans will get the chance to see him on television in the year ahead -- and in a swoon-worthy role, no less.
What do you think about Watkins being cast as Cupid on CW Seed's new series Cupid's Match? How much would you love to see him back on GH?
