Jake is Jason. Luke killed his parents. A change of head writers. It is the year that was on General Hospital, and ABC executive Nathan Varni dropped by the popular Kroll Call podcast to review 2015 -- and offer a sneak peek at what's ahead in 2016.
It was a year of transition for General Hospital. The show bid farewell to several of its top stars -- Emmy winner Tony Geary bowed out in July, and Jason Thompson announced he was ending his ten-year run with the show -- and made a change to its writing team.
ABC executive Nathan Varni dropped by the Kroll Call podcast, hosted by Soap Central's Dan J Kroll, to take a look back at the year that was. From the cancellation rumors that popped up online to the rumored GH versus The Young and the Restless rivalry, and from addressing whether or not Geary's exit should have been handled on the anniversary episode and the much-delayed Jake-is-Jason reveal, Varni takes on all questions.
Plus, what's ahead in 2016? Varni previews another Nurses Ball, some reunited couples, and... maybe even another high-profile death.
