The actress assumed the role of Gia Campbell after the popular Marisa Ramirez left the show to tackle a role in primetime. Upon Pearson's addition to the cast, the role of Gia was downgraded to a recurring role. With Ramirez's primetime show having been canceled earlier this year, there have been internet rumblings that the actress might return to General Hospital to reprise the role she created in July 2000.Miller is a relative newcomer to the fictional town of Port Charles. The actress arrived in July 2003, but her usefulness as a woman forced to marry Nikolas quickly expired upon the death of Stefan, a man who had been blackmailing her. A spokesperson for the show had no comment about the impending departures of Pearson and Miller. RELATED STORY VETERAN ANNA LEE TAKEN OFF CONTRACT
