General Hospital's Kathleen Gati opens up about the return of Liesl Obrecht and the doc's juicy new story.
After months of a majorly upsetting Dr. Obrecht drought, General Hospital has finally decided to bring the fan favorite character back to the fold -- and her portrayer, Kathleen Gati, is just as thrilled as fans are about her alter ego's resurgence. Especially given that the ABC soap opera is finally going to delve into the issue of Nathan's (Ryan Paevey) paternity.
"I am very excited and intrigued to hopefully find out who I 'shtooped' to have such a beautiful son like Nathan," Gati teases to Soap Opera Digest of her thoughts on the story driving her exciting return.

While she can't give away specific details about the drama to come, she can rave about her beloved fans -- which she is more than happy to do.
"The awesome fan support, love and concern truly mean the world to me!" she enthuses.
Gati joined GH as devious Dr. Obrecht in 2012. In between major Port Charles stories, she has kept herself busy with acting jobs on shows like Arrow, Fear of the Walking Dead: Flight 462, and Being Mary Jane.
What do you think about Gati's return as Dr. Liesl Obrecht? Who do you think (or hope) will be revealed as Nathan's father? We want to hear from you -- so drop your comments in the Comments section below, tweet about it on Twitter, share it on Facebook, or chat about it on our Message Boards.
