GH's ddy lands sitcom role

General Hospital nurse ddy (Epiphany Johnson) is heading to primetime. The actress will be appearing on an upcoming episode of the CBS sitcom Young Sheldon.

Fans can't get enough of ddy as General Hospital nurse Epiphany Johnson, so her latest career news will be a treat: the actress has landed a role on CBS' Young Sheldon.

The sitcom -- a popular spinoff of The Big Bang Theory -- is set in the late 80s and follows nine-year-old genius Sheldon Cooper (Iain Armitage), who has skipped four grades to start high school along with his less-intellectual older brother. As Sheldon struggles to be understood by his family, classmates, and neighbors, his mother arms him with the best tool she can come up with: reminding bullies that his dad is the football coach and his brother is on the team. Sheldon's twin sister doesn't share her brother's exceptional mind, but she has a much clearer vision of what life has in store for the young genius.

Eddy will be appearing in the Thursday, November 12, episode titled "A Docet, A Little Lady, and a Bouncer Name Dalton," which follows Sheldon as he gets a summer job at the local train museum. Meanwhile, George (Lance Barner) and Missy (Raegan Revord) bond when she embarks on a new stage of womanhood, and Georgie (Montana Jordan) discovers Mary's (Zoe Perry) guilty pleasure.

Some of her other credits include Black Jesus, Those Who Can't, Castle, ER, Desperate Housewives, and Joan of Arcadia.
