Briana Lane has wrapped up her time in Port Charles. The actress, who took over the role of Brook Lynn this summer, shared that her final General Hospital episode has now aired.
We always knew it would be a short-term role, but that doesn't make the news any easier to take. Briana Lane broke the news on social media that today -- Monday, November 16 -- was her final episode of General Hospital.
"Playing the role of Brook Lynn Quartermaine on General Hospital has been an absolute joy + honor," Lane shared. "[I] feel lucky to have been surrounded by such a gifted cast, kind crew + passionate producers these past 4 months + it's an experience that I will always hold close to my heart."

Lane assumed the role of Brook Lynn back in August while Amanda Setton took maternity leave from the ABC soap.
At the time, Lane mentioned taking on the role "involved a delicate dance between making the character my own and shying away from an exact impersonation of the insanely talented and beautiful Amanda Setton."
And that's exactly what Lane did during her four months as Brook Lynn. The actress offered a "HUGE thank you to all the fans who have been so welcoming."
It is unclear exactly when Setton will be returning to work. Soap Central has reached out to ABC with a request for Setton's first tape date. However, based on the conclusion of today's episode, it would seem that the door has been left open for Brook Lynn to be off canvas for at least a little while.
