Get ready to Meet the Mayhems, because Disney is moving forward with the comedy series that stars James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine, General Hospital). But how will the project, which was formerly titled Amy from Amarillo, affect the actor's time in Port Charles?
Congratulations are in order for General Hospital star James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine), who filmed a comedy pilot for Disney earlier this year that has just been given a series order.
Called Meet the Mayhems, the live-action series will follow a "family of raucous supervillains who recently ran afoul of the League of Villains and now must somehow beat a path to normalcy in a small Texas town."
At the center of the story is teenage Havoc (Isabella Pappas), who stands up against the leader of all villains, which forces her entire family to change their identities and relocate to a Texas suburb where Havoc now goes by the name Amy. With the help of her effervescent new neighbor Hartley (Kayden Muller-Janssen), Amy must somehow hide her superpowers and quell her villainous nature in favor of something she's fought against all her life - being "normal."

Stuart will play the role of Kraniac, who goes by the name Vic in his new life. Meanwhile, Lucy Davis will play Eva/Surge, Malachi Barton will play Colby/Flashform, Reed Horstmann plays Jake/Chaos, and Patricia Belcher will recur as Celia.
"[Writers and executive producers Chris Peterson and Bryan Moore], along with this terrific cast, are fast at work to deliver a fun and entertaining 'fish-out-of-water' tale about an extraordinary family living an ordinary life," says Ayo Davis, president, Disney Branded Television. "While they entertain, the stories also incorporate themes of self-confidence, personal responsibility, teamwork, justice, and empathy."
Meet the Mayhems, which was originally titled Amy from Amarillo, is scheduled to premiere in summer 2022 on Disney Channel and Disney+ platforms worldwide.
As for how starring in the Disney series will affect his time at GH, Stuart previously revealed that fans do not have to worry about Valentin leaving Port Charles.
"I am currently working on a Disney Channel comedy pilot," he tweeted back in May. "We film 15 minutes from the GH stage so, should the show get picked up for series, and while it would create scheduling headaches for some very cool people, I have no plans to hang up Valentin's dancing shoes any time soon."
Stuart has been playing the role of GH's Valentin since 2016. Some of his other credits include Amphibia, Blaze and the Monster Machines, Monsters vs. Aliens, Supernatural, 90210, and The Closer.
