The Writers Guild of America announced today that General Hospital has received a nomination for outstanding achievement in the daytime drama category for 2016.
Congratulations are in order for General Hospital. The show has received the Writers Guild of America nomination for outstanding achievement in the daytime drama category for 2016.
The announcement was made today by the WGA, who named GH's Shelly Altman, Anna Theresa Cascio, Andrea Archer Compton, Suzanne Flynn, Janet Iacobuzio, Elizabeth Korte, Daniel James O'Connor, Jean Passanante, Dave Rupel, Katherine Schock, Scott Sickles, Chris Van Etten, and Christopher Whitesell for the nomination.
GH is the only contender in the daytime category this year -- meaning the show will take home an automatic win. The series won the WGA award last year, as well.
Additional winners will be announced and honored at the 2017 Writers Guild Awards on Sunday, February 19, 2017. Two concurrent ceremonies will be held in New York City and Los Angeles.
