Ashton Arbab says it was "such an honor" to be a part of GH as his character is written out

Fans witnessed the tragic death of General Hospital's Dev Cerci on Monday's explosive episode, bringing actor Ashton Arbab's time on the ABC soap opera to a close.

Fans who tuned in to the Monday, November 23, episode of General Hospital are probably still reeling from shock. A major explosion rocked the Floating Rib, and the tragic event killed both Mark Lawson's Dustin Phillips (which you can read about here) and Ashton Arbab's Dev Cerci.

In Dev's case, the severely injured character passed away after sharing a tender moment with Sonny (Maurice Benard) in which he thanked the mob boss for giving him a family. Arbab has yet to post about anything about his GH exit, so keep checking back to Soap Central for status updates on the actor as they come.

Arbab joined GH in March of 2019 and has been involved in a few head-turning stories, including one in which Sonny took Dev in and pretended to be the Turkish pickpocket's cousin in order to prevent him from being deported.

In addition to GH, some of Arbab's credits include Mutt & Stuff, Alexa & Katie, and the recent Netflix film A Babysitter's Guide to Monster Hunting.

If you're having trouble processing the fact that GH killed off Dev and Dustin in one day, we suggest that you check out Soap Central's official guide to mourning soap opera characters. We give you permission to cry and throw vases, and, really, at a time like this, what more do you need?!
