General Hospital's November Sweeps period just got a whole lot juicier: Chloe Lanier is set to return yet again as troublemaker Nelle Benson.
General Hospital viewers were delighted by the return of Chloe Lanier in the role of Nelle Benson last month, and it looks like the ABC soap opera is extending the fun: a rep for the show confirms that the actress is back in her love-to-hate role this November.
As fans may recall, Nelle was given a hefty prison sentence just a few weeks ago for murdering her fianc Zachary and attempting to murder Michael (Chad Duell). However, there are still a few loose ends to her story -- mainly the fact that she led Michael to believe their baby had died when in reality, the boy is living with Brad (Parry Shen) and Lucas (Ryan Carnes) as their adopted son, Wiley. Will Nelle's return to the canvas this November finally put an end to the ongoing baby swap storyline?

The powers that be at GH are keeping mum about the drama in store for viewers in the weeks ahead, but Nelle herself gave a tease about what fans can expect at some point down the line: before being carted off to prison, she warned her Port Charles enemies that she was hoping to be released early for good behavior. It seems a little early for that threat to come to fruition, but the character's reappearance is bound to bring drama, no matter what the writers have up their sleeves.
Lanier debuted on GH as a young Patricia Spencer in flashback scenes that aired in 2015. The powers that be were so impressed by the actress, they brought her back the following year in the newly created role of Nelle. Despite being a fan-favorite actress and earning two Daytime Emmy Award nominations and one win for Outstanding Younger Actress, Lanier decided to exit the ABC soap opera earlier this year to focus on other career opportunities.
What do you think brings Nelle back to the GH canvas this November? What are you hoping the writers have penned for the character's reappearance?
