General Hospital executive producer Frank Valentini has exciting news about Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) and Genie Francis (Laura Spencer) that will affect the show "for years to come."
Today ought to be a good day for General Hospital fans because the ABC soap's executive producer, Frank Valentini, has great news about the fate of two of the show's vets.
According to the executive, both Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) and Genie Francis (Laura Spencer) have chosen to extend their time in Port Charles.
"We are thrilled that Genie and Finola will continue to make General Hospital their home for years to come," Valentini says. "These enormously talented actresses have created timeless characters that resonate with our fans."
Hughes joined GH in April of 1985 and has played the character of Anna on-again, off-again in both Port Charles and All My Children's Pine Valley since then. Francis took on the iconic role of Laura in 1976 and has come and gone over the years. She most recently returned to help usher Anthony Geary's Luke off the screen when the actor retired earlier this summer.
