General Hospital fans would love to see the return of Lucky Spencer, and former portrayer Jacob Young says he is definitely willing to take another spin as Luke and Laura's son.
'Tis the season for miracles to come true, so will General Hospital fans' wish for the return of Lucky Spencer be granted? According to statements recently made by the character's former portrayer Jacob Young, it seems anything is possible this holiday season.
Now that Young is off contract at The Bold and the Beautiful, where he has been playing legacy character Rick Forrester, the Emmy-winning actor is available to come back to the soap opera he called home from 2000 to 2003. And not only is he available, he's also quite willing to reprise the role of Luke and Laura's beloved son.
"Lucky was a really special time and of course, I won the Emmy for that role, so that's always gonna stick out in my mind," he tells Soaps In Depth, adding that returning to the ABC soap opera has "always been on my radar."

Fans aren't the only ones who'd love to see Lucky make his way back to Port Charles. Soap Central spoke with Genie Francis (Laura Spencer) this past October, and she enthused that she's dying to see both of Laura's sons -- Lucky and Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) -- back on the canvas.
"I would love it! I would love it," Francis said of the possibility. "I think the show is better every time they bring back the core players that people remember from more of the golden years. I think that people still miss them and still want to see them. I particularly would love to have those two boys back."
Of course, there is some controversy over who is the best actor to reprise the role of Lucky, if the powers that be decide to go down that path. Many fans would love to see original portrayer Jonathan Jackson back on the canvas in the role he played from 1993 to 1999 and again from 2009 to 2011, especially now that he has wrapped his time on Nashville. Others loved Greg Vaughan's (Eric Brady, Days of our Lives) interpretation of the role, which he played from 2003 to 2009. But Young also has legions of fans who loved him as Lucky -- and the timing does seem perfect for him to step back into the role.
As Soap Central reported earlier this week, B&B has decided to split up popular couple Rick (Young) and Maya (Karla Mosley), which leaves the actor without a major B&B storyline and without a B&B love interest.
"If B&B doesn't have any stories for me to play and GH does, then I am more than willing to [return]," Young shares, adding that though he's not willing to sign another long-term soap contract, he's keen to do a short storyline arc. "I'm totally open to that. I think [GH executive producer] Frank Valentini is aware of that, too."
Would you like to see General Hospital bring Jacob Young back for a short-term return as Lucky Spencer? Would you prefer another of the character's portrayer to step in? Or should the soap opera keep the character off-canvas for now?
