Soap favorite Rebecca (ex-Hayden Barnes, General Hospital; ex-Greenlee Smythe, All My Children) has teased that she's back to work, leaving daytime fans hoping and praying that she'll soon be back in Port Charles.
General Hospital fans have been anxiously waiting for Rebecca to return as Hayden Barnes, and a recent post made by the actress has everyone on the edge of their seats, thinking that perhaps now is the time.
As viewers may recall, Hayden atrociously concealed from Finn (Michael Easton) that she had given birth to his daughter, Violet (Jophielle Love), but she suddenly showed up in July of 2019 to break the surprising news. Not long after, threats from Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) forced Hayden to book it out of Port Charles, and she made the tough decision to leave Violet behind with her daddy. That was nearly a full year ago, and many fans think it's high time that Hayden returns to be with her daughter -- especially because she wasn't really in danger, as Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) tricked her into leaving town. But have the powers that be at GH decided to finally bring Hayden home?
is certainly making tongues wag with her latest social media post, which shows her in a mysterious location along with the bare-bones caption, "Working."
The actress doesn't give any more hints as to where she's working or what project she's working on -- but it's not a total secret. 's former AMC co-star, Alicia Minshew (ex-Kendall Hart), praised her friend for being gorgeous and then cheekily teased, "I know [what the project is], but I'm not gonna tell!"
A few more daytime performers also chimed in on 's Instagram post, including Tamara Braun (Ava Vitali, Days of our Lives; ex-Kim Nero, GH; ex-Reese Williams, AMC), who wrote, "Yay!"; Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan Lavery), who affectionately wrote, "Peanut!"; and Katelyn MacMullen (Willow Tait, GH), who commented with three fire emojis.
Meanwhile, Jophielle Love recently shared that she is back to work as GHs Violet. The young actress posted photos of herself and Easton on the set of the ABC soap opera, along with the caption, Excited ...Reunited... and way too spoiled! Missed you my GH daddy!
Love also posted photos of herself with that have a similar caption (Excited ... Reunited ... and way too spoiled! With my GH mommy), but the mother/daughter reunion doesnt appear to be at GH... so its anyones guess if Loves post means will be back in PC!
General Hospital has yet to confirm or deny if has returned to work as Hayden, so keep checking back to Soap Central for updates as they come.
got her start in soap operas with the role of Michelle Bauer on Guiding Light, which she played from 1995 to 1998. She went on to originate the role of All My Children's Greenlee Smythe, which she played from 1999 to 2005 and again from 2008 to 2011. She joined GH in 2015, was written out of story in 2017, and made the brief return mentioned above in 2019.
