Guiding Light alum Nia Long has three projects coming soon

Sharks. Bankers. Affairs. Those are the themes of three projects starring Guiding Light alum Nia Long (ex-Kat Speakes) that will soon be released to fans.

Guiding Light alum Nia Long (ex-Kat Speakes) is a busy woman. Make that a very busy woman.

Movie audiences will see Long starting this week when the thriller 47 Meters Down Uncaged is released in theaters nationwide.

The film follows the story of four teen girls diving in a ruined underwater city, who quickly find themselves in a watery hell as their fun outing turns into heart-stopping fear when they learn they are not alone in the submerged caves. As they swim deeper into the claustrophobic labyrinth of caves, they enter the territory of the deadliest shark species in the ocean.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water, you can check out a teaser for the film below.

Long has also signed on to produce and star in a new Netflix thrilled caller Fatal Affair. The drama tells the story of a woman who is working to put her marriage back together after she has an affair with and old friend. As you might suspect, that old friend becomes... unhinged and quite dangerous.

Omar Epps and Stephen Bishop will costar in the film, which is set to begin production later this month.

In more Nia Long news, Apple TV+ has released the first trailer for its upcoming drama The Banker. The film will tell the story about one of the first African American bankers. Samuel L Jackson and Anthony Mackie headline the project as entrepreneurs Joe Morris and Bernard Garrett.

According to a summary of the film, Morris and Garrett "enlist the help of a working-class white man, Matt Steiner (played by Nicholas Hoult) to pose as the wealthy face of their budding real estate and banking operation while they stand in as the company's janitor and chauffeur.

Long appears as Garrett's wife.

The Banker will have its world premiere on Thursday, November 21, at the AFI Fest in Los Angeles. The film will hit theaters on December 6, and will be available on Apple TV+ in January 2020.
